Everything about this chain of casinos screams IT IS CHEAPER FOR US TO FINE OURSELF INSTEAD OF PAYING THE PLAYERS... It might improve IF OKLAHOMA HAD A UNBIASED STATE RAN GAMING COMMISSION... People do not realize that the last casinos that were commissioned by the owners were ran by the Mafia... How Oklahoma casinos have the right to commission themselves is a question only an ignorant person could give an answer to ... Go to Kansas City go to New Orleans at least you have legitimate chance of winning at a casino that has a proper common sense state ran gaming commission making sure they stay legitimate and fair . Gamble anywhere but in Oklahoma if you want to have a fair gambling experience until Oklahoma decides that a state ran gaming commission makes more sense than what the Indians told them was a good idea ... I guess Oklahomas governor and lawmakers were complete idiots the year they decided to open casinos there or they were bought off cheap... These casinos are straight up very obvious rip offs only to place second to most online gaming ... You cannot expect a fox to feed your chickens and when you do Oklahoma casinos happen... You cannot complain to anyone who doesn't work for the casino you are complaining about and if you do and you right they will ask you to never return to their casino... I complained about the buttons not working on a 3 wheel slot ... The slot manage got a tech to check it out ... The tech couldn't even use the buttons to navigate thru the menu on the machine so she put an out of order sign on it ... That's when I reminded them that malfunction voids all pays and pays and I wanted my money back because the machine should have been out order because it was not 100% functional ... The manager said that wouldn't be possible and I said yes it is very possible and it is illegal to have a machine operating on the floor that isn't 100% operational and I reminded him that these were their rules... They went to the office and 10 minutes later while I'm waiting my friend to leave they come and take to the cashier's and give me back every dime I spent from time I walked into the place ... Then I was told I was not welcome at their casino anymore ... It's a trick of the casinos to take as long as possible to respond to a complaint because people have no patience to wait ... My little ordeal took three hours of waiting for the slot manager and then the tech and then the casino manager but I waited them out most people won't and they know that so they use it . Just like shutting down all the ATMs at the same so customers have to wait in line to cash out ... They know most people won't wait and continue to gamble ... These are practices that would get a casino in a state with real gaming commission heavily or shut down if it was continued... But not in Oklahoma .. read more

The Casino was small and not very active. We ate and the soup and mashed potatoes would of been good but they drenched them in salt. We couldn't eat them. We took them home because they didn't want to take them of our bill. The steak and fish were, ok! We won't be going back. read more

The "Security" and "Night Supervisor" is laughable! I am just curious what your policy says about weapons on the premises. What is considered a weapon? Would a knife be considered a weapon? When someone reported a weapon had been used to destroy their property while it was parked at your Cherokee Casino Grove why was nothing done about it? A WEAPON! The Delaware County Sheriff's Department {I know they're laughable too} was called and a report was made at your facility. Your Security and Management REFUSED to assist the officer so he could investigate the said weapon used on your property! So once again, what does your policy say about weapons on the premises? The only thing I have ever seen your "security" do is follow people around inside the casino and accuse them of taking penny tickets out of machines that are empty!! Heaven forbid!!!! Cherokee Casino can you please tell me why a flipping penny ticket, that someone clearly left on the machine because they didn't want, is more important to security than a weapon in the parking lot destroying my property????? What does that tell your customers? It does NOT make me feel very secure leaving your casino at night by myself with money in my hand. If your security allows someone to use a weapon to destroy my property when it's there then whose to say they wouldn't allow someone to use a weapon on me and rob me. This is the brand-new Cherokee casino in Grove. Corner of HWY 59 & 85A Hi ceilings and a really cool return air system in the floor seems to be doing a great job on the cigarette smoke! Nice lounge with friendly bartenders and staff. Small restaurant with daily blue plate special's food pricing seems to be very reasonable. Staff says this is phase 1 and only slot machines for now. Phase 2 will have cards and table games. Additional phases include a buffet and hotel. read more

We had dinner in February 2017 and the food was fabulous! We ordered the Blackened Red Snapper and the Pork Chop dinners. The portions were generous and very reasonably priced. Our server, Bailey, was attentive, polite, and very pleasant. Overall, we very much enjoyed our meal and plan on returning with friends. We returned for breakfast and had the Barn Buster breakfast. Good food served fast with generous portions. The only down-side to eating there is that people smoke inside the restaurant. They don't follow the MO clean air act:(. read more

The only reason for the 4 stars is because I think the slots were stingy on the winnings. My luck may not be the greatest but I didn't hear too many bells going off for others. As for the casino itself, I think it was clean, the staff was great and though it was a smoking casino, I didn't smell it in my hair or clothes afterwards so the ventilation had to be great. We almost didn't go because of the bad reviews but as I read them closer it was due to the food. We didn't eat there so I have no review on that but I'm glad we went regardless of our losses. read more

Great casino and restaurant! As far as the restaurant goes, I have never been let down. The food is always excellent and I recommend asking for Cody to be your server. For the casino/overall ambience, they do a great job of keeping it clean and you can tell the management takes pride in their casino and making sure it's up to par. If you are not the biggest fan of smoky casinos, they have a double ventilation system through the rafters and through the floor. Unless somebody is smoking right next to you, it is generally hard to tell. I would definitely recommend stopping by and checking out Cherokee Casino next time you're in Grove. read more

