I called ahead and was told the business operates on a walk-in basis between 8am-5pm. Based on that information, I arrived at 12:15 PM, only to be told that I would need to return after 2:00 PM because the technician was leaving for lunch. My issue isn't that employees take lunch breaks... that's completely reasonable. The issue is that customers are told to walk in, only to discover that no service is available for nearly two hours after they arrive. If the business only has one technician available during certain hours, customers should be informed of that when they call, or appointments should be offered to avoid unnecessary trips and wasted time. Overall, the experience was frustrating because the expectations set over the phone did not match the reality when I arrived. read more

$100 waste of time. Went to this location for a routine x-ray. it took nearly two hours even though I got there when they first opened For the day. Finally got the images and took them to my doctor's appointment. However, the directions were not followed by Chesterfield Imaging on the order, so I had to have the x-rays repeated at my doctor's office the day of my ortho appointment. As I sat waiting and waiting for my x-rays to be done, the front desk staff was also informing people who came in for their MRI appointments that the MRI machine was not working. So instead of notifying these patients in advance, they were forced to drive through ice and snow for an appointment the Imaging staff could have canceled over the phone. Don't waste your time and money with this poor excuse for an imaging center. read more

I had two x-rays done on May 7, 2026. I have followed up twice by phone and my doctor has faxed asking for the results. Today is May 22 and they still have not been read by a radiologist. Unbelievable! The only reason it has one star is because it doesn't let me give none. read more

Have I mentioned how much I hate this place? Swore I'd never come back here, but came here for X-ray, as it was convenient. I left my insurance card at home. When I returned, the check-in lady said that she had given my order back to me before I left. For clarification, I never HAD the orders, as my doctor faxed them over directly. When I said she was mistaken, she INSISTED that I had the orders, getting louder every time so the entire waiting area could hear. She said she gave me the paperwork and I put it in my purse before I left. I offered for her to go thru my purse, she just insisted that I had the paperwork. Even after she clearly realized she was wrong, no apology. There is NO excuse for being treated with such total disrespect. Avoid this place if you have ANY other option!! Debra the ultrasound tech is extremely unprofessional. I've contacted the Director of imaging to file a complaint and I will escalate it as far as it needs to be for this to be taken seriously. During an ultrasound of a sensitive male area, she yelled at the patient repeatedly while pushing the ultrasound wand so hard it was causing true pain. He told me he felt completely violated after. If it's possible to go elsewhere you should. Male ultrasounds are part of the job and if she can't preform them professionally and with care she shouldn't be practicing. The manager was very helpful in getting me the contact info of the director so I'll update if it seems like he is taking this seriously. read more

First impression was not that good. Unfriendly staff for sure. Even though I filled out a lot of information online, I was handed 4 pages of papers to fill out, again. I was told that this will happen at each visit. I had two more forms to fill out, (it's like writing a book,) and I was called in for my test. The lady doing the test went down each question unanswered with me and that went a lot faster. The bone density test didn't last as long as others I have had in the past , but guessing it was done well. Staff in that room were not friendly. Mamo . next, rushed and again, unfriendly. I've been getting my mammograms here for many years and been very happy with the professionalism. However I've been 3 times and received wrong information about when to get a walk in x-ray. Today I was told they couldn't accept the doctor's order for an x-ray ( after I had filled out paperwork and waited) because I had written on it. The Doctor had written on it information to clarify and corrected my birth date. Now I will need to go a 4th time. I did not receive kindness at all. VERY disappointed. read more

