This…read moreis a family heirloom, that was actually built by my Grandpa who was a Master Carpenter and cabinet maker. I called the Tic Toc shop and they gave me great instructions on packing the clock for transport back home. When I arrived, I called and requested a service call on the clock because I wanted to get it running and make sure everything was OK. The technician they sent out was Kent. Kent was fantastic and really knew his craft. Unfortunately, another family member had worked on the clock trying to get it running and had improperly reassembled the works and had even put a part in upside down. Kent got the works out of the clock, which was no minor matter since this was custom built and the easy way into the cabinet was lost when my Grandpa passed away. Then gave the clock a thorough going over, added a couple of spacers to make sure everything was aligned. Gave me an accurate picture of the clock works health and potential problems I might have down the line caused my improper lubrication over the last 40+ years. Then gave me a short class on the proper operation of the clock including how to adjust it if it was running a bit slow or fast. After my experience here I'm a customer forever. The clock has been restored to its original condition, and it looks amazing and works perfectly. It took about four months for Victor to complete the restoration, but that's because he is meticulous in his work and wants it done right. Victor hand-delivered the clock to my house and hung it on the wall for me, making sure it was well-secured to ensure proper functioning. He then made sure I understood how to properly adjust the pendulum so as to not damage the clock.
