Have counted on this location a lot for chinese and sushi for this area and had some mixed experiences. If you want a lunch special it could cost you on the order of 20$. Seafood is better than most location, recently tried the specialty rolls and wouldn't do that again. Ended up here when we were trying to give our family some space to finish wrapping Christmas presents. We were the last folks in before they closed the kitchen at 9:00 on Christmas Eve. Despite the fact that it was clear they were doing a booming business with all of the take out orders lined up and waiting for their people, we were still seated, waited on and served quickly and our water glasses were kept full! I got the Chicken Udon - it was a bit salty for my taste, but my husband LOVED and devoured his Kung Pao chicken. The restaurant is located in Downtown on Main st. It doesn't have it's own parking - we parked in public street parking on railroad street. Anyone who lives in Keene knows that parking can be a pain at certain times of day, but not at 9pm on Christmas eve! This was a good experience overall - I would eat here again. I love sushi and sashimi and the gents at Cherry Garden do it right! As a former West Coaster used to really fresh and vibrant offerings that i thought only existed close to the coast, Cherry G is a great place. They cater nicely to kids too! Highly recommend. read more

What an absolutely bizarre experience ... we are an average family of three. In town for an event. Decided to try this place out because it seemed like a "hidden gem". First and foremost - the food and presentation was AMAZING. Arguably the best I've eaten in my 50+ years eating this type of cuisine. Now; that said; equally - I've never (seriously, never) experienced such horribly rude customer service from a waiter. We left hours ago and are still left wondering "what did we do?" Best guess? He was offended that my wife ordered for me, because it seemed to have gone down hill from there. Full disclaimer, I'm a throat cancer survivor, so talking is a struggle: and eating is worse (waiter was apparently equally offended by my eating). Rude that I didn't know the difference between sushi and sashimi. Never came to check on us after delivering the food. And, literally, threw the check on the table without a word before walking away. Again; food was amazing. Waiter? The worst. Certainly hope the poor man was just having a bad day. read more

Its been awhile since I have been here and I wanted to see how they were doing during this time. We were, at first, the only customers but we were there at almost one in the afternoon. People began to trickle in as we ate. We were greeted and seated, promptly and our waiter was very friendly. We ordered from the lunch menu and they brought out fried wonton pieces with sweet and sour sauce to munch on while we waited. Our lunch came with soup as well as the main course. I ordered the wonton and my husband ordered the hot and sour. I also ordered the generals chicken and he had the orange beef. The chicken was what kept me from a five star review. The flavor was good, but the coating was underdone, which gave it an odd texture. Kind of like half cooked pie crust. My husband's beef, though, was cooked perfectly. We walked inside for an early dinner at around I would say 3:30, where we were promptly seated and brought water with ice. We were given the perfect time to look over our menus. The items we received were the sweet and sour chicken(comes with white rice) and the avocado sushi rolls. The sweet and sour chicken was great, the chicken was still crispy even being coated in sauce and the vegetables included were good. The presentation on both the sushi's taste and were great. I am originally from New York so when it comes to Chinese food I know what's good . I can honestly say that the food here is spot on weather you get sushi or traditional Chinese dishes the presentation and the flavor is amazing. All fresh and they will even make you things that are not on the menu. I drive 45 minutes just to eat here because in Vermont they don't know how to do Chinese food . This restaurant offers the best Chinese food in Keene because of the quality of ingredients. I had been purchasing Chinese food at another location up the street because of its Yelp reviews, but frankly their meat tasted a little old and sketchy. My only complaint here is that their chef is stingy with the meat. I ordered Hunan chicken and beef with peppers but both orders had so little meat in them that I had to cut it up into small pieces so it "seemed" like more. Luckily the vegetables were tasty but I wanted more than a vegan entree. And ask for extra soy sauce if you want more than the single packet per entree. And expect to pay inflated prices which seems like the norm today. Long gone are the days when we got Chinese takeout to save a little money. read more

We picked up take out from here and it was good. Unfortunately none of the dishes really stood out as being fantastic and the boneless spareribs were quite small and dry. In fact most of it was in little bits and shreds. We ordered chicken fingers, sweet and sour chicken, boneless ribs, lo mein, rice, scallops and broccoli, and 2 orders of scallion pancakes. Our order came with plnety of sauces but worth that much food we only got 2 fortune cookies. The restaurant itself looked nice and clean. None of the staff ever said a word to us. In fact, one of the servers was laying down in one of the booths on his phone when we walked in. Parking was easy on Main Street. Was back in the area and stopped in for lunch. Food was decent but service was very slow despite it not being very busy. I ordered a luncheon special that came with wonton soup which for greens just had some chopped up iceberg lettuce tossed in and vegetable fried rice on the side that I wasn't a huge fan of. Used to come here often. Since then has been a clear decline in food quality, corners cut, and portions smaller than ever. Egg rolls, crab rangoons, and chicken fingers all clearly frozen and bought in the smallest way made possible, really laughable. There is a clear weird, uncomfortable feeling in the restaurant. I can best describe it as almost coltish. The employees clearly talk about you just in different languages to each other and are in no rush to bring you anything or checkup on you. The icing on the cake was a bald asian waiter that belittled us for not knowing what we wanted, saying to my mother "so you didn't look at the menu huh" when she attempted to order. (It gets better) This man then only came back to check on us after giving out the food when we pulled out cash to pay. We did not tip and he blocked us from leaving and kept asking "is this it?" and "are you sure there is nothing else you need to do?" The worst part was there were soldiers here in uniform getting treated the same way. Terrible establishment, terrible service, skimps on the food, but continues to increase the price. Went last night for takeout for 1st time since coved 19 shutdown. We normally frequented restaurant at least once a month for takeout. I ordered the Ginger Chicken with string beans. There was no ginger and the chicken was very overcooked with a thick brown sauce. Green beans very overcooked. Threw it out. My husband had the Doubled Sautéed sliced pork...pretty much the same as the chicken. Also order the fried dumplings.
