So on our way up to Bartlett, we stopped in. The lot was jammed, and we had to fight for a spot. A good sign. We managed to find our way into the Market & Butcher shop; which was packed. But we didn't wait long. Everything these days is expensive, but the meat here is reasonably priced. Dare I say cheap ?!?! {You can see the prices in the photos} The selection is vast, and they carry other items besides meat. Wine, meals to go, chips & snacks, soups, bread, beer, etc. Next time, maybe I'll try the restaurant.

I was excited to hear about that because I'm a super fan of seafood and lobster included so of course I went with the $25 portion without the bread because I didn't want the bread. You can tell the difference in my photo of lobster versus other photos mine looks as if it was the bottom of the barrel As for the flavor and taste of the lobster, I was not a fan of it. It was very dry rubbery it seemed to be soaked in some sort of an oil or something that didn't compliment it at all as for the portion size that was good I will not go back for buy one get one lobster roll I don't believe this is fresh lobster this seems frozen not good at all My husband's burger, he enjoyed the chicken portion of the burger, but the actual burger itself was burnt on both sides, making it very tough and dry to eat When the plate arrived, it looked a little un appetizing. It had two slices of pickle crossed over and then the burger. I think the plate that they used could be changed maybe use a wood block as it is a butcher shop as well. All of the staff were dressed appropriately. You could tell that they worked there. Our server waitress was very friendly very attentive to our needs. The place was very clean. Our total bill came to $63 and we left a $20 tip which I didn't find to be unreasonably priced for the amount of food we got but again as for flavoring of the food I was not a fan I won't return

But I decided that I can give my opinion of the management of Mr. Steer. They are the rudest, most unhelpul people that you can imagine. Not every employee but I am specifically talking about the owner/manager, his son behind the meat counter, occasionally the check-out clerk and even sometimes the deli counter person. I live within a mile of the store and have been here many times. I'll admit that they do have great meat and prepared foods. But it's not worth the abuse that you get from the above named employees, I went there a couple of Sundays ago and went into the store at 3:50, ten minutes before closing, to just pick up some steak tips for grilling. I immediately got some hated looks. They had already taken all of the meat out of the meat cases and the manager was replacing the butcher paper that lines the bottom of the case. I wanted to see what they had but all they could say was "What do you want?" I said that I wanted to see the tips they had, and all he said was "Well, what do you want"? I walked out never to return. I don't know how they stay in business when they treat their customers like that!
