I had a confirmed tour scheduled with this venue-confirmed not once, but four separate times. I rearranged my schedule, drove a long distance to be there, and when I arrived... no one showed up. No call, no email, no explanation. Just silence. They clearly have no consideration for other people's time or effort. If this is how they handle a simple meeting, I can't imagine trusting them with something as important as a wedding day. This kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional. We recently had our daughter's wedding here. The people are so very nice and extremely accommodating. The food was delicious. The decorations were beautiful. It rained that day and up until a couple hours before we didn't know if it would be able to be outside or not. They were ready for either! They had it set up nicely for either out or in. My only complaint was that as the guest were finished eating, the food was left on the tables for a long time. I felt the guys who had helped serve should have been coming to clean off the tables. My family came here from Houston for my sisters-daughters XV. The outside of the venue was nice except for the old white rose pedals from a previous party that were not cleaned off. The AC outside the main venue was not working well, we were all sweaty while getting ready. The food was cold, the bartender would not serve us mixed drinks even though my sister and brother in law paid for all of it. If we wanted a mixed drink- my brother in law had to go to the bar with us. During the toast- the servers WERE TAKING DRINKS AND DRINKING IN FRONT OF THE PARTY FROM THE CHAMPAGNE GLASSES. The box that had all the envelopes with cash, gift cards etc... many of the envelopes were missing. My sister knows envelopes were missing because she had put multiple envelopes in the box from guests and many friends asked if my niece if she liked her gift cards. My sister called the venue to ask about this and management brushed her off and showed no concern whatsoever. I am disappointed with Che'ne Rouge. We booked at Chene Rouge for our daughter's wedding scheduled for Sept 27, 2025. We paid in full up front. Unfortunately, the wedding is canceled, in April 2025, and Chene Rouge refuses to refund any of the charges. I expected them to keep a portion, but considering they would have time to rebook for that date, I would expect 50 - 75% back. Things happen that cause a change of plans, and they will not work with you. Be cautious before booking with them! read more

A complete waste of a beautiful venue due to poor management, operations and staffing. I chose this location well over a year before our big day. The planning process seemed to be a breeze before things took a huge shift just weeks out from our wedding. 1) Communication was AWFUL. We were handed off to different staff members several times (Kristin to Michael to Karyn). We sent numerous texts and left ample messages with their receptionist, with no response until I threatened to speak with management. Not to mention, the day of coordinator did not review the details of our contract and failed us miserably on wedding day. 2) They were completely understaffed, and unequipped for the size our wedding (175 guests). Paid floral was missing. Drapes were thin, and not properly hung during ceremony. Tables were not set up. Estate + Bride & Groom table missing chargers. Their champagne chart was broken and not set up for our reception. The food during cocktail hour and the reception was cold. Our signature drinks were made incorrectly. The grounds were not manicured at all and flooded with old leaves. 3) I sent a formal complaint detailing and itemizing everything from our contract left unfulfilled. The owners, Heather and Andrew, were completely dismissive and combative towards the concerns/complaints we expressed. We were put on mute several times during a call with them due to Andrew's irate behavior and commentary as Heather spoke. He snatched the phone, talked over us and hung up. Not once, but THREE times (See screenshots of my call log each time I dialed back). To say the least, I am in utter disbelief at how misleading and unprofessional this entire experience was. Thank God I hired my own wedding planner to assist throughout this entire process. Had it not been for her, her team and outsourced vendors, our wedding would've been ruined. She ran interference all day, brought in and added her OWN decor, and did ALL of the logistics. And if you're wondering.. no, we have not received our money back per the Failure to Perform Services clause in their contract for the unfulfilled items. read more

