I had been to PJ's in Madisonville LA 7 years ago and that location was good so I tried this one. Very clean and orderly. Inside did not have a list of their seasonal drinks. Luckily they had some of the gelato offerings available downtown and one of the owners/workers was so kind and guided me there. Later the store was open again and they made an effort to let me know I was free to sit there. I almost went in just to get more gelato, but I held myself back. I opted for the seasonal bourbon pecan, and it was delightful. It felt like fall in a cup. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and it tasted very natural. The flavors were somehow strong but subtle in the best of ways. At a staff suggestion, I paired it with the chocolate, which was an absolute stellar of a staple. The size of the piccolo was perfect. The gelato was some of the best I ever had. And the staff were absolutely excellent. As my Bestie says, the whole experience was absolutely worth an Instagram photo shoot.
