I'm from out of town and was here for work. By happenstance I wandered in for other Stuff and noticed they served fresh fried chicken. I ordered a four piece meal and it was awesome. Definitely better than KFC. It wasn't overly seasoned, or over breaded, it was absolutely perfect. I absolutely will come back when I'm back in town. Bravo!

I have used it in the past and it was a mission to get through the actual car cash since it wasn't registering the cash tendered the first time. I went inside and had that resolved. Months later I have pumping gas and though I'd give it another try. Oh was I wrong. I paid for my wash at gas checkout and was given a code to enter at the car wash. Come to find out it was an invalid code. There was two cars behind me so I tried using the help button on the machine. It didn't work. Ok, I dialed the number on the receipt, but wait it was an incorrect number. I googled the location, but wait that number was disconnected. Now I have to leave my spot and go inside. I go inside to inform them of my problem and the manager walks out saying it should be working. I called in my order and stopped to pick it up. There were quite a bit of people already in the store ordering food. I overheard one lady telling someone how great the food was and asking what they'd ordered. I ordered the chilaquiles but they forgot to ask me how I wanted my eggs cooked so after I told them I had to wait about 8 minutes for my food. I went with the red salsa and added carne asada with over easy eggs. The bowl was amazing! I will definitely stop back in here for some more great food!

July 18, 2026…read more OVERVIEW; Although I'm a huge Love's fan, basically I'm praising the Tulare location over the one near Bakersfield, due to following: PROS: The Tulare parking lot is much bigger as compared to the Bakersfield location. So if you want to park your car, walk your dog, or just rest in the parking lot for awhile, this is where you want to stop. Not as busy as other locations. (Good for the customer, but maybe not so good for the proprietor.) Easy on-off access to the Hwy. 99, Northbound or Southbound. Lots of bathroom stalls. Like all Love's locations, this place is stocked with whatever you need. CONCLUSION: If you're making a run on Hwy. 99 between Sacramento & Bakersfield, and you have the choice between stopping at either Tulare or Bakersfield, take Tulare ...

The downside is the under staffing. GET MORE STAFF. At times they get so busy and they have only 1 person cashiering. Despite that, I've seen the cashiers handle upset customers in a great manner. Also, the parking is horrible when Porterville High School kids get out of school. I don't know why every parent thinks using a store parking lot is the best place to pick up their kids. It's annoying and makes parking difficult. Other than that it's a good store. Cleaner than CVS most of the time.
