What was delivered was the basic arrangement, with 12 blooms, and not even well arranged. It looks like twelve tulips from the flower distributor, thrown into a vase. They do charge a delivery fee of $15 and an 'online convenience fee' of $3.99 (I feel this is absurd. I work in retail, small business located in Hawaii and we never charge extra fees for online). At any rate, I paid the extra fees and placed my order. When my friend received her bouquet, she sent me a photo. It was gorgeous and she said it smelled amazing. There was a good mix of open flowers and some getting ready to bloom. Did I like the extra fees? Nope. But, seeing the beautiful bouquet and being able to surprise my friend made the fees sting a bit less.

I emailed Anthesis around 6 pm and got a reply in a matter of minutes! Talk about great customer service! The lady was super sweet, answered all my questions and took care of all my requests. I asked of she could send me a photo of the completed boquet before it was delivered to my cousin, let me tell you when I saw the photo I gasped! It was beautiful!!! We pulled our carts to the front ourselves and asked the checkout shack staff for help. The clueless blonde said she didn't know what was going on either and did not offer help. We sat there in the sun until Brooke sauntered back, we got a couple more things and checked out for $2,600+. We got a $0.20 rebate through their Rewards program. Yes, a twenty cents for $2,600+ purchase. They wouldn't even give us free delivery, so that was an extra $200. Fast forward to $200 delivery, which amounted to wind-shorn plants in the back of a pickup truck. The trunks of two $300 trees were bouncing off the tailgate where they had fallen over. One tree was near death, with the entire top covered in crunchy dead leaves, browned branches and leaves severly eaten by insects. We refused the one tree and returned to Barn and Blossom to pick out a different tree, until we were told we had to pay another $200 delivery fee. NO, WE WON'T PAY FOR THE DELIVERY TO REPLACE THE NEARLY DEAD TREE YOU TRIED TO DUMP ON US. After, $2,800+, I would have expected a basic level of courtesy the first time we were there, at least the second time, but no. There is zero service and if I could give negative stars, I would. We have alot more yard to landscape and it won't be through Barn and Blossom. The response from Barn and Blossom's owner was, "We are glad you won't be coming back as you are not welcome." It was recommended to us that we go to Greenacres Nursery and in early spring. We did, selected a tree and they in a timely manner came out and planted it in our front yard. We babied the tree watering it regularly and despite our care, it went dormant very early and parts seem to die. A Greenacres representative came out, looked at the tree and true to their word, assisted us the following week to find a replacement at their nursery in Otis Orchards. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is interested in dealing with an organization that stands by their products and stands by their word.