Attended a beautiful wedding here in late September, when the weather was bright, the humidity low and the temps a bit cooler than normal. Hiram is a good hike from the heart of Atlanta, but you can easily get here from around Atlanta in an hour or less. The wedding I went to was outside in the gardens. There's a lot they can do with the patio and gardens--dress it up with flowers, statues and drapes for a wedding, or dress it down with picnic tables and gingham tablecloths for a barbecue. This indoor banquet/event hall is just the right size for a variety of events and looks like it can hold 150-200 people comfortably. I liked how the place isn't huge and sprawling. It's a manageable size and even has a separate bar and patio area for getting drinks. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I was recently in a wedding here and on the day of the wedding so many things were wrong It's ridiculous. Let's start with the decorations that were picked out through them never arrived and the wedding planner had to utilize her own decor for the reception. The bride paid for rose petals on the aisle, chandeliers in the trees, lanterns along the aisle all which were not set up. The heaters purchased for cocktail our wouldn't turn on the food was also ice cold. They served RAW CHICKEN during the reception, and had two people serving a wedding of 175 people so you can just imagine the line. The signature drinks we incorrect, and the top shelf liquor that was purchased never made it. The icing on the cake is when the bride reached out to request compensation for all of her missing requests the owners were very rude and unaccommodating even with all the photographic evidence of all the mishaps that taken place through out the night. They hung up in her face serval times and blocked her from being able to contact them. So moral of the story is DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE!! read more

Family members had to sit in their cars who have health issues due to it being cold, & missed the ceremony. 2nd: The decor was horrendous!! We got married here last week. We fell in love with the outside portion of the venue. The inside was beautiful too but nothing you can't find elsewhere (and probably for a lot cheaper). Unfortunately it rained throughout our entire wedding and reception. We did not have access to the majority of the venue. It was unseasonably cold and wet for October. Of course that's the risk you take when you choose an outside venue. There were no refunds offered for the parts of the venue that were not used. However we did get a $300 credit from the veranda that went towards the open bar. The staff (especially Allison) did their best to make the day special. Unfortunately as much as they try, if the weather doesn't cooperate there is no way to get the full value of this place. We actually had to pay an additional $300 so they could "flip" the ceremony space and decorate for the reception. Also our options for photography were VERY limited due to heavy rain. All of the pictures were taken in the bridal suite and very cold and wet Veranda area. We are considering going back to take more pictures because it was simply not what we had hoped for. I would highly recommend that if you choose this place or any outdoor venue be sure that you love the inside option as much as the outside option. Also ask lots of questions. They sold us on the beauty of the outside areas. We actually weren't clear on the the rain option until 2 days before the wedding. Side note: cake was good, chicken was dry, DJ was dope and the photographer was really nice and professional. I just wanted to express the high and lows of our wedding day on 9/3/21 at Chene Rouge. First off our day was perfect minus a few minor things we didn't get that we paid for. We didn't get the late night snack of waffles and chicken, and the coffee service. The coffee service was free but we didn't get the chicken and waffles. I don't want money back but just make sure for future weddings they get what they paid for. Also, the vases kept falling during the ceremony maybe make the aisle way a little bigger so they won't fall. Our guest caught them each time. The photo booth room wasn't on but wasn't really upset with Covid but we had a 360 photo booth. With your green wall tell the couple you have that. I would of bought a sign to put on there. Lastly the bar should have signs not a typed paper taped to the bar. I would of bought that as well just figured you had a sign for the signature drinks. My husband and I booked this venue when they were under the old management. Initially, we had an appointment and it snowed really bad overnight, Allison called me and asked if I could reschedule for sometime later in week. I told her that we had already down here for our appointment and explained how we lived 4 hours away. She said well if you don't mind I don't either. So this was the type of treatment I expected during the whole process. LOL, then BAM! We received the "We are under new management" email. I used the DJ and Catering companies that were offered in the package. I personally think the new Chene Rouge group , except Christy, could care less about that we lived 4 hours away and the inconvenience they caused during this whole experience by their nonchalant tones when something wasn't right because of them. The old management was much more responsive and attentive to our needs. If I were you I would not choose to use the catering company (Legacy Catering) provided by the venue, my tasting meeting was a terrible experience. It was held 2 weeks before my event and when I asked if I could get another one they told me, I could but I wouldn't get any money back even though the reason for the late tasting was due to their own scheduling issues.. 