To be honest, I'm surprised the pumps aren't analogue with the spinning wheels and the little spinny flow gauges. On a side note, this is the last surviving location in the Lower Mainland. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is Richmond after all, with the full serve pumps. This place is so old school that prepaid (credit card) gas requires 2 transactions - one for the prepaid amount, and a 2nd separate transaction for the unused amount. The pumps don't automatically refund. Be sure to get that 2nd transaction done before leaving. As of the time of writing, there is a 7c discount on Mondays and Thursdays for Domo club members, which beats out the Superstore discount. I guess the only downside is that there aren't many pumps available. Also the lot is quite small.

Members also enjoy the perk of $0.07 / litre off on Mondays and Thursdays and lastly $0.03 / litre off the rest of the week. The station is equipped with 4 vintage gas pumps (Regular 87 and Premium 91+) no mid grade available. The best thing it's full service so the attendants will pump your gas and even bring the POS machine to you for payment without you even having to exit your vehicle. There is a little convenience store located at the center of the island if you choose to pick up some snacks on the go which are reasonably priced. There's only one Domo gas station in Richmond and with their nearly non- existent advertising costs allows them to offer the cheapest gas in town VS the bigger branded stations Chevron, Petro Canada, Esso, Shell.

For as long as it has been here, they have always kept everything from the grounds outside, to the store front inside clean. Even the washroom, cause you never know when you need to use it, and when you do, you would rather go into one that is sanitary then the nightmares that all of us have seen in some other gas station washrooms. Usually never too busy, with enough pumps to serve everyone who rolls through, and they take Save-On points cards.

The store is nice and new, as I had to buy lotto, and it was a ot day, the a/c was jacked, probably because this store also houses a White Spot Triple O's diner. If you want gas, and a stop to eat some better food than what a regular gas station can give you.. and you are lazy enough to not go anywhere else... one stop shop indeed. I avoid this one unless I really have to (ie good price, or I'm really low on gas) The guy's name is Malik. For example when I pay by cash, he says, "do you need your change?" Then giggles at me??!! When I say, "yes of course" he replies with, "well you have to say so" and laughs as if it's funny?? When Aeroplan partnered with Journie, I tried to scan both cards. He got annoyed and said, "you can only use one!!". When I said that a different Cheveron let me do it, he got angry and said, "try it again then!" Which I did, but it didn't go through. Then he said, "see!? I told you!" He totally gave me the creeps.

Right along Brunette Avenue, in Maillardville out in Coquitlam, a gas station is a gas station, isn't it? Well, sometimes when you get consistent good service from the people who work here, it's a little different. The gas stations out in Coquitlam are full-serve, something that a Vancouverite like me takes getting used to. But the energy and enthusiasm of the staff here, regardless of when it is sunny, or rainy, gets my thumbs up. It's nice when the people who work here, actually try to create conversation, and ask how your day is, and carry on the coversation not with a one-liner.

The old owner was a pillar of the community, and was the milk of human kindness. Fast forward a decade, and you will find the new owner as charming as a scud missile, and the price gouging utterly appalling. They have a monopoly here, and they couldn't give a tinker's fart what you think. When they eventually lose the business when competitors appear, I suppose the penny will drop then...when it's too late. A real pity that they are stupid enough to allow this to happen, because as Marc noted, the station is a real throwback, and there is an unmistakable charm about this old business.
