Diesel set up is awful. Very narrow so it's hard to park at a pump for anyone towing anything.

Chevron in the town of Gonzalez is located right off the 101 freeway so you can exit fill up and get back on to continue your trip. They have enough gas pumps so you drive up to one and not have to wait. Paying with a card is easy and quick. They have a small convenance store for snacks and drinks. Prices are a bit higher than usual but i guess they are charging for convenience. Price per gallon is over $6.50 compared to $5.50 in my local area. read more

This Chevron is your typical gas station. To be fair I did not go into the convenience store. It is super convenient right on and off of US 101 with mutiple pumps and the washer fluid and squeegees were in good order. Gas prices were on the higher side but not abnormally so. BATHROOM IS GROSS. No soap, no paper towels, dirty. Plus the urinal had a trash bag covering it for some reason (so there was urine on the toilet seat). Employee didn't seem concerned when I reported the condition. Avoid. read more

When I travel, I purposely go to Chevron, and only Chevron for my stops. My reasons for trusting Chevron are cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of their stores. Also, I believe that their gasoline is good for my car. As a general rule of my life, because if you don't go certain places, you don't see certain things: I do not go to convenience store. but when I travel, I do not mind purchasing things from their convenience, stores and gas stations. But... This place is the most disgusting Chevron I have ever been to. I've stopped there twice, and both times have been utterly horrified at the bathroom. Today, I could not even feel comfortable getting back in my car after my shoes had walked on that disgusting, disgusting, disgusting floor of that stinky bathroom. Truly horrifying, and really sad that they don't keep up with the standards that I thought Chevron had. I noticed that they didn't even have towels at the window washing stations on the islands. The whole experience was horrifying. Not to mention it was the most expensive gas. I've seen anywhere in a long time. And I drive a lot. I don't use outhouses either, but was a few weeks ago at a swap meet and had a bathroom emergency. I did on that day, go into an outhouse. I will tell you right now that that outhouse was far less horrifying than what I saw in this Chevron bathroom. The Chevron bathroom had dirty, wet floor, with Blobs of dirty toilet paper on it. There were dried would appear to be diarrhea feces on the tile wall behind the toilet. And beyond that I don't even know. It was so disgusting. I wish I would've taken a picture because words cannot convey how horrifying it was.how could an plumbed restroom be more grotesque than an outhouse at a swap meet? How???!?! read more

Nice customer service. Shelves are stocked but don't expect this tiny market to have everything you need. That's what the surrounding businesses are for. There are plenty of fast food places right next to it so if you're traveling, it's a great place to stop. I NEED A HYBRID I was hoping gas would be a little cheaper if I drove through Salinas and continued South on 101. Nope. Hit Gonzales when I realized it was about time to stop... much further and it'd be too later. This Chevron was 20 cents more per gallon than the stations I'd just been looking at! Totally my own fault for getting greedy. I should start taking notes on where the cheap gas is, since husband and I do this drive so often to visit each other! We generally stop here for a stretch when traveling from the Bay area. I like the cleanliness, friendly staff and assortment of products. It is generally known that gas prices are going to be higher right next to the freeway, so that never bothers us. If we need a stretch or some snacks or a rest room, this is the place to be. read more

High gas prices and they haven't restocked their energy drinks in 3 weeks. The staff usually seem grumpy. If they were more on top of restocking I would give 4 stars. read more