2 times. First time the Lady scheduled me for the wrong date 2nd time, after I already traveled 4 hours to be there they called me an hour before my appointment to tell me EVERYBODY was sick and no one could prepare food, the caterer ended up spilling the beans talking about she was on some show and had to fly out that week. She served all the food on one plate and gave my planner the wrong time for the meeting so food had to warmed up, wasn't hot and was served like we fixed our own plate for Christmas dinner. Everybody still had food left on their plate by the end I wanted to cry because the food wasn't what I expected. The did reimburse me $200, which Andrew the manager stated he thought was fair after I had to ultimately go down there 3 times for one tasting so late in the game that I was forced to choose that catering company. The food the day of was ok. But who wants to have such a terrible time just to taste 6 dishes for 4 people? Dj David-Pumped up Entertainment was unresponsive for a minute but we ended up getting it right and he was wonderful once we made contact. He accommodated all my requests, played all the songs I asked for in the order I asked and stayed energized the whole night. The speaker mic did go in and out during the ceremony (just something to keep in mind to mention or make sure you rehearse if you use him) but overall great experience with him. Didn't use the cake company they provided because the venue only gives you 2.50$ per slice for how many people you have and the company couldn't do the cake we wanted for less that $600 so I found one who could. The venue itself is beautiful. Perfect for small gatherings. Everything turned out great. The day of I didn't have any issues, that I know of, LOL. The helpers and staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend but you have to stay on top of things and have back ups.l so you want have a headache so close to the event. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. This venue has the potential to be fabulous and it really is a hidden gem but due to poor management and upkeep, I doubt it will be open much longer. Despite some of the already suspect reviews prior and good faith, my best friend chose to get married here a few weeks ago and had it not been for a coordinator and event planner she hired additional and her family and friends, her day could've easily been ruined. The venue was sold as ALL inclusive, high end, state of the art. What we received was low budget, DIY, no management, "I found this on Amazon"! For the amount of money paid, an amateur could have done better! I am not sure if this is a direct reflection of covid struggles or the new management but they need major changes if they plan to stay in business. If they were not equipped to handle a wedding party of 150+ people and/or of the magnitude requested by the the bride, that should have been stated months ago when the contract was signed and they should have respectfully declined to participate. The food was 1star (the cocktail hour food was noted by guest to be ice cold and the ceremony food was uncooked, but the salad was good), the liquor was bottom of the barrel (the signature drinks were missing), the decor was subpar (the outside event planner hired had to decorate by herself and bring in several pieces to pull the outside and inside space together when all of the decor was suppose to be included), the staff was either missing in action or unprofessional (unresponsive prior to the day, and blatantly rude after the day when contacted to discuss all the issues from the day of). The grounds for the outside ceremony was unkept (leaves everywhere, lighting terrible, dirty decor), the staff which was already limited were not in uniform (one of the servers had pink hair, PINK HAIR AT A FORMAL EVENT), no tissue in the bathrooms, the bridal suit had no air (portable air machine but it was not turned on or connected prior to us arriving) , the outside heaters which were paid for additionally were not turned on (it was 50 degrees and below that weekend), noticeable decor items were missing from the ceremony that were in the contract (chandeliers in the tree, lanterns down the aisle, etc), the draping and seats were dirty for the outside ceremony AND the inside reception. Whewwww, need I continue? If you made it this far, you already know to RUN. Do not stop at GO, collect your coins and go spend them elsewhere. RESPECTFULLY! read more

My wedding was back in April of 2016 and it truly went off without a hitch! I had intended on writing a review soon after the wedding but my father expectantly passed and I completely forgot my intensions. We used all of the vendors suggested except their photographer and I have to say they were excellent. I would absolutely refer Che'ne Rouge to anyone looking to get married in the metro Atlanta area. The lush garden inside of the beautiful barn truly encompassed my husband and I's style, him being a farmer and me being from the suburbs. The food, was outstanding and I am still getting compliments on having the best wedding food! We chose the chicken and waffles and the prime rib along with sweet mashed potatoes and regular potatoes, the spring salad, and a few appetizers. We