At least I think I saw it. Area 51 and all. But for sure I tasted an excellent butter chicken and roti bread. We saw a sign on Hwy 95 about 284 miles north and set our sights on a mid afternoon meal. A long wait but oh so worth it. Splitting the butter chicken and roti was just right. Both were sizable portions. The butter chicken had all the spices that create the levels of flavor famous in Indian cooking. You can choose your spice level too. Rice of course and house made yogurt. They offer a complete menu of Indian favorites. This restaurant is truly inside a gas station so we got a drink from the cooler and paid separately. This review centers on the restaurant but the quick shop was clean and well stocked. So whether traveling from Las Vegas north or south on 95 plan your trip around a stop at a gas station and enjoy the fabulous food at Punjabi Dhaba.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bright, safe feeling, well stocked store with lots of grab and go salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, coffee, lots of drink options, and sit-down for Subway and Godfather pizza. The only drawback was the soda fountain by Subway and Godfather only had sodas, no unsweet ice tea or sweetened ice tea. The second time we came, I bought bottles of unsweet tea in the store for our sandwiches. There are shower facilities with a TV screen with availability status. We stopped in the morning and afternoon, and there were mostly construction workers and other men. Everyone was well mannered. Bathrooms were clean for both times we stopped. I liked that the checkout staff would wish you "Safe travels!" Even though they say it to everyone, it was done with warmth and it was nice to have those good wishes when you are driving for hours.
