My daughter just got married at this venue about a month ago. They had several packages to choose from as well as several sights to hold the ceremony and 2 different venues to hold the reception. We chose the Run For The Roses package with the ceremony in the garden and the reception to be held in the Pavilion. Tracey was EXCELLENT from the first meeting! She answered all of our questions, even if we asked the same one 10 times! We reserved the venue in June 2021 for Oct 2022, more than a year in advance. We met with Tracey a few times at the venue before the actual wedding day and had many email and text conversations with her. She wanted to be sure she had every detail down for our daughters wedding and her vision of the day. Everything was great! The evening of the wedding, when it was time to pack up, Tracey and her crew did EVERYTHING! Anytime I got up to help with clean up she'd politely tell me to sit down, and remind me that was their job to do. She even packed up my car! Tracey was just incredible, I can't say enough about her. She was professional, but yet a great friend! I'd highly recommend her! When it came to the venue, the grounds were not what we expected they would be on the wedding day, they have some Air bnb's on sight and one place being remodeled we were told would be finished before the ceremony.It was still in the same unfinished condition it was the first day we went for our initial visit. The fields were cut for parking, but trees were not trimmed back, weeds not pulled, the Pavilion was dirty feeling. It just looked a little unkept. And the stairs leading up to the Bridal Suite are steep! So the Bride's Grandmothers were not able to see/visit with her before the ceremony. We had heard it was out up for sale and then had sold after we had reserved the venue and before the ceremony. So I'm not sure if the change in ownership was a factor in prepping the property for the wedding? read more

I absolutely love this place, Tracey, and Karen. They made my wedding day a dream come true. Yesterday was my wedding day and we've chose this place since February 2017. They are so accommodating. I chose the "All Day Rental" Package. Pros: They listen to you. They know exactly how to work their magic and wave their wand to be your personal fairy grandmother. Tracey was always there if I needed something. Yesterday, I was given the barn for FREE because there was a thunderstorm forecasted on my day. My ceremony started at 3:00pm. Later that night, we had a tornado warning around 5:30pm. Thankfully we had the barn or else who knows what would've happened. I didn't have the barn originally. I had the "All Day Rental" Package where I rented out the entire land except the barn. To be given something free when you are a worrisome, stressed-out bride over the weather was astounding. I know they were able to give me the barn because I had already rented out the entire land, but even then to know that they wanted my day to be as perfect as it can be meant so much to me and my entire family. In the rental package that I had, they give you 12 hours which is MORE than enough time to have everyone ready in the same land. I only needed 10 hours. Because they knew there was going to be horrible weather, they allowed my husband and I to be on the land at 7am in the morning! This was much earlier than the contract had said. Cons: There are none! There's no point to nit pick over little things when they made my day from the beginning! read more

From the start, Tracey was so friendly and so easy to work with. During the six months, no question was too minor for her to respond to and always with reassurance for an obsessive Mother of the Bride. We especially liked the venue price including so many "extras." Cheval Manor has several wedding packages; we went with "Run For The Roses." As an extra plug for Tracey, when thunderstorms were forecast for our wedding day, she told us she endeavors to have every ceremony outside, and while she went over what we would do it if rained, she was so optimistic we couldn't help but be, too. In fact, it rained all around us!! Whatever anti-rain dance Tracey performs, she needs to patent it. The venue sells itself; it is stunning, especially the meadow with overhanging willows in front of the pond. Tracey worked with us to design and decorate an arch (included in the venue price), and definitely go for the shepherds' hooks with fresh flowers for the center aisle. If your wedding party is small, the grapevine-covered pathway leading to a rotunda makes a gorgeous setting. The Cabana House was a little tight for 8 bridesmaids trying to get ready, but we made it work. The Hobbit House is absolutely adorable, but again, if you have a large contingent of groomsmen, they will not all be able to get ready in there. The Secret Garden has a fire pit which Tracey will tend, and she also has a S'mores station for rent. The pavilion was plenty large for our wedding party of 90. Even if the ceremony must be moved indoors, it is set up for that eventuality and is quite pretty. Plenty of farm-based accessories abound. Laura provides, for an additional fee, linens, gorgeous mismatched china, and rustic centerpieces. I was an out of town Mother of the Bride, so paying Laura $15/table was quite reasonable as I didn't want to scour thrift stores or other stores for vases, lanterns, and the like. Her husband is an excellent keyboardist; we used him for the ceremony and for the cocktail hour. Tracey stayed visible for the entire day (8am-10pm); the fee included her day-of planning services. She continually checked in with me to see if we needed anything. She orchestrated when we needed to do what, but she never assumed; she always asked us if "x" or "y" was ok. If it's not clear by now, I cannot recommend Cheval Manor more highly. We wish her continued success. read more

The GOOD: Beautiful venue- attended for my niece's wedding. open until 10 pm. The BAD: At 10:06 the owner literally yelled (and I do mean YELLED) at the DJ in front of several guests that one more song was not allowed. Most guests had left at this point and only close friends and family were left, and many of us were already cleaning up. Earlier, The venue's bartender told mother-of-bride that she "didn't do that" when asked to open champagne bottles for wedding toast- so we quickly had to get volunteers to assist us. The bartender then LEFT at 9:20 without any "re-organizing" and boxing of the many bottles of wine left. I should add the bar was free and she therefore made A LOT of tips. So at 10:30, after loading up 4 vehicles and getting ready for the hour drive home, the owner once again YELLS at the mother- of - the -bride (who financed all of the event and at this point was exhausted) like she was a child, in front of family, friends, and unfortunately potential clients! Cool and nice venue. Owner is very unprofessional and plays victim. I was the production company of an event and usually like to setup ahead of time. i got the call that i could setup in advanced so we went and arrived at 4 pm. Called the owner of the venue and she absolutely freaked out. She had a very unprofessional attitude and just kept being short and rude to us so we just hang up. She calls the clientele and demands an apology for us "being rude" over the phone. We will most definitely not add this to our book of recommended venues. read more

Having been in the service industry for many years, I recognize good and bad service. In this instance, the venue was very beautiful. And that's about where it ended! I over heard the Karen(Owner) talking to the Bride's Mom.... Let me take that back. YELLING! Yes, Yelling. It was a few minutes past 10 pm. I heard her yelling at a lady who had just laid out hundreds if not thousands of dollars for her daughters wedding. She said the contract said until 10 pm. Granted I wasn't privy to the contract negotiations, but as a Business owner, yelling at your client while guests where still there and berating her as if she was 10 years old is SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Not to mention the bartender left her station before 10 pm too. If the Owner was so intend on having everything cleaned up by 10 pm, then why not tell the Bride's mom, during the negotiations.... I noticed you have the sparkler send off at 9:45, why not push that to 9:30, so you have time to clean up. The venue is only rented till 10 pm. Karen also told the Mom, that I if you had a business I bet your employees don't like you! Not to mention I heard hey say to the Mom, I knew you would be trouble from the start. WOW! As it turns out, everyone chipped in and helped MOM clean and go! I think we finished by 10:15 pm. That being said, I once learned form the owner of a restaurant say...... "Never argue with the customer, you just might win" I hope Karen is Happy, she won..... The fact that there have could have been potential customers there is her loss. The venue was very beautiful, but, there could be improvements. For instance, the fact that you have to park in a field is nice, plenty of room for cars, but what about candles or lights that lights a path to the area when it's dark outside. Granted there are 3 sides to every story, however, these are the facts as my ears heard, my eyes witnessed and Jaw Dropped in DIS BE LEIF! read more
