I don't live in Carlsbad. But I'm here frequently for work, and shopping and errands. I have a Kia Sorento that I like to use Chevron with Techron in. Everytime I come here, the "bathroom" is out of order.......the parolee clerk behind the counter says the same thing every time.... "sorry the water is out".... I get it.....no one wants to have to clean gas station bathrooms. But here's a little known fact about gas stations and restrooms, your proximity REQUIRES you to have one. So stop lying to your customers. And clean your bathrooms. And open it back up again. Twice in the last week alone, I've gotten the same response. Do Better. read more

Manager has lied to me multiple times. If she doesn't accept IDs without photos (my states reissue of my ID is genuinely stupid I understand) that's fine, but she has never said that. Instead she says that as a 29 year old, my ID scans saying I'm underage. Just be upfront, and allow your customers a next step like bringing a different form of ID in, not lying to their face. read more

Customer service is the worse at this gas station. I'd rather go down the street to the AMPM. I'm amazed that these cashiers can't even say hello. I've met wonderful people at gas stations that never fail to give attention to their customers like the AMPM. This chevron might have a clean store but the service makes me not to want to step foot in it. I've purposely gone every morning for the past couple of weeks and it just doesn't change. If I could give no stars I would. Recently this gas station changed ownership and ever since we have had nothing but problems. On multiple occasions I have caught them charging a penny more for gas per gallon and not giving the correct amount of gas. This doesn't sound like a big deal but you add .01 × 10gl of gas × amount of ppl/day = a lot of money. There is a reason this is illegal and regulated and I will be turning you into the NAAG. Beyond that we still continued to go out of sheer convenience as this is the closest gas station to our house. Not anymore. Unfortunately they have an employee who is VERY nasty and argumentative with customers, I believe her name is Jessica (she has a piercing in her face). Everytime I have been in there and she is working she's arguing with a customer or huffing and puffing around the store like heaven forbid you have to DO YOUR JOB. I have even showed up middle of the day, gas station is slammed and she has the door locked. I have never in my 30 yrs seen a gas station front door looked in the middle of the day. To make matters worse she just stands there glaring at all the customers trying to buy gas! I would be extremely surprised if this was corporate policy as this would be the only gas station in America to have that policy! My suggestion, if you need to hire more people do so. Customers shouldn't have to wait due to your lack of employee's for break time. It is extremely sad that this place has changed into a very negative experience for me. I am a local customer who used to stop in at least once if not twice a day. Now I avoid going in knowing I have to deal with this snotty, rude, attitude driven, millennial. She clearly isn't from around Carlsbad, we don't act like that here. I also can't imagine I am the only individual who has issues with this girl. If I had to guess, this is a common issue with her everywhere she goes. You have been warned. Update: now this employee is harassing me through Yelp. Please if you own this business take action. Gas is pretty much less than other Chev gas stations locally. Kinda trashy plus most clerks need an attitude check. Biggest problem are the prehistoric gas pumps. Not one time I been there all of the pumps have worked. Hardly ever prints receipts always says to go inside. Also when using Cards most the time it won't read it right and says go inside to cashier. How about putting some soap in the window cleaner tub and usable squeegys. read more

The red haired older lady that works the counter is probably one of the rudest women I've come across. The inside of the store is unkept and dirty, its always crowded and the cashiers are rude. I'd rather run out of gas and walk than come to this place. read more

Kris and Carlos where counting money, (or Lotto Tickets). They had a sign on the door which said wait for 10 minutes (break time). I sat outside waiting. Then that Asshole Carlos comes to the door tells me,"We Can't have you hanging around in front of the store. Horrible customer service . Employees are rude and seemingly when the two girls are working in the morning the restroom seems to always be broken without a sign in the restroom door . Stood waiting and knocking ( visible to the cashiers ) for a good 7 min almost wetting my pants . Neither of the girls said a word or informed me of the ( again broken restroom ) they had no ice . No small coffee cups and all coffees were empty ) I got the last bit of coffee . Once I lifted and tool a sip I realized how watery and cold the coffee was .so I decided to go back and ask for a exchange or refund . I was rudely told no returns ( without the slightest sorry bout that ) cashier decided to give my coffee to a less fortunate man standing outside ( sweet and thoughtful ) yet decided to use the sweet gesture to be passive aggressive and communicate through him to me ( I'll give you this bit you gotta let me know if it's watery coffee ) . I've had a horrible experience each morning I've cone here . The afternoons are a bit better when a young man is working . He is friendly and the restroom is not broken . I will no longer waste my time energy and money to be treated rudely . What had happened to customer service . Just sad !!!! read more

Jessica is always informative and courteous! She's always working two registers at once when handling long lines. Great multi tasking! I needed help with one of the gas pumps and she assisted me without question. I appreciate the service she provides when I've had many bad experiences at other stations. This place is fairly new but slowly getting on their feet and I appreciate Jessica's patience whenever I come in with a difficult request. I've noticed rude customers come in and she's always handling the situation with the best attitude. Only downfall of this station is it's small and bad traffic to get to it but convenient for me on my way to work and the service is good! read more

Actually NO STAR BUT IT MADE ME CHOOSE SOMETHING!! This is not a CUSTOMER. FRIENDLY BUSINESS!!! This was the worst customer service ever!!!! I delivery in my car as a job and have stopped here on many occasions for gas, but on one occasion I just needed to put air in my tire real fast while on a delivery and at the time the weather was a little rainy, so I asked if I could have the code or if they could turn it on and the girl Sarah said no, I said really because the weathers real bad and I have a low tire, she said no again! Just rude I have asked the guys there before and they had no problem with it! When I called the manager which I can't remember her name or maybe the manager was Sarah but I don't think so, she said that, that was right. They don't have to give you air! Not very good customer service at all!!! I will not ever go back there again! And just an FYI the chevron on el Camino real across from the mall has a sign free air and water!!! And the shell up from it has never turned me down for air oh and any arco will give you free air too! It's illegal to charge for air!! I regularly fuel up here, but stopped by on my bike today for air. I put in my 75 cents to activate the pump, only to find out the hose tip is broken. With the pump still running, I walked in and let the guy at the counter know about the problem and ask for a refund. He blew it off and told me to let the manager know in the morning. Obviously I could care less about the $.75, his unwillingness to help and total lack of interest prompted me to write this review. I rode further up the street to the 711, where the nice lady turned on the air pump for me, no charge. Again, it's not about the pocket change. Just don't brush off your customers......a little courtesy goes a long way! read more
