I've been to this Terribles Many times before to get my oil changed but this was definitely my favorite. I've just been informed that this particular Terribles Lube has been bought by Valvoline and they've apparently enlisted the practice of allowing you to stay with your car for the entire time they change your oil. Now, because you are also subjected to somewhat of an interactive experience, this new format may not be for everyone but it certainly was pretty fun for me. It's hard to hate on a Business when, clearly, they are trying to improve their customer service. There were no less than 10 fellas in the bays and each time a customer pulled away, ALL OF THEM bid them a very boisterous and heartfelt adieu. (They actually said "goodbye" but don't hate on me for trying to be poetic, I'm feeling good here). If you're gonna have to do the whole oil changing thang at all...THIS experience definitely has it's advantages. read more

Cashiers were rude. Barely looked up from their phones to acknowledge me. This location no longer has a FULL service car wash which seems to be a term the cashiers didn't understand that I was looking for. They sent me to another self-service car wash... at least the attendant at the 2nd location was able to point me in the right direction. read more

They steal your money. Don't use Apple Pay here. I tried to dispute charges that were made inside. I tapped twice and there was an error on their end. They didn't want to fix it!. I tapped twice for 24.93 And then paid cash because they were having technical issues. I spoke to the manager multiple times and everytime it was just excuses. *Hit Or Miss* This Terrible's location has been my go to for sometime due to convenience. The car wash attendants are always polite; however the the overall service is a gamble. It's Vegas right! A few water spots here and there whatevs but Tuesday was the second time they've neglected my center console. I over looked it initially & returned today to avail the complimentary follow up car wash within 5 days package. The console was attempted but definitely below satisfactory for a $31 car wash. This Terrible's is pretty close to my house. I stop there for beer on my way home. Used the car wash one time, I felt I payed way too much, for a horrible car wash. Never pumped gas there, because it's higher in price than most gas stations in my area. The convenience store has a good selection of products, at a decent price. The beer cavern is great, because it's the coldest beer, in miles. It's not the easiest parking lot to get in and out of. It's usually crowded, and parking spots are hard to find. The employees are pretty much what you can expect from Minimum Wage Employees. I will still go there, as long as the price is right. read more

It looked nice on the outside and the inside was mediocrely cleaned.. so I tipped the guy 5$ and drove off.. I drive home.. I go to get out of my car and notice I have NO DOOR LATCH to open my door! I look around in my car and the broken door latch is put inside the cup holder.. Had I not been running late for dinner I would have turned back and flipped out! I came here on a whim when I had an hour to kill. My daughter was with me and it was a Saturday morning. We drove my lil' car in and asked for an oil change. They directed us to a waiting room where there was FREE DONUTS and coffee! We were way excited about this. So... we sat in the waiting room and watched their TV screens that had advertising for their company running on a loop. The chairs were comfy and the waiting room felt more like a doctor's office than an auto maintenance shop. I believe there's Wi-Fi available too. With the oil change they gave me a free car wash of a $20 value. So after the oil was changed we drove around to the other side of the building and dropped of my car for a wash. There was an entirely different waiting area there that was attached to their convenience store. I managed to pick up a few little snacks while I waited. We watched the car get washed through the big windows and then watched an attendant hand dry the car with a lot of detail. I live about 20 minutes away from this place. This is not my local joint. But after that experience, I'd drive the 20 minutes to give my business to this place. read more

I went to fill up my tank and get my car washed today on my lunch break - 45 minutes should be plenty of time, right? I arrived at 145pm, got gas and attempted to purchase the car wash at the pump. The buttons didn't work. So I walked inside the store, explained what happened, and the clerk said I needed to wait until my gas completed pumping before she could help me. I walked back out to my car, completed my gas purchase and walked back inside where I purchased the car wash. When I pulled around to the car wash, the guy took my receipt and said to wait inside. It was air conditioned so I took a seat and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, at 3pm (now an hour and 15 minutes since I pulled into the gas station) I walked outside to see what was going on. Surely it shouldn't take an hour for a car wash? The young man working on my car said he had only gotten the car 10 minutes prior. Which means it sat there for at least 45 minutes WITH NOTHING BEING DONE. He explained that they were "short staffed" because the staff were quitting due to the warm weather and that my car had, indeed, been sitting there for "awhile". Um, not my problem. Who knows how much longer I would have waited had I not gone out to check on things. Needless to say, I'm was quite late returning to work so I had to take my car unfinished. $24 wasted. And no air freshener. The LEAST they could have done is explained the wait time up front or offered discounts due to longer than usual wait times. Good thing they are not the only show in town. If you're contemplating getting your car washed in the Las Vegas area, do not patronize Terrible Herbst located at Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard (3650 W. Sahara Ave.) Las Vegas. I saw the attendant steal money and valuables from my car. He wasn't even smart enough to figure out how to release the emergency brake when driving my car from the vacuum area to the car wash. I was told by Mike Clayton, the Vice President of Terrible Car Wash Division, that he would fully reimburse me. He compensated for only a fraction of a single car wash ($6.99) and nothing whatsoever for the money and expensive pens stolen. The people working at this car wash are inattentive and rude. It even appears that some of the employees don't have operating licenses. Whatever you do, never go to the bathroom, as they are so filthy that the health department should close this place down for their condition. read more