also used Gwen to make our cake which was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the photo I gave her. The flowers were very beautiful, I wish I had been a little more specific with Nina of what I wanted but they were breath taking and do not have anything negative to say about her at all! The DJ's were great, I was a little nervous at first because they were a tad older than I expected but they did a fantastic job! From ceremony music to the exit music it was flawless. We also chose to have some live music on the back patio during the cocktail hour which was awesome! We used both bars, inside and outside which I know all of our guest enjoyed, but I would suggest Che'ne Rouge get a speaker for the back deck so that people outside can hear when the DJ announce things like toasts and the dances and such since the door joining the two areas has to stay closed. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is the woman we worked with Tracy, I'm not sure if she was considered a sales associate or coordinator but she was a little spacey and we found ourselves repeating what we thought had already been finalized but it was all ironed out, so that's fine. Now the day of coordinator who was someone different ( she did the rehearsal and day of) was super disorganized and honestly seemed a little over her head. For the rehearsal she was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt which just felt very underdressed for a rehearsal. I honestly can't remember what she wore on the wedding day, so I imagine it was better since I do not remember it. But the rehearsal was the only time during the wedding planning that I got a little frustrated because I felt like she didn't know what she was doing at all. But it all turned out fine and I was able to explain to David the DJ who came to the rehearsal, what I wanted and he spoke with her and got it all sorted out for us! Thanks David! But over all I would say it was a seamless night and I wish I could relive it! Bonnie is an absolute gem and it was a pleasure working with her and the rest of the staff. Chene Rouge was an excellent venue for our wedding and everyone gave us plenty of compliments about the venue and that everything was well organized and flowed well. Chene rouge offers packages that include a Dj, florist, caterer, wedding coordinator and photographer. We used all vendors except the photographer. I broke down my thoughts on each item below. Venue: The venue is well kept and I love the garden and reception hall. There is an additional patio for guest to hang out and a new addition of a photo booth room. Only complaint was that the grooms lounge was warm and the guys were uncomfortable. They were not in there long so it worked out great. They have even started building a rain pavilion that looks beautiful for future weddings that need a Rain Plan B. Contracts with Venue: I did like the listing of prices that was given to us in a packet form. I will say closer towards the big day, contract details started to get confusing. Chene had changed prices from the original contract so I had to compare the two and remind them of the prices we originally agreed to. I will recommend anyone doing a contract with Chene should review them thoroughly because several prices changed on us, however It was no issue to get the originally prices agreed. One suggestion for Chene is that It would have been very helpful to get an itemized invoice of everything that outlines the exact pricing, since there are several additional add-on fees (optional items you can add such as chandeliers, chargers, etc.). We had a bit of confusion and ended up overpaying. Food: Food was excellent; Gwen does a great job preparing all the food. We got compliments on the food and how tasty it was. Florist: The florist did an excellent job and her pricing is very reasonable. We have started recommending Nina to friends because her flowers came out perfect. DJ: The DJs did a great job and were very organized. They play music from guest entrance all the way to the big exit of the bride and groom. Would recommend. Wedding coordinator: Chene Rouge offers a wedding coordinator with their package. Our planner was Allison and she was excellent! She gave us the step by step throughout the day. This wedding venue and it's staff are absolutely dissatisfying to say the least. I was just in a wedding that was held here and was utterly shocked at the events, or lack there of, that occurred. When hosting a wedding, you are to completely take care of your featured couple and their guests, but, quite frankly, they added more stress to their day and even after. The contact that was signed and agreed upon between both parties was not honored by the venue, from missing rose petals down the isle that were $200 and broken heaters that cost $450 to the power going out during the cocktail hour in which cold food was served along with incorrect signature drinks - and SO MUCH more. Furthermore, the venue was paid to provide decorations but failed to do so to the extent that the wedding planner had to locate and attempt to supply as much as possible the day of and on her own dime. Needless to say, the bride acted professionally and decided to contact the staff after the wedding in which she received nothing short of a distasteful, rude, and unacceptable response by being hung up on repeatedly, yelled at, and blocked after requesting communication on several attempts via email, telephone and Zoom conference calls. Needless to say, I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND booking here even if it was the last available venue remaining for your desired date! read more

