I'm mortified to admit that I paid $1,500 for a resume that - despite my robust professional background - never yielded one single interview. Not. One. Teri charges 3 times more than her competition yet unlike other companies, does not guarantee her work. Therefore, I wasted a significant part of my saving on a useless resume and have had to hire someone else to finally get it right. Not only is she outrageously expensive, but my resume had so many typos that I spent days and days revising her work. When I voiced my concerns, Teri actually said that "she couldn't be expected to fix her mistakes unless I gave her an additional 2 weeks to edit my resume" since "no one can catch their errors without having a significant break from a document." Umm...what? As a writer and editor myself, I can edit anything I write almost immediately with say, a 10 minute break. Her work is sloppy, pure and simple. Worse, she has absolutely zero understanding of how the current job market works now - especially as she is not savvy about LinkedIn or the algorithms companies use to find candidates. She hasn't evolved with the times and sadly, I paid a heavy price for her ignorance - not just in her outrageous fees , her but in countless lost professional opportunities. Teri, will charge you for resume that is very vague. She will not show you any past resumes or give you a number to call and ask for references. I talked to her on the phone and she stated, she could not do a resume until she met me, so I went in and, what a talker about everything except my resume. She did write down items for my resume. Trust me, once I received the resume, spelling errors, grammar. Really nothing we talked about was correct on the resume. NOT 1 interview in 2 months. I found a company that ran it thru their hiring system computer, her resume scored 18/100. That thru my name out if the running from the start. I re-did my resume an followed the point that needed to be corrected. When I told Teri, she actually wanted a copy of the new resume--What a laugh. I have used Teri for may years and I find her work to be stellar! Yes, she is a bit eccentric, but most creative thinkers share this trait. I have moved around the country a bit and breaking into new territory can be a challenge, but Teri's work always does the trick for me. One question, why is yelp putting reviews from 2011 and 2013 first? It almost looks like they want to cause problems. When I go to the second page of reviews here, they are recent and good reviews. I have had two resumes written for me by Teri, many years apart, and both times I had a very quick job acquisition rate. I found her work to be of high quality, the turn around was really fast, and if I wanted any changes she made them promptly. She used wording and format that I hadn't even thought of. She had great suggestions and really got to know me so she could write a genuine representation of me in my resume and cover letter. It seems like people who are complaining about their results were perhaps hoping that a nice resume would cover up their other, probably more obvious shortcomings. Teri is not impressive at all with her work. I paid $750 for a cover letter, resume, and text for my LinkedIn profile. She added programs that I never used to my resume and I found a few grammatical errors. Her success rate was inconsistent. I felt ripped off. I've had my resume out for several months and no bites. I recommend either doing it yourself or finding someone in your own circle of colleagues/friends to assist. She is overpriced and provides no results. read more

The other reviews here are correct. Rude and condescending when I started asking questions and asked to see some examples of her work (of which, she did not show me any). I spent an hour and a half in her office, and I think 5 of those minutes were spent talking about my resume and career ambitions. The remaining 85 minutes consisted of me listening to her talk about how darn great she is and that I will never get another job unless I enlist her help . She really makes you feel like you can't get along in life without her 'guidance'. She would not show me any examples of her work, then tried to charge me $525 to REDO my resume. My resume wasn't bad to begin with...$525??!! Plus another $250 for the LinkedIn profile and another $300 for a cover letter. No thanks. As promised here is an update on my success, or lack there of, with the resume provided by Cherry Creek Resume Service. I have submitted at least 50 resumes in the past 5 months and have only had one interview and that was after I had updated the formatting and overall flow of the resume. Since then I have decided to start my own venture in hopes to fill my income needs. Teri did an awesome job with my resume!!! I was looking for a resume writer in Denver and apparently there are only a few out there who can do it well for a living. Teri is very personable, intuitive, and just a fun person to talk to in general. What sold me was her website. She's been doing it for almost thirty years and the site gives you a good idea of her philosophy and work ethic. In a day and age where I see a ton of garbage cross my desk when it comes to resumes, I value the "WOW" factor of what Teri wrote for my own resume. Teri is amazing, especially with high level career clients, who are competing with a lot of great material out there in the business world. She is more expensive than other resume services but is right in alignment with what Ladders and other high level services charge. Rewrote things that didn't need to be rewritten. Talked about her kooky life for most of our time together. I knew when I walked out that this was not going to be good . . . and it was horrible. The other reviewers are spot on. I wish i would've seen these reviews before I made my appointment. I was attracted to this business because of the great reviews on Google, but looking back, those reviews had to have been fake. Teri spends a great deal of time talking about herself and her hobbies instead of the documents she asks you to bring. She provides no examples of prior resumes or cover letters she has done, and she relies very heavily on her own word. To redo my resume and "touch up" my cover letter she wanted to charge an outrageous $625. I told her that I appreciated her time but would not be able to afford her services and she was kinda pushy, asking me how much my bag cost and if I had someone to help me pay. Not a fan! I ended up significantly editing the resume she charged me for and in the end I got a job with my original "self written" resume. For a service that costs just under $1,000 she did not provide 25% of the value. If I had to do it all over again I would have paid an online service $100 just for the formatting and consultation time. Despite the other two positive reviews and rave reviews on Google, my experience with Teri was not so great. First off, her prices are double of what other resume writers charge. Her strategy is to find a company that you really want to work for and submit a resume and cover letter to them, assuming that they'll be so intrigued and create a position for you. She claims 98% success on this. We submitted to several companies and never heard back from any of them. I was a bit skeptical of this and when I questioned Teri about this process, she actually got an attitude with me! Now I'm back to the old fashioned way of applying for jobs when an opening comes up. She never followed up with me to help with my career planning. She gets paid whether I land a job or not and just moves onto her next client. I at least give her 2 stars because she did a great job with my resume and cover letter and was prompt with them. I just don't think everything was worth the price, though. read more

I found Teri's work to be excellent. I believe she did a thorough review of my performance evaluations and pulled out accurate information regarding my selling points and created a resume and linked in profile that I NEVER could have created. Teri called me back and responded to my requests more quickly than I expected. She also created my resume quicker than she said she would. The resume was so fantastic it gave me the confidence to go into my current position ask for a completely different and flexible schedule that resulted in my dream work/life balance. I have read the review on this website and I find it interesting that the reviews did not evaluate her work, just her consultation.
