I've passed it plenty of times and finally decided to give it a shot. The drive-thru experience started off well. The employee taking our order was friendly, patient, and helpful since it was our first visit. We ordered a Freddy's double burger meal and a senior meal with an all-beef hot dog, fries, and drinks. The food itself was good--no complaints there. It reminded me of a mix between Steak 'n Shake and Five Guys. Fresh, hot, and flavorful. However, I had an issue with pricing that completely changed my overall experience. At the speaker, my total was $19.03. When I got to the window, I was told $19.05. When I asked about the difference, I was told that Freddy's rounds all purchases up to the nearest $0.05 because pennies are no longer being minted. That didn't sit right with me. Rounding every transaction up by 2-4 cents may seem small, but across hundreds of customers a day, that adds up quickly--and it's always in the business's favor, not the customer's. That doesn't feel fair. In 2026, there's no reason a system can't be set up to price items so totals naturally land on even increments or round in a way that doesn't consistently benefit the business. If that's your policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront when ordering--not after the fact when customers are already in line with no way to opt out. Customers should be told the correct total from the beginning. I was too busy side-eyeing that total at the window to even think about taking pictures. Because of that experience, I don't plan to return.

He can barely walk and get around. I am his wife/aide. We decided to go to DQ and I wanted to go inside. He did not. I finally talked him into going inside. IT WAS 40 DEGREES INSIDE THE LOCATION. I finally walked over and talked to Destiny, the very nice, young lady behind the counter. I asked her if she could turn that FREEZER down for just 10-15 minutes so my husband could eat inside real quick. She said she would talk to her Manager. I said ok and placed $5 in her tip cup. Waited, Waited, and Waited. The 10-15 minutes went by, there was no one in there other than another couple, and the A/C is still blowing. I go back up and ask Destiny if she spoke to her manager, she said she did. Ok, I do appreciate it. The A/C does not shut down until we were about to leave, another 15 or so minutes later. I went back up to Destiny and asked her the name of the manager on-duty? Maria LN?. Ok, thanks. It was Sunday, August 2nd around 15:13 hours in the afternoon. I got my husband a blizzard, a small dipped cone for me, 2 boxes of Dilly bars and we took everything outside so we could warm up. I realize it is VERY HOT outside right now, but it was freezing inside. The other couple was cold as well. I understand heat permeating outside the kitchen area and trying to keep it cool, but this was just insanely cold. I told my husband several years ago that businesses just don't realize how much they could save owners (and grid) on a monthly basis if they just monitored their systems a little bit better. I guarantee you, thousands of dollars, A MONTH. I am giving a 5-STAR to Destiny and the food was very good. It's just those little things that managers should act upon as soon as possible (if reasonable) for their customers. That is all. Carry On. Thanks!!