Our first meeting to our last goodbye was completed in an organized manner and without a hitch. As a busy bride, I didn't have much time to fuss over tiny details, but I didn't need to worry...my planner Shirelle and our house hostess covered all of that for me. So my fiancé and I booked this venue last year for our wedding. The venue is stunning. We worked with one lady who got fired and then we shuttled around to four other people. When planning a wedding and having to basically start over each time there is a staffing change makes things even more stressful. I understand that things happen and staff turnover can be beyond your control, however, management was not at all interested in attempting to make thing right. It is a family ran business but don't let the old reviews fool you because they have new owners. They own Bullocks Springs as well so look at those reviews. So through a ton of tears and trying to work things out the owner finally met with me. Come to find out they own the flower shop they require you to use unless you elect to pay more. They also represent that you are getting catered food when In fact it is just the owners wife doing the cooking. They want to charge me $38 a head but if I elect to choose my own caterer they will only credit me $13 a head. So we had already put $3500 down, and yes the contract says no refunds, but I was willing to work with the facility and give it a try. Or at least be able to get some sort of refund out of good faith by the owners. Well all attempts were denied and we lost our money but it is what it is. It was a case of basically take It or leave and lose every dime, which I did. If you are looking at this place to get married, RUN. Or at least be sure to carefully review and negotiate your contract ahead of time before signing. There is no working with them after the fact. That is, unless of course you enjoy lack of communication and unorganized planning. read more

If I could give zero stars I honestly would just based off the inconsistent communication, lack of staffing, the awful presentation of the dinner and the very POOR customer service. As a paying customer of your venue, a bride should be able to sit down with the owner(s) and debrief about what was not fulfilled on her big wedding day! However, the owners were not receptive to the critique from the bride and now unfortunately that has landed her bridal party here to express our concerns to the public. :) The food was horrendous! Tasted nothing like what we indulged in at their food tasting day. The food at the cocktail hour which was a taco bar was icecicle cold, nothing was out to keep the food nice and warm & enjoyable for the guests. Then the food for the dinner..Tuh! The chicken was not thoroughly cooked, may I ALSO add the server had a blue cooler sitting visibly in a chair behind her storing the additional food that needed to be replaced , can we say TACKY!?!. Moving forward to the cocktails, the signature drinks were not what was chosen by the bride and groom, and also the "bartenders" could've NOT been licensed professionals. As they were pouring shots of liquor into a glass half full, causing the liquor that was purchased to run out swiftly. I truly hate such a beautiful night was ruined by these minor details that could've made that leg work of this night to run so much smoother, and cause less work for the maid of honors along with wedding planner to be catching the interceptions of mishaps all night based off the disorganization of your venue. And another thing, seems like this venue has trouble with accepting accountability based off a long rebuttal I see to a paying customer's review! I was a groom that had his wedding here. I can tell you all you need to know. 1. Bonnie and her crew really do try to make sure they accommodate you in the best way they can. My wife and I paid for our own wedding, and of all the venues we looked at this venue was the only venue that was willing to take a chance on us and work with us to getting it paid for. That was a huge huge plus and greatly appreciated. 