AVOID! An AWFUL experience. I wish this was as simple as not getting calm music playing during the MRI - like other places - but this place was like I had a Groupon for the lowest quality place. I was told to change into a flimsy hospital robe that opened to the front - that has a tie at the neck and the hip - the kind that never covers you. Then the nurse told me to sit in this robe in a waiting room with men and women sitting wearing street clothes! I told them that was outrageous to have me sit in a public waiting room in a robe that would not clasp - as if I was putting them out, they said I could sit in the changing room til they were ready. Then of course a minute later, since all the lockers were in the changing room, they told me I had to move to the general waiting room anyway as they had no separated male/female waiting areas. Once in the MRI room, the tech told me to put in ear plugs THEN thought it a good time to give me all the instructions though I could not hear a word she was saying, obviously. She gave me no indication the process would take 5 minutes or an hour laying still with enormously loud banging noises - so the whole process was extremely chaotic and upsetting. When done, the tech pointed me to the changing room - when I went in, there was a naked man changing - he had not locked the door. Perfect way to end a TERRIBLE experience. I can only hope their images are better than the process being there. DEFINITELY not ever going back there. read more

I really like Chesterfield Imaging for MRIs. They are always kind and helpful, and the MRIs have been professionally and efficiently done. I get there 30 minutes before my test, and my registration is handled quickly. I am typically called for the procedure shortly after my registration is complete. My results have always been available within 24 hours, although they usually say one or two days. When I needed to come back to get a disk for my doctor, they had one ready in 20 minutes. I've been going there for several years, and have already had good experiences. I've only had MRIs, but everything was great! I definitely recommend them. read more

When I re-rescheduled I came five minutes before my time because my paperwork was going to be held onto. They refused to see me and told me that they were booked up. I came before my scheduled time! An absolutely HORRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT COME HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A MOM WITH KIDS. Go to Westchester Outpatient Imaging instead, they are happy to help moms. This place REFUSED to do a quick and simple xray on my toddler because I had my (very mature) older child with me. I have no other choice but to have my 2 kids with me, and my 8 year old had a book with her to read. She would have been absolutely fine to sit in a chair in the waiting room for the 2 minutes the xray would take, OR come back there with me. Plenty of places she could "wait" or stand in the back that would not put her in the line of the xray. It's absolutely the most absurd thing to even have to say.... I spoke with the manager and she still refused because of their "policy". When I called the day before to ask about services, no policy was told to me, nor was it on the website. So I had absolutely no idea this was going to be the case. I wasted my entire morning on driving there and back and wasn't even given medical care. I will NEVER go here and will never refer patients to this place. They are horrible to mothers and children and POOR MEDICAL CARE IS THE RESULT. read more

My daughter was scheduled for an MRI on the night before Thanksgiving. We received a call a few hours before the appointment informing us that the machine "broke down" - fine, no problem. They rescheduled us a week later for 7am. When we arrived at 6:50 am, it was 27 degrees out. The doors were locked and there were two employees at the desk. Cary and Jessica both acknowledged my daughter and I shivering at the door. They held up one finger - the universal sign of "we'll be right with you" and then proceeded to leave us in the cold. We were told our appointment was at 7am. So we arrived on time (or so we thought). I knocked on the outside door, as both women disappeared from sight. Cary appeared again and yelled through the door (clearly irritated), "we will be right with you". When Cary finally came to the door she snapped at us, "We don't open until 7". (It was 7:02 btw) Then she turned around without another word and walked inside. I was shocked at how rude she was. Seriously, a bit of customer service goes a long way. On a positive note....the MRI technician was kind and helpful. (The second star was for her). read more

Went to Chesterfield imaging today for a diagnostic mammogram. It took 30 min to get registered and called back. Once I got called back the nurse was not nice at all. Stated I was suppose to be bringing the films of my last mammogram. Which I was not told that when I scheduled the appt. SO I was turned away and told to r/s my appt- after they took my 100.00 copay. They very well could of done the mammogram and waited for the films to come in to compare. Instead of making the patient waste more time and make another appointment to come back. Will not bill you for copays, after paying at doctors office and prescriptions we were low on funds and they refused treatment because we didn't have $60 copayment for the x-ray. They discriminate against poor people. Would not recommend this facility to anyone. We left this facility and went to VCU at stony point and got the X-ray, they had no problem billing us for the copayment. read more

