My young niece, brother and mother and several friends have seen Sheila quite a few times for…read moreproblems ranging from back / shoulder and hip pain to difficulties with continence and stress. I have had treatments for shoulder and neck pain and can honestly say the effects were instantaneous. My young niece had severe constipation when she was just a few months old and was prescribed suppositories by her GP but understandably, her parents wanted to at least try an alternative before using them. Within 24hrs of Sheila massaging her feet in various spots, the little lass opened her bowels with a vengeance and created havoc in my brothers household!! Sheila's referrals tend to be via word of mouth although she has established a considerable amount of regular customers for treatment. As well as Reflexology, she provides other forms of alternative therapy treatments such as massages, healing etc. She will see people at her own home and in a specially adapted treatment room or will visit and treat people at home. Not sure exactly what the qualifications are but know she undertakes continuous training and refresher courses for the treatments she carries out and is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (voluntary register for UK alternative therapists) What I like about Sheila is that she is not the sort of therapist that will tell you everything can be solved by reflexology and if you are suffering from prolonged or severe symptoms, she will advise you to seek medical attention and emphasises that her treatments compliment conventional medicine. I'm still none the wiser as to how Reflexology actually works or why but can't argue with the fact it works!

This is a random little shop to be in the midst of all the knock-off and cheapo shops in the…read moreprecinct. Dr & Herbs offers alternative and holistic therapies, and specialises in Chinese medicine. Unfortunately, when I went there I had a bit of a bizarre experience. I saw a Chinese woman who may have spoken perfect English but just couldn't understand her. I wanted a detox program that I'd heard was recommended from this place and she ended up taking me into a little room and asking me to point to the places on my body that I thought were fat. Now that's a dangerous question to ask a standard woman, if you don't want to be still listening to her complain and hour later. Still, I was as diplomatic with my body as I could be, and ended up leaving with some sort of health pill. I think I still have them somewhere.... Still, it's a good shop to browse around for the curious, and if you're interested in holistic health it's definitely worth a look in. I may nip back to see if they've invented a miracle diet pill yet - after all, Chinese medicine is likely to be more advanced than our own!

Dr & Herbs located in St. John's Precinct offers you an alternative form of medicine that is…read moretraditional Chinese. Chinese medicine concentrates on the causes of the illness and offers a natural approach as opposed to Western medicine. You'll be given a free consultation by the Chinese Doctor where he/she will gather diagnostic information consisting of four examinations - looking, listening, asking and touching. The most important examination is based upon examining your tongue, its overall colour and the coating will tell the doctor about the condition of your internal organs. The examination or consultation can be taken in a private interview room (if required). The doctor will recommend a course of treatment to assist with the problem according to the principles of Chinese medicine. An appointment is not always necessary as they will try to fit in time for you if possible. Although many claim Chinese medicine sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, one thing that can be assured is that Dr & Herbs will provide a competent level of service to all customers. Each member of staff is fully qualified and has extensive clinical experience in Chinese medicine. If you've suffered from a long term illness and still looking for a solution, Dr & Herbs could be your saviour.

But the results are what have obviously helped me the most, my stiffness in my knees has eased, my guts regular and not painful in any way, my headaches have lessened and the only ones I have had have not been as debilitating as they were, and usually because I have not drunk enough water! I sleep well, have more energy and feel less sluggish during the day, my motivation has improved, thought, clarity and focus seems better at work he is just an amazing healer and so full of passion and information to empower you further to heal yourself, I have made some small life changes which have had massive impacts thanks to you Amazing and wonderful human being who has helped me more than he could ever know. Salaam My father was diagnosed with colon cancer 2020 we…read morewere told through friends about shifa herbs we went for the consultation and shaf explained the treatment and diet step by step my father was really hopeful and said shaf was a very genuine man and was happy with his advice.my father started chemo also but really was adamant to start shafs herbs also. My father was a very active healthy man however with chemo he lost abit of weight. But after 5 round of chemo We was not sure if we should stop the chemo as it gave my father a blood clot in his leg and also fluid in his lungs shaf did advise not to have chemo and I wish we hadn't done the chemo. But my father did think the treatment might work unfortunately the chemo did not shrink the tumour instead spread the cancer. The herbs helped pain and stop the mucus my father felt so well with the herbs. He had his fluid drained twice but the second time the doctors said they couldn't do anything for him I contacted shaf for advice he gave us a change of herbs to help with the fluid after a week we took my father to a private oncologist he told us their was no fluid just a spread of cancer however the NHS doctors had told my father he had so much fluid that was uncontrollable I do think shafs herbs did work to also control the fluid. He was diagnosed in March 2020 and passed away October 2020 However my father sadly passed away at home after 3 weeks on a beautiful day Friday and was buried on Friday after jumaah prayers he passed away so peacefully. I believe Allah SWT knows best he is the best of planner, his death was written this way sometimes you can have the best treatment or You can have the best doctor but it's whatever Allah SWT wills. Personally I think chemo doesn't give a cure to cancer and if it does after a few years you are dealing with a cancer spread. My father was a great humble man A beautiful caring loving soul may Allah SWT grant my father the highest rank of jannatul firdous and may his grave be full of noor and may we meet again inshallah my father always thought of shaf to be a very genuine trustworthy man he gave us good support and hope however everything was in Allah SWT hands and we accept his plans
