I had no problem parking and leaving the race track. It's self parking which is what I like. So, you can park wherever you want. The concession stand was busy and had a big long wait. So, expect to stand in line for 30 minutes. There was one thing that was confusing here. They use red light for cautions. I have never seen that. I have been to over 40 race tracks in the country and they all use yellow light for caution. Red was used for the race car drivers to stop anywhere they are on the race track. Why they use red light for caution here, I don't know. I would come back here though. The grandstands were full probably because of cheap admission prices. In summary, there were a lot of cautions while I was here. Way too many for some reason. While I was here, I got nachos and cheese which costs $6. See photo.

The place was a bit of a zoo since anyone can walk around the pit area and there are cars going every which way. I didn't mind the Friday night $7 entry to watch anyone and everyone go head to head. I check online, and was real simple getting my free tickets ordered and printed off. When getting to the park, I was a little taken back that parking was $10 per vehicle. Fortunately, I had just happened to have a $10 bill on me (a rare occurrence), but I had not seen anything stating this on the website beforehand. I would have been pretty upset had I not happened to have the cash on me at the time, and would have had to turn around and go find an ATM at 11pm. If they charge a parking fee on a regular basis, it needs to be announced so people know to bring cash. The facilities inside the park were pretty good. Not great, but good. I really liked their setup, and how they allowed the general public to walk around and see the drivers and their cars being worked on in the pits. Very cool. There were also a lot of food and drink vendors, as well as apparel too. The shirt vendors actually had some really good rpices, and I bought a few for my family and I. The biggest problem we encountered was that people are still allowed to smoke in the stands. Being a former smoker myself, it is extremely difficult for me to be around the secondhand smoke. My family was really uncomfortable as well. I wish that at the very least, the park would designate a smoking section or something similar. I think this issue will prevent us from returning as often as we might have if this issue was not present. The racing itself was good. The park needed to do a better job of prepping both lanes equally, because there was a distinct difference in lane quality throughout the entire night. Other than that, the raving was real good.

Toilets are sufficient for the men, but there is usually a line for the ladies. Bud Walton was Sam Walton's brother and was one of the original founders of the Wal-Mart empire. He apparently donated half of the construction cost for the arena, which today is the home of the University of Arkansas men's and women's basketball teams, aka the Razorbacks. It has a seating capacity of 19,368 and is also used for large events in Northwest Arkansas, such as U of A graduations and the Wal-Mart Shareholders Meeting. Seats are reasonably comfortable and unless you are in the nosebleed section, you have a good view of the entire basketball court. You can also see the several dozen banners hanging from the rafters that list the Razorback's assorted NCAA ranked finishes and championships. Soooooie! Pig!
