Everything "bagel" with essence of "cream cheese" -just gross

I should have trusted the reviews. Coffee is meh. But my bagel was inedible. Everything Bagel toasted with cream cheese was the order. Was an everything dough ball microwaved? -I don't what they did to it but it sure wasn't toasted- with the essence of cream cheese. It was gross. So many better options.

Bacon, Egg & Cheese in an Asiago Cheese Bagel
    Jozzy O.

Their bacon, egg & cheese in an Asiago Cheese bagel breakfast sandwich is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had thus far (savory heaven). The staff is friendly and the music is vibeeee. I enjoyed their Pumpkin Pecan Bread more than their Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (but I'm not one who ever really enjoys the bitterness of chocolate chip anyways). Would love to come back here!

see the large plexiglass? Evidently that & their masks & your shirt over your nose/mouth not enough Even in July 21; they offer no masks

    1. Uninformed Bullying attitude. 2 Disgusting cold boxed Persian food 3. Take a look at the consistent complaints about the service and lack of being informed about items including telling a lactose intolerant person to drink it to see if it really was milk or non-dairy. 4. I would give it a negative number if only possible 5. I wish I had read the reviews before I went here then I might not have been surprised by the horrible service. 6. I walked in positively eager to try this place, sharing with the man taking my order that I had driven from the eastside to try them out & excited about their Persian options and coffees I am a big fan of Persian food - normally is more than rice and veggies. Could Jo, the other worker on site, share more... and was it vegan but NO she was annoyed with these basic inquiries. She could have easily said "let me find out about the ingredients of the Persian rice" Their online website talks about gahmeh (Persian stew) , which typically has beef in it as I mentioned since she seemed so annoyed wirh me. Thought some helpful background could redirect her negative energy, but she seemed exasperated- Clearly background and context didn't matter. If they don't like your questions after you have paid & tipped well, she (Jo) will tell you and the barrista to not make your drinks; they will tell you to ...off It seems my questions and photos (typical see my reviews) were the catalyst for her demanding I leave; then she used the T-shirt over my nose falling down for a nanosecond as her later excuse. The woman Joe, escalated things and was judgmental, rude & condescending. Her way of handling not knowing what she should know was to go on the attack at the customer! So after wasting my time, my gas and toll fees, (and my money there) it was a disappointment but hey I get to provide you some important data points. Do NOT NOT go here. And the neighborhood, can be sketchy. I would avoid this place!! Do yourself a favor go about 4 blocks away on the opposite side of the street - MACRINA bakery Ps there were no customers in the store, they were all outside, until I came back to ask for my receipt for the supposed refund.

I am a big fan of Cherry Street Coffee House. It's a bit pricey but the quality of the food and drinks are always consistent. The Jalapeno Bagel is out of this world! They put a generous amount of cream cheese on the bagel after its been toasted to perfection. To top it off, there has always been a warm smile to greet me everytime I visit! :).

The Chocolate chip banana bread and the Milky Way coffee
    Oliver B.

I showed up because of the chocolate chip banana bread and I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious and they will warm it up for you. I tried the Milky Way coffee. It's very good. It's not too sweet. It's a perfect balance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The manager gave me some suggestions for dinner. I will come back to this place every time I find myself in Seattle.

Chicken Salad sandwich with a 16 oz mocha (7/15/17)
    Marie B.

Played chauffeur for family members who were running late to the Terra Cotta exhibit at Pacific Science Center. I needed a spot to grab lunch (tarragon chicken salad on olive bread), have an iced mocha, and do some Yelping for at least two hours. Scored a parking spot across the street which pretty much decided my location, Cherry Street Coffee House at First and Clay in Belltown. I spent quite a lot of time here back in 2008-2011, when I worked a few blocks away. This well worn cafe is pretty much the same, except for different baristas and orientation of the tables. Decent variety of beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and soups to select from. Toasted sandwich was a bit messy to eat. Bread edges were also a bit tough and the tarragon chicken salad kept squishing outward. Liked the crisp romaine though. The iced mocha was spot on. Better be, since this indie chain had a previous barista championship winner! Window was open which provided a pleasant summer breeze. Finished my Yelp post for my visit yesterday evening at Bar del Corso while camped here. Spent $18 with tax and tip, so didn't feel bad hanging out. Pro tip: there are power strips available. I used the outlet by the faux fountain. Nice visit to a former well patronized indie cafe, CSCH. Time for this chauffeur to pick up the dudes at an appointed spot over in lower Queen Anne.

Hair sticking out of the sandwich
    Gee B.

Found a hair embedded in my breakfast sandwich $8 down the drain. Coffee is alright. I ordered an 8 oz and there was still space in my cup at the top, so they're not filling their cups up which kinda sucks.

Cherry street was a fun local find in Seattle off the beaten track. They had numerous charging ports built into their seats. The coffee was strong (iced cold brew) and the atmosphere was relaxed. Hubby and I spent the afternoon charging our devices and reading.

The diner feels so cozy and homey - old photos of the owner and customers and magnets his guests left are a nice touch. Friendly and attentive service despite the busyness.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged.