Stopped by here for an oil change and car wash. The technicians in the lube department were super slow! When I arrived there were 2 cars already in the 3 garage bays so I parked behind one of the bays. I then waited nearly an hour and half for my oil change to be completed! It was just a standard $37.95 oil change, top off fluids and check battery and tires...nothing special. Not sure why it took so long. Other customers seemed to be frustrated as well. Once my car was done and ready to go, I drove over to the car wash area since full service oil changes here come with a free car wash. The car wash took a while too, but mainly because of the level of detail shown by the employees that were drying and wiping down my car, so that was a good thing. Overall, I would've liked not to spend 2+ hrs of my day here since I have better things to do. I'm just glad I was able to get my oil changed and car washed on the same visit. I've used their car wash service, it was pretty fast and thorough. Their clerks behind the counter has always been friendly. The store is in decent condition, a bit run down. I asked them to remove any crumbs or foul odor from rental car. Also asked for them to remove rocks from truck bed. All was promised in my $22 wash. $4 tip to the person who did all the extra work that I didn't ask for since the car is a rental. I get into my car and the cup holder is still all dusty and the truck bed still full of rocks. The man that I spoke to didn't speak English and thought I asked to him to remove the water when I was asking for rock removal for a second time. This was an okay car wash due to it's location. When you arrive, you simply wait on an attendant to greet you and help you select a service. Once your service is selected the team begins to clean your car (which I might add not with care), but in the end it's cleaned. You pay for your service outside with the attendant and then wait inside for a representative to call you once your car is finished. The typical wait time is about 20 minutes from start to finish. When I arrived at my car, I did not notice any water spots or mark, but what I did notice was the lack of air freshener provided in my truck. I mean really, who puts one air freshener inside a truck?! Any who, my truck was clean and it did not have any marks on it, so it was a nice clean. read more

I had to put alot of thought into this so I will be gentle. To start with this place has huge potential. They have an automatic car wash & full detail, a service station & smog plus like 20 gas pumps and a lounge inside for people waiting on their car to be ready. They also have a walk-in beer cooler, lots of deli foods and about 5-6 video poker machines. The problem here is, this place is always BUSY yet they never staff more than 1 clerk and if there are 2 you never see them or they are always helping #1. The lines are ridiculous and then Terrible's ID policy is beyond ridiculous. I worked in this shopping center for 3 years and regularly purchased cigarettes here, then they suddenly began requiring ID even of grey haired people. Even knowing my by First name & seeing my ID on numerous occasssions they would refuse to sell them to me without ID and be completely smug & obnoxious about. I have been going to this location for TEN YEARS!!! I don't even live on this side of town anymore, but I still take my truck here for oil changes and smog checks. When I'm headed out on a long road trip, I stop by here first to have my tires and fluid levels checked (they do it for free, if you're a customer...but I always kick 'em a few bucks). The guys are great -- friendly, fast and don't try to sell you needless shit. Last time I was there, they told me my rear differential was leaking. They sent me to the Terrible's repair garage over on Flamingo & Arville, but called ahead to make sure they'd be able to see me (the repairs ended up being too much for that garage to handle, but they in turn referred me to an excellent shop). Just great service, all around. In the spring/summer, I come wearing my bikini so I can work on my tan while they work on my truck. Maybe this is why they're so quick with the dipstick! Either way, this shop is run by great guys and I highly recommend it. The only complaint is....they never have anything to read in the waiting room. So, bring your own magazines.......and bring your bikini!!! read more

Went to this place for a quick oil change. Did oil change quickly. Got into my car to smell strong smell of gasoline. And a stain of gasoline in the driver seat that I sat in. All they could do for me is have some kid come over with the squirt bottle. And move the gasoline around to spread it around more of the seat and tell me that they were sorry sorry does not help my breathing or my asthma or my sinuses. I normally do this at the pump but since I was paying cash, had to go inside. There's an idiot here who says "we don't have that system yet" when I asked when to enter my Vons card for my discount. I used to come here all the time to get my oil changed until recently. Not sure if they hire people who have enough knowledge in basic oil changes but last time I had my oil changed the bolt that holds the oil pan was lose causing my oil to leak a lot. And my dip stick was not placed back in its place and was just dangling by my radiator. Had I not had it looked at by a family member who worked on cars I would probably had so much to spend on repairs. And the oil leak was from a bolt that wasn't tightened. Just an advice... before you drive off make sure that you check if your oil dip stick is in its place. I'm no mechanic by any means so I rely on companies like this to do the basic maintenance and now I feel so weary of having my oil changed by a company who employs people who may not have enough experience or knowledge in auto maintenance... so sad.... read more
