A long time favorite for their coffee, I've recently fallen in love with their bagel selection. They make a lox and cream cheese that is great! Always a great alternative to a great breakfast sandwich. They are always, always friendly with a smile and a welcoming attitude. Pair that with quick service, and you've got a winning combo!! Hard to beat great coffee and food that comes out quick. I love the eclectic music that they play, never too loud but just enough that you can have a private conversation in this intimate coffee shop. Their decor is classy and simple, makes it a very cozy space without feeling small. This place consistently has let me down. I thought I reviewed them before but I guess not? Mediocre coffee in a cool little shop I wish so much that this place was better. Employees are super rude, they act like they don't even wanna be there. You basically can only have your coffee order said to them. if you ask them anything besides that, it's like they freeze or they give you a one word, standoffish answer. With so many more coffee shops that are better in Seattle, why waste your time here? First time i visited cherry street, it wasn't this one (lol) but I decided to give it another chance because so many folks highly recommend it. So I came. I saw. I got coffee and breakfast. It's still just okay l, but glad I gave it another shot, so I might give it a whirl if I'm back (or knowing that it's a far walk from Queen Anne and I can just go elsewhere) The ambiance is like on par with a Starbucks. The woman Joe, escalated things and was judgmental, rude & condescending. Her way of handling not knowing what she should know was to go on the attack at the customer! So after wasting my time, my gas and toll fees, (and my money there) it was a disappointment but hey I get to provide you some important data points. Do NOT NOT go here. I am a big fan of Cherry Street Coffee House. It's a bit pricey but the quality of the food and drinks are always consistent. The Jalapeno Bagel is out of this world! Played chauffeur for family members who were running late to the Terra Cotta exhibit at Pacific Science Center. I needed a spot to grab lunch (tarragon chicken salad on olive bread), have an iced mocha, and do some Yelping for at least two hours. Scored a parking spot across the street which pretty much decided my location, Cherry Street Coffee House at First and Clay in Belltown. I spent quite a lot of time here back in 2008-2011, when I worked a few blocks away. This well worn cafe is pretty much the same, except for different baristas and orientation of the tables. Decent variety of beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and soups to select from. Toasted sandwich was a bit messy to eat. Bread edges were also a bit tough and the tarragon chicken salad kept squishing outward. Liked the crisp romaine though. The iced mocha was spot on. Better be, since this indie chain had a previous barista championship winner! Window was open which provided a pleasant summer breeze. Finished my Yelp post for my visit yesterday evening at Bar del Corso while camped here. Spent $18 with tax and tip, so didn't feel bad hanging out. Pro tip: there are power strips available. I used the outlet by the faux fountain. Nice visit to a former well patronized indie cafe, CSCH. Time for this chauffeur to pick up the dudes at an appointed spot over in lower Queen Anne. read more

I have been to their other locations before and just tried this location recently for breakfast. Love the food here and their drinks. Their hot chocolate tastes like chocolate. The breakfast sandwich is made from fresh. The real negative for me is how slow they are, it took around 15 mins for me to get my breakfast sandwich and the place wasn't crowded. After she made the sandwich for the person who ordered before me it took her a couple mins to just start making my sandwich. I'm a regular here. They offer high quality consistent drinks. My go-to order is their oat milk caramello along with their egg and cheese sandwich. I've tried other things on their menu including their lattes, mochas, banana bread and falafel sandwich, all are pretty good. They are very busy especially on weekday mornings and weekends. I've been to one other Cherry Street location closer to 5th, but this one is just more convenient to where I live. I mainly come here for their Chai Latte. It is the perfect drink on a cold day. Their Iced Americanos are also good. They are dog-friendly here and seem to allow dogs inside as I saw at least 3 dogs on my recent visit. They don't have stamp cards here, but it's still a solid coffee place if you're in the area. read more

This coffee place is way overpriced. It's worse than Starbucks, and being that it's NOT Starbucks, which at least has fresh items brought in each day for its charge, how is that even possible?? $5.95 for four triangles of pita bread and a side of hummus? Are you loco? $8.95 for a small-ish sandwich and a bag of chips? Humph. Plus their largest drink size is 16 oz, and their chai tea tastes weird. I've heard the same about their coffee. The service isn't so hot -- they should definitely up the friendly factor. The seats are all hard wood -- no soft benches to be found. Cherry Street, I love you a latte ^__^. I am so glad this shop ended up across the street because so far it's my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. First, Da FOAM is amazing! What is the point of drinking a latte with bubbly sudsy foam that evaporates before you can get the edge of the cup to your lips?! But not this foam, this foam is rich, dense, and ever so satiny. As for the taste, it's perfect. Not burnt, not weak, not bitter, but just right. And the service is amazing. I love the employees here. They are the type that remember you come in every week and they always have fantastic attitudes that help you appreciate being awake when you'd rather still be nestled up in your warm covers. Try the vanilla breve for a treat, it's dreamy. Also, if you buy a punch card it helps you keep your addiction in check, and you also get a free coffee or two out of the deal. This is a cute little coffee shop in Belltown. It's a bit smaller than I expected. Husband and I wanted a nice coffee shop to grab some breakfast and do a little work. This was a nice place but it seems there are only outlets against the walls and tables are suitable for only two people. That means space is a bit limited when you have food and laptops on the tables. They have a really good food menu including breakfast sandwiches. I gave it a couple chances, and it just didn't work for us. The coffee on both days (and during popular hours) managed to be both weak as well as tasting "off", paling in comparison by far to the different Starbucks in the area that I ended up (reluctantly) going to on subsequent days. Bad coffee is one thing, but the coup de grace was the oatmeal, which was easily the worst we've ever had, anywhere. It was somehow recooked, or we could not figure out how the consistency could have been possibly achieved, because it was inedible, and not even hot. The place was inexplicably busy and popular so I didn't bother bringing it back up. Their sanitation habits are questionable, I've noticed dirty utensils being placed with clean once's in between orders. A good chai should have more of a subdued, somewhat foreign/exotic type of taste. This seemed a bit too manufactured. Had some coffee on a previous visit, which i thought was less than ideal. My barometer of coffee is if it is better or worse than Starbucks. Unfortunately it fell on the wrong side. On the bright side, they have decent wi-fi here which is the big thing going for it for me and the decor is appealing. Still, the drinks don't cut it. First time visiting this location for lunch and I was pretty happy to see several good sandwiches choices for vegetarians. I had the house-made veggie burger, about $9, fresh and pretty tasty. It comes with veggies and cheddar, but I opted for mozzarella and am glad I did, melted nicely into the patty.
