So if you want a bathroom, food, or gas stop, Susanville is it. I find it odd that gas prices in Susanville are pretty much the same no matter where you stop. And if there's not a mini-market factor, most anyplace will do. So this time around, Spirit was our stop. As expected, our fill up was fast, and access off and on was easy. Onwards to Ashland and looking forward to the next fill up at Patriot coming back.

We picked this station because I was enamored with the classic Gulf logo, and the station we first looked at down the street only offered porta potties. The per gallon price was also 10 cents more, but I know what Gayle expects in terms of restrooms. Otherwise the fill-up and inside snack experience was adequate and a welcome short travel break.