Worst experience I've ever had, either medically or with a customer service interaction. TL;DR: My experience was that there was one incredibly rude person there who is seemingly unconcerned about patient health and treats customers like a liability. Had to have an ultrasound on my right side. I visited in person the day before my appointment; I got it confused with another doc appt and the front desk told me to come back the next day at 9am. Cool, my bad. No big deal, I'll see you at 9am. The next day, I show up a couple of minutes early, sign in, am seated, and wait about 15 minutes. It's almost 9:15am, and who I presume was some kind of office manager walks out and calls my name. I go to registration and without even greeting me she abruptly says "We're not doing anything today. Your appointment is cancelled, you showed up too late." I responded, "My appointment was scheduled for 9am for an ultrasound?" She then said, "You were supposed to be here at 8:30am for a 9am appointment. It's too late, there's nothing I can do, your appointment is cancelled." I'm dumbfounded...there's very little prep to do for an ultrasound, but more importantly if I was supposed to be here 30 minutes early (for what?) why didn't anyone tell me, because the means the appointment is actually at 8:30am. There's nothing in the paperwork that indicates I needed to be 30 minutes early either. She responded by pointing at someone's name on the paper and saying, "You see this girl right here? See her name? She DEFINITELY told you to be here 30 minutes early; I'm sorry you couldn't understand that." Well, turns out I still have the voicemail on my phone, and surprise...no one said anything about 30 minutes early. Nor did they when I stopped by a day earlier. But she inferred that I was lying to her about it, because whoever's name was on that paper is infallible and DEFINITELY told me. And I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "I couldn't understand it?" My current understanding of appointments is that you show up at the scheduled time unless there is some communication that you should be there earlier. In which case, just re-schedule the appointment for the actual time instead of your "phantom" appointment times. OR have a printed policy that informs patients what the expectation is. She let me know that if I could see to it that I showed up 30 minutes early for the next one, then she may be able to get me an appointment same day at 3pm (after declaring several times that they were so busy they couldn't see me at my 9am appointment yet were somehow free that very same day...). She had been so incredibly rude and even insulting at that point I decided I would prefer not to do business anywhere she was running anything. I responded that I would call back to schedule if I couldn't find anywhere else to do the ultrasound. The only way(s) I would go back is if she were no longer there or if no other imaging lab in the area could do my ultrasound...which is...unlikely. read more

Wait times, at least on this day, are way too long. I arrived at 9:15 having been told to arrive at 9:30 for a 10am appointment. At 10:15, I was still waiting to be called. I noticed that others around me were breathing deeply and checking their watches- like they were experiencing the same frustration. So, I went to the front desk to ask how far behind schedule the technicians were running. I mentioned that I've been waiting for an hour. The receptionist told me that several different "modalities" were seeing patients. So, I basically, should just wait my turn. I then asked the question again in a different way, "are the technicians running on time?" Silence, then a curt "yes." I went back to my seat and resumed watching HGTV, because this is what I need to be doing during my work day. At 10:20, I was finally called and told that my ultrasound chart was put into the CT scan folder, and that my very sweet technician, Angel, had not been told of my arrival until just then. I mentioned to Angel that I had been waiting over over an hour. She smiled as if embarrassed and apologized sincerely. My pictures were taken in less than 20 minutes. Angel's sweet demeanor and kind bedside manner took most of the edge off my fury. The facility is nice, but if given the opportunity I might schedule elsewhere - at least until the un-user friendly receptionists can lose their nicety attitudes and the front desk can pay more attention to detail. Cheers to an appointment that lasted an hour and a half but should have lasted 20-30 minutes. read more

I had to have a MRI on my hips and back due to a fall. I have PTSD. The person doing the test had NO compassion. NONE. It scared me because I was on the edge of a panic attack the entire time. I was in so much pain I was crying. It didn't matter to her. I needed help sitting up and she wouldn't help me. She said to grab onto a rail and pull myself up. I will never go back No music was allowed Just those loud clacking noises which made me anxious. I have had about 4 MRI's in my life and always had music. It calms you. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Don't send your loved one there. They don't care try someplace else read more
