Been on an ice-cream kick recently. Luckily we found Cherry Hill, who just so happened to open for the season almost two months ago. The options are plentiful, including a variety of classic flavors and some very exciting flavor combinations. I narrowed it down to three choices and ultimately went with Coffee Chip Cookie dough. I've always been a fan of coffee flavored ice cream, but this richness and creaminess was unreal. The cookie dough provided a contrast of sweetness and the chocolate chunks delivered much needed texture to round out the experience. So good. Cherry Hill is obviously super popular with the locals. Two lengthy lines as they were super busy but the service was efficient. I'll be returning before heading home! read more

Ice cream here always blows me away. This specific flavor is the reason i keep coming back. They always have a line but can you blame them?! The ice cream tastes fresh, milky, and overall delish. All while you have an amazing grass field to admire, perfect for bringing kids who want to run around. With the best hard ice cream in the Leominster/Lunenburg area, Cherry Hill is at the top of a hill and has a sheltered area with picnic tables and ample parking. Their prices are competitive, the service is great, and their business has space where kids can play and adults can chat. They have great pumpkin ice cream at the end of the summer season. What a disappointment! I love peppermint stick ice cream, so on my first ever visit to Cherry Hill, I saw there was "Pink Peppermint" listed. I asked the server if there were chunks of peppermint sticks in the serving, and she assured me there were, so I ordered a pint. The ice cream was quite grainy and rather "run-of-the-mill" tasting. But there were chunks of peppermint sticks in the serving ... three of them, each about the size of the o in this post. A pint of ice cream, and a small hot fudge sundae set me back $18.00! Best ice cream around! We moved from Cambridge and very seldom went out for ice cream. Once we found so many farms with ice cream around, we decided to try them. Nice little Quonset hut turned into ice cream stand. Out in the middle of farm country in Lunenburg. Huge portions. Kiddie cups were $3.75, but were pretty big. I could barely finish. My chocolate peanut butter cookie dough was oh so good. Rich chocolate flavor. Tons of cookie dough nuggets. I think it was some of the best ice cream I have had all summer. The caramel cashew crunch was a bit too sweet, but wax totally oozing with caramel flavor. Huge parking lot. Lots of picnic tables. Option of table in sun or in shade. When my in-laws moved up to this area and told me about this great local ice cream place I was delighted but skeptical. How could this little barn in the middle of nowhere be that amazing? The first time they took me I was surprised and delighted. Don't get me wrong, I am an ice cream obsessed fat kid at heart, but I do know quality when I taste it. The array of flavors offered is incredibly impressive. I am so in love with the peppermint patty (mint ice cream with a fudge swirl and Junior Mints, my favorite candy if you're taking notes) that I can't NOT get it when I go, but I've often gotten that and another flavor just so I can try other things. Everything that I've tried has been creamy and rich, but not too heavy or sweet. It is cash only, but the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I love love love Cherry Hill. The atmosphere is so cute. They have a lot of flavors and the prices are fair. I always get a kiddie and it is plenty. Purple Cow is my favorite ice cream. It's black raspberry with white and dark chocolate chips and is oh so delicious. I could actually go for some now to be honest.