I got to go orders two nights in a row at the Cherokee casino restaurant. Very disappointing both times the first night I ordered the spring salad got home and it was missing feta cheese, and pecans. The next night I went back and tried to speak with a manager, and she was too busy or on the phone. I tried to talk to the server about the first nights order and he could care less, I ordered steak the second night with a vegetable medley. I ordered the steak, medium rare I got home and it's well done to medium and the vegetable melody is green beans. I called and spoke with Tony the manager. This is the closest casino to my home. And luck would have it, one of my top three favorite casinos of the region. Now if luck WOULD help me win more, right?). The resturaunt is excellent 85% of the time, acceptably good another 12% or 13% of the time. We won't discuss the other 2% or 3% because mistakes and big mistakes happen. And I am critical of resturaunt too big for their briches. Almost all the time acceptable, most the time spectacular. From Street Taco Tuesdays (my fav) to menu item sirloin steak (my other fav) : Yum, yum, excellent. The floor pays, I think, more than others. I am also there more than others. Still, it feels like it pays more. That does keep me happier and coming back. I think that One Star (player's club for most Cherokee casinos) is a little small on free play and food vouchers. As for the food vouchers, they have at least two days a week that play & eat is in effect. So, more food vouchers with play timing and a few points. And I do like One Star for its flexability with points and free play. They can be used in any One Star Casino no matter where it was earned. The down side of the flexability is that you can only earn one set of free play no matter how many One Star casinos you frequent? What makes Cherokee Casino Grove so special is the people. These are some of the best people in casinos. I have mentioned Bailey on another review. Cashier Bailey is my favorite casino associate, ever. She is quitecapable of more me smile and she gives me lucky bills when I ask, humoring me I think. Her smile, infectious. There is another cashier there that I also find completely awesome. I do not know her name but she works 3rd shift over night, most nights. She diserves a shout out also. One very excellent person and cashier. She also shows genuine compassion and empathy for her regular patrons. I only started noticing this when I jackpotted on her shift. A very warm soul. Ashley in the player's club. She is a superb associate. I know from experience. And don't let me forget Kiowa the over-night attendant. I must say the casino got more than it expected when they hired him. If the vaginitis doesn't see that in Kiowa, it is the casinos loss and bad vision. As a good judge of employee ability from experience, Cherokee Grove could have hired him with a promotion of one or two levels and still have gotten more than they expected. Kiowa is just that good. So good Kiowa, makes others around him better. His sense of humor and smile are also infectious and contagious. I'm otherwords, it is hard to be not happy when Kiowa is happy around you. When i was in business, I only needed three "Kiowa-like" people to rule the industry, absolutely rule with an iron fist controlling portion of the industry. You have the one at least one Kiowa, which is a great start. Take care of him and rule your industry! Keep it up! I really like Cherokee Grove. Polite from the GM to (most of) the pull team security force. There is a little improvement needed with pull team operations Most associated very good and polite. Security can be pushy and "rude-ish" torward patrons in the way of the pull team. Better than most sms still could use improvement in a small degree. All of that considered, It is one of the best casino around as well as one of the best Cherokee casinos. read more

We arrived at 7:10 pm on Friday, May 20 to play for my husband's birthday. We parked our RV which we are traveling in as we have many times in the past. We were greeted at the front door by a security guard who asked us if we have pts on board. He proceeded to tell us we can not park on casino property unless one of us stays to attend the pets. Upon speaking with his supervisor, we were told that they do not allow unattened pets in "vehicles" on the property and that if they let us stay, they would have to allow patrons to also leave their pest in their cars. We have no place to park or to leave our pets. I guess we will go to one of the other 10 casinos in the area. NOT RV FRIENDLY. read more

Purposely avoiding eye contact by the girl nope they walked to every table. most attention we got was have a good night when getting out our seats to leave by the same one who walked circles around our table wish I asked a name. if I could give a minus 5 I would don't eat here if you want to be treated like trash. i wonder if they know they don't get tips if you treat people like that even when taking their orders. The worst! Had dinner there tonight. The were exactly 11 people in the restaurant. I ordered the fried shrimp with rice. After about 30 minutes, the waitress actually asked me if I had received my food yet. Apparently she didn't know. I told her, "no," and her response was, "it should be out soon." I don't know how she knew that, since she didn't go back to check. The food arrived after 45 minutes. The shrimp was soggy, and the rice was very undercooked and cold. I was hungry, so I ate it. The waitress came by later and asked me how it was, and I said, "honestly, it's not good." Instead of asking what was wrong, or if she could get a manager, her response was, "Yeah, they're having issues in the kitchen, They should leave their issues at home." That's not what you want to hear while you're eating. After dinner I went to the bar to get a beer. I was at one end of the bar, and the there were two guys at the other end. The waitress was standing by them, laughing and talking. At one point she actually looked down at me, but continued to talk to the two guys. Eventually she looked again and I waved at her, and she came down and took my order. When I was ready to tab out, we went through the same process. Don't bother going here. The casino was dead. Friends and I ate at the restaurant. The food was good, but wait staff very slow. Or should I say overworked. She was the only one working, and the restaurant was the busiest place in there. The atmosphere is dead, none to speak of. My friend ordered a wine it took forever to get it. Now I haven't gambled here, but my son and I ate at the restaurant, yeah not good at all. I'd give it a ZERO if I could. I usually give places at least 2 times to disappoint me, but not sure I'd try it again. I went there for the Prime rib, what I got was a Piece of Prime FAT. Now I know prime rib has fat on it I have eaten it for ages, but this was 90% fat and 10% meat. then I had ordered Rice Pilaf. I have NO idea what they consider Rice Pilaf but it was Horrible I didn't even eat it and I got vegetables which looked like garbage or stuff they couldn't serve to others. And my Son got a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, which did not even resemble a Philly Cheese steak. and he barely ate it.. oh and we had to wait for close to half an hour to be seated. Went for supper and service was so very slow. The server never offered refills on drinks. The food came out very over cooked. The server finally checked back with us after 20 mins. When we told her the food should not look burned, she just took the plates away and stated she would take the food orders off our check. This is not the first unpleasant experience we have had there and so will not be returning for dinner. read more