2. The facility is kind of all over the place as far as the exterior is concerned, you have a white structure building with a random tree house in a court-yard, you have a red barn as the entrance to the facility and a beautiful outdoor garden spot for a ceremony. The inside is immaculate and very pretty, you really do get a great venue for the price. So why did I give it 3 stars? As beautiful as the venue was, Chene- Rouge was not entirely what it advertised on their site. They market themselves with "no hidden fees" but there are a number of fees that I would consider to be hidden from the contracted price. One being the taste testing, you're going to have to pay for that, but they don't tell you this when going over the contract nor is it on their site. We bought at the time, what was their "all inclusive" package which was supposed to provide us with access to all the decorations, but when the final consultation came, we learned that certain things would cost us extra. They strong arm you into using their sparklers, and forbid the use of anything else typically used in a send-off other than sparklers and bubbles. They added on a pavilion deck to their ball room, this was supposed to be completed by April... our wedding was in September and it was still not complete. They had scaffolds scattered around the deck and saddle work benches standing and buckets out side of it so it would be the first thing people saw when driving up. So I had my groomsmen move these things out of sight since they didn't take upon themselves to do it. The vendors were great to work with. The DJ's are awesome and will do whatever you want or need, the photographer is super nice and really wants to give you memorable photos. The caterer is nice and did a great job with the food we got a lot of compliments on that.The florist is really difficult to work with and not the most professional person in the world, but I couldn't argue with her work because the flowers turned out great, she's just difficult to get in touch with and is very opinionated about how YOUR wedding flowers should be. We did have one snag on the wedding day which was ants got into my grooms cake, outside of making sure keeping a watchful eye for things like that, nothing anybody could have done about that. My advice to future bridal parties, its a wonderful place and will provide you with a wonderful wedding, just don't buy into the hype they build on your tour, we were told that we would have full access to decor and if they didn't have it then they would go and get it... no they won't. We were told no hidden fees, but on contract day we saw nothing but hidden fees. For instance to get ready (hair & makeup) in the bridal suit would be an additional $400.00 ...they say they charge this in the event anything gets ruined, but they don't refund it to you if nothing gets ruined AND they have a security fee of $500.00 for that sole purpose so really the $400.00 is just another way for them to get money. Don't be surprised if they try to change the rules with updated policy and procedures mid-way through your contract. They really do make their best effort to give you the best wedding you can have, they just have internal issues and need improvement administratively. Though there were some definite headaches to deal with, my wife and I had a great wedding and everyone really enjoyed themselves. read more

I was a guest at a company Christmas party being celebrated at Chene Rouge in Hiram, GA last Friday evening. This was the second consecutive year they booked at this venue. Last year, under different ownership, the event was a huge success. This year, however, was a disaster. The new owner made it quite clear they had no idea how to cater to a large crowd and worse, would take zero responsibility for their failure. The bar was under-stocked and under-staffed, the liquor selection and quantity was insufficient, there was zero red wine and they ran out of beer within thirty minutes. There were no plates or silverware at the buffet when they began serving and there was not enough food. Only about a third of the guests made it through the line when they began running out of food and many did not get to eat at all. The staff was discourteous, unhelpful and disinterested. While waiting in line for the bar (nearly thirty minutes), I had the displeasure of standing beside the door to the kitchen. Each time the door would open I would be engulfed by the stench of thick cigarette smoke. I could hardly believe the owner would allow the staff to smoke inside the facility, let alone in the kitchen. When the owner demanded payment of the balance due, he was told he would receive no such payment. At that point the entire party was told they needed to leave. A company Christmas party, organized months in advance for employees and their families, cut short because of the inability of the new facility owner and staff to manage the venue. The owner should have done everything possible to make things right for the client, but instead showed a lack of couth. The owner chose to demonstrate to almost 200 people in his immediate market, why that venue is one to avoid. The facility is beautiful, but the owner makes it an ugly choice for any event. read more

