A family owned show cave that was discovered by their grandfather Arthur Browning in 1925. This is truly an amazing cave to visit any time of year because the temperature inside is constant amid snow, or shine (I did not know that as it was my first time going inside one). If I remember correctly this is a what is referred to as a live cave, which means the stalagmites and stalactites are still forming and there's water trickling at many spots. I was in awe of everything inside. As there were just myself and a friend, we pretty much received a VIP tour ($21 per adult) so we were able to spend as much time as we wanted gawking and taking pictures. The cave itself was pretty easy to walk through without crazy inclines or declines. Absolutely perfect for a first-timer like me. We were somewhat lucky and spotted a couple of bats and lots of salamander tadpoles inside the cave too, my friend wanted to see a bunch of salamanders crawlig on the walls as she'd seen clips of it on YouTube. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and full of personality. He definitely has passion for what he does. There's also a gift shop and a small museum, so the fun doesn't just end upon exiting the cave. read more

I had the joy of visiting Bluff Dwellers Cave 6/8/2024 with my father. We had the pleasure of being lead by the absolute legend, Boone, our phenomenal tour guide. The tour lasted about an hour, the right amount of time to view the beautiful intricacies of this exquisite cave. Boone told us it stays an even 56 degrees Fahrenheit all year round, it was the perfect temporary escape from the sweltering humidity of the summer. The museum on site was also spectacular, I loved all the history and how this property has stayed in the family for generations, you can truly tell that those who work/serve/own the property really have their heart in it, and it makes a difference. I would 100% recommend this spot. 10/10. I would absolutely come back as well. read more

This place was an amazing experience! Arrive early as you have to sign up for a tour. You are not allowed to bring backpacks but it's only an hour. We had a baby with us and we're not able to use our hiking carrier but we were able to take turns holding her. I would recommend baby wearing on the front. Great family experience! read more

Nice folks and standard prices for a commercial cave tour. The little museum is good for 15-30 minutes while you wait for a tour. The outdoor crawling maze box is fun for kids and they have gem panning as well if you want to spend more. The tour was a little over an hour. Our guide Sue was funny, patient, and respectful. The cave itself has a few unique features like the salamanders we saw and the natural dam formation in the pool. This is a very well preserved cave, but not that visually impressive compared to many I have toured. Worth a stop if you are in the area. read more

Mary Jane was THE Best Tour ever! My wife & I have been to at Least 10 caverns in the midwest in the past 3 years and MJ was easily the funniest and most down to earth (the deep earth! Lol). She was so knowledgeable and knew where to find even the smallest of salamanders and bats throughout the cave. Bluff Dwellers Cave itself is so impressive. Wide river made rooms in one area and narrow passages with 25 ft ceilings in others. A real Must see in Missouri!!! read more

I took my daughter and 2 grandchildren (ages 5 and 9) here in May of 2021. We all loved it! Our guide Cory was very nice and extremely well versed in all aspects of this cave. The tour was about an hour, which I thought was perfect. They also have a small gift shop and museum that was also very nice. read more

Amazing! The drive to get there is amazing! It's also terrifying to look up and see stone sticking out over the road and knowing you will die if it falls! But it is beautiful. And then you arrive. It is a very small operation and if you show up at 9am you might have to look in the gift shop to find the woman in charge. The new manager is the one of the funniest, coolest, and easiest to get along with people I have ever had the fortune to meet! And then you enter the caverns. Which are privately owned and maintained, which is really great! If you show up early you might only end up going on a tour with one other family. Which is great! The caverns themselves are extremely interesting and create an intimate cave experience! And the story is awesome too! You will have to see it, seriously!!! After the cave tour you exit near the museum and gift shop! Good priced gems and other souvenirs. But the museum is incredible! It's a huge collection of some of the most impressive gems and formations I have ever seen! Also you can see things left behind by the caverns original inhabitants! Including one of their skulls! Epic! In summation, we drove over 500 miles out of our way just to see this. I made the right choice!!!! read more

I went with a group from NW Arkansas. Mary Jane was our guide and she rocked. She is very knowledgeable and we loved her stories. The cave is beautiful and an easy trek. Don't get me wrong, you have to watch your step. There are a few narrow places but it doesn't last long. I dont know how long the tour lasted, but it wasnt short. Because this is a tour, it helps for those that have a little difficulty because we stop often for explanations about what we are seeing. I am claustraphobic and had no problem. There were bats .. yay.The Museum and gift shop is really nice and again a very knowledgeable person in there. Didn't get her name. Definitely worth the trip. read more

Bluff Dwellers Cave at Noel is an easy but very cool tour. Easy, as there is little climbing or crawling, you'll likely stay dry. Cool, as is in fifty six degrees year around. Staff was entertaining, down home friendly, very informative. The cave is photogenic, well maintained, features bats and salamanders, stalagmites and stalagtites, an interesting balanced rock, and boasts some intriguing history. By all means, stop and visit when you're in the area and have an hour to kill. Oh yeah, watch out for Mary Jane - She tried to steal our motorcycle!!! :) read more

This is a great cave. We have visited several caves in Arkansas and were surprised to see a few new formations that we hadn't seen in other caves. For example, the sponge rocks and the large rock that tilts up and down. The drive to the cave is very pretty and there are several boat rental places along the way. I imagine you could make a nice day trip by combining the cave tour with a few hours of kayaking. read more

We had a great time at the cave. I think what made it such a great tour is that our tour guide (Mary Jane) loved the cave and knew everything there was to know about it. The only problem that I had with this tour was the expense. I think it was around 14 dollars a person. Besides that I would suggest this as a fun stop for anyone at any age. read more

On a 100 degree day in late July, you won't find a nicer place to spend your time than Bluff Dwellers Cave. We were comprised of 3 generations with the youngest being 6. There was something of interest for all and we talked about the little trip into the evening. We would suggest this destination for all as it was a place that the entire family will enjoy. Awesome stop! Came here with three adults and three kids under the age of 5. All of the kids had fun. The two year old grew antsy by the end but overall it was a successful visit. The gift shop/museum is really cool. A lot of different things to look at and discover. The tour was really well done the guide was knowledge and patient with questions. Super bonus on the way out we got to see some of the cave salamanders! Highly recommend this stop. It's a nice cool low key interesting activity. read more

We took the tour on Friday July 13, 2018. I was not impressed with the tour guide - Mary Jane. She was intent on using very bad humor throughout the tour and telling "man bashing" jokes. She even said she was told not to tell the jokes, but she did anyway. I could deal with the dumb jokes if she had been more knowledgable about the geology of the cave. I go to caves because that is where geology can be easily seen. She seemed to know very little and referred us to the geologist who works in the store. I asked several questions which she answered poorly if at all. She did tell us a bit about the story behind the cave discovery and family, but there was so much more she could have said as we discovered when we looked in the museum and talked to the geologist. I will not recommend this and wish I had my money back. Tour guides need to be well educated in the subject they are touring. Is that too much to ask for the price. read more
