Everytime I come here, the "bathroom" is out of order.......the parolee clerk behind the counter says the same thing every time.... "sorry the water is out".... I get it.....no one wants to have to clean gas station bathrooms. But here's a little known fact about gas stations and restrooms, your proximity REQUIRES you to have one. Used to have two sparkling clean bathrooms; now there's only one, the second is "now used for storage". Pumps no longer accept ATM cards, just credit or debit cards. (I'm Old School: 1) credit cards are for emergencies when no other way of paying will do, and 2) Debit cards are bad consumer-unfriendly, as "Consumer Clark" says on his radio program. An ATM card is good enough for Penny's and Macy's, what's wrong with you?) Staff are snotty, bad tempered, frequently tattooed and downright rude. Once I bought a full tank in the AM, and had to use the bathroom several hours later on my way out of town. As I left the clerk sneered sarcastically, "Thank you!" However the first night I came in, they had no decaf brewed. I always found that interesting, at the end of night you would think they would always have decaf on because people tend to stay away from caffeine the later it is in the night. Anyways, they didn't have any brewed but when I asked her about it she was so happy to go and brew me a fresh pot. Second night, same thing I came in around 7, no decaf and when she saw me she ran over and put on a fresh pot of decaf. I so appreciated this more than she knows, great customer service!

There are many pumps here and for some reason they seem like they pump faster than the other locations. You never really caught in any traffic jams at this location. It is well maintained, and very convenient on your way out of San Diego to stop here for gas. They don't have a convenience store at the Costco Gas station so on your way in if you see the 7-Eleven on the right (about a 1/4 mile away) stop there first to get your snacks and on-the-road treats.

All of a sudden I hear 2 grown men screaming "Mam" in a chorus as if they were one unit. I didn't turn because the gas station was full of people and they were screaming from ten feet away. Finally I turned and they screamed at me "could you move" but the car had already driven by. Then they kept loudly coming by my pump and saying "have a nice day" in voices and tones that basically meant anything but. Upsetting my dog. I think this is pretty typical behavior for them. And I would not employ them at any Costco or anywhere they interact with a customer.