If you see a 5 star review, more than likely it was before there was a change in ownership/management. We had a wonderful experience a year ago but last night, well that was another story. The staff was rude and completely unapologetic for their shortcomings. Who hosts an even that has been planned months in advance and forgets plates and silverware? Chene Rouge, that's who. They had to go to Walmart to get plastic plates and mismatches plastic flatware. Wine and beer bar? Sure, but no wine available. Specialty drink? Yeah, but missing one of the 3 ingredients. Ran out of food, almost all of their alcohol and then shut our party down, forced us out hours before our event was supposed to end. If you're reading this RUN, not WALK away! I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding held at Chene Rouge. From the time we arrived the day of the wedding, everything went incredibly wrong. The venue is gorgeous, however it was not decorated as noted by the bride in the contract. The private wedding planner had to provide decorations that should have been included since the venue markets itself as "all inclusive". Their staff are very inattentive. The bridal party had to track down employees for basic needs such as toilet paper. They overall lacked professionalism, attention to detail and willingness to make my best friend's wedding perfect. At no point should there be signs with higherlighter writings on scraps of paper for guests, coolers in open areas containing food, uncooked chicken. these are only a few grievance, the list could go on. The staff was notified of such issues on the day of with plan to follow up later as the the voided the contract by having missing items. Upon discussion with wiener, they were inconsider and became hostile with attempts at reconciliation. Like I said RUN, not WALK away from this venue. read more

The only person I would recommend this place to would be my enemy, just because I would enjoy to watch their event crumble in front of their eyes and then get ridiculed for being upset from the company's incompetence. Need plates? They forgot them. Need alcohol for all of your guests? They will begin running out before your guests can even get their second drink. Oh, and you wanted wine? Sorry, they don't have any. The specialty drink of the night? We don't have any of the ingredients...yet. And when they get the liquor for it there is no juice, so sorry but still no specialty drink. And just to top it off, the staff had terrible attitudes the whole night and didn't care who knew. I was not even a coordinator of any kind for this event. But as a normal guest, I could see the sheer incompetence and lack of preparation they had. They were like a bunch of pissed off chickens with their heads cut off just snapping about anything that was asked of them. If I had a close friend tell me they were getting married there...I would give them the money that they would lose on the deposit and tell them to look elsewhere. read more

I had my wedding there in July. Prior to the wedding communication was smooth, not so at all after the wedding. On the day of, serious points of disappointment and quite frankly extreme dissatisfaction were the manner how the bar was run and the subsequent exorbitant bar tab as a result; the lack of consideration, dismissiveness and ostensibly renegade actions of the DJ, David M; and finally the inexplicable unwillingness of the management staff to return continuous nearly daily, phone calls to discuss these issues. Towards the end of the reception it was evident that the extensive musical playlist was not being adhered to and that the DJ was taking many un-granted liberties in his song selection. At that point I approached him and inquired about the Caribbean music, which was on the prepared playlist, but was noticeably absent during the reception. He responded that the reception was about to end and there is only time for a few more songs, in a very dismissive manner. The Caribbean music was included to accommodate the friends and family members who would have travelled thousands of miles to attend the wedding. Then to add insult to injury one of the bridesmaids approached him shortly thereafter and made a random song request, which he to my utter disbelief accommodated. Chene exceeded our expectations. Everything was beautiful from the decor, building, and the atmosphere. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional from Jesse the photographer to Gwen for the food to David the DJ and especially Allison the coordinator. Allison was extremely helpful and sweet. She was a gem. She was there Step by step and guided us through everything. I would definitely recommend this venue. You will not be disappointed. read more

On August 9, 2015 we held our dream wedding at Chene Rouge. It exceeded our expectations in ways we could never have imagined. Every intricate detail was planned with key contribution from "the gals" (Bonnie "Bon" and Tracy). From inception we discussed all the package options that were available and went with the option that allowed us to utilize all of their preferred vendors (Jesse Garrett Photography (Jesse), G & W Catering (Gwen), DJ's-2-Go (David) and A Perfect Wedding (Gail-Florist). We contracted at a specific amount and that is all we paid. There were no hidden fees or unexplained charges after the fact which allowed us to stay within our budget. Everything we were promised we received and some. We had access to various centerpieces, table decor and the entire facility. The two bridal suites were spacious and each had their on restrooms. Bonnie met with us as often as we requested right up until the day of the wedding. She treated us as if we were the only couple that mattered. Every vendor went above and beyond to make sure our day was special and made recommendations whenever possible based on their experiences. This helped us to make decisions quickly and minimize spending unnecessary time on concepts that wouldn't work with the venue. Our wedding coordinator (Rachel) was fabulous given that we had so many activities planned during our ceremony and reception. She held herself to an impeccable standard as she had to cater to two brides and made sure we each had all of our needs were met. The amount of running back and forth she did was incredible. She made sure that everyone participating in any aspect of our day was cued at the right times. The gals made sure all our guests stayed hydrated as it was an extremely hot and humid day. Jesse captured all the photo moments we requested and many that had us speechless. Gail prepared such an exquisite meal that our guest had multiple plates. One of our guests requested two bags of wings be kept aside strictly for us because they were such a hit during cocktail hour. In addition, to-go boxes were prepared for us so that we could eat later upon our hotel arrival. And yes we enjoyed every bit of it the next day! David our DJ made sure every song we requested for the ceremony and reception was played in its specific order. We had different songs being played for our bridal party reception entrance, surprise performances with special music and a singer for the ceremony. David made sure to go over every detail so that he didn't miss a beat. Our wedding at Chene Rouge was beautiful and completely reflected the vision I had in mind when I started planning. Throughout the whole planning process we were treated like family and the facility was decorated beautifully for our special day. The gorgeous pecan tree located at the ceremony site provided the prefect outdoor wedding shade for our guests and set the perfect scene for the outdoor wedding we'd always dreamed about. The facility was decorated beautifully from the inside out and the bridal suite alone made me feel like the princess I wanted to be that day. We can't thank Chene Rouge enough for all they did to make our wedding day so incredibly special. You must put Che'ne on your list of MUST SEE'S! Other garden wedding venues did not have shade for the guests. My mother wore a pants suit in the middle of June, and she was not even sweating! I was supposed to have my wedding in October. I had to change the date, I was told that was fine and changed it to April 9th. A few days later I got a emailed saying that it will be 1,000$ to change the date. I called and then she said April 9th was now taken and I decided to go with April 30th. But it will be 500$ just to hold my spot then I asked her why she said 1,000 before she forgot to tell me that it's 500$ to move the date and 500$ because my wedding would be in the new year. I find this very ridiculous. I told her to cancel my wedding and I would like my deposit back well guess what? It's non-refundable!!!!! She told me to look at my contract and it will tell me. I'm mad because we personally went over the contract together and she went over everything (it seemed like) but she never told me my money wasn't refundable or that if I move the date it would be 1,000$ I feel like they should have went over all of that with me so I would have known from the beginning now I'm out of 1,000$ and a wedding venue!! read more

When I found Che'ne Rouge, I fell in love with the beauty of the place. I liked the idea of everything being packaged together (i.e. all vendors and services). What we soon realized was that although we purchased the largest package available at the time, the Grande Fare, it was far from all inclusive. We ended up spending thousands over the package price on flowers, food, centerpieces, and for the coordinator. You would think that with the Grande Fare you would get more than one dinner selection, but you don't. We paid extra to have fish and beef. We paid extra because we had more than 3 attendants for flowers. We had to provide our own centerpieces. We had to pay $200 for the wedding coordinator to be there to help us the day of get everyone down the isle. I asked the coordinator to please set up my guest book, candles, favors, ect. She said it would be an additional charge. So I had a family member come early to set things up. They charge you extra to come earlier than 1 hour before your ceremony starts. I felt so rushed to throw my dress on and hurry to start pictures, which we only ended up having about 30 minutes to do before the ceremony. I felt so so so rushed and frustrated at the beginning of the wedding. Not till after dinner did I finally feel like I could relax and enjoy my wedding. Then at the end of the night, unbeknownst to me or my parents, on top of paying hundreds of dollars on top of our bar tab to have bartenders and a security guard, they added themselves a $250 tip at the end of the night. I was livid when I saw the bill. I was not prepared for the extra money. I feel that the people at Che'ne Rouge nickled and dimed me to death. It is a beautiful venue and my wedding was lovely, but I really felt deceived and taken advantage of. If you book here don't be fooled by the sticker price. You will come out of pocked MUCH more than what they first tell you when you sit down to sign on. Beware. read more
