Dr. Michael Borah is one of the leading physicians in this field and he is your man! He is also a primary care physician at California Pacific Medical Center on the East Campus (2100 Webster). I was referred to Dr. Borah after I had experienced a whole chartful of problems (later, I learned it was acute anemia from my kidneys shutting down). He handled my care with immediate and safe attention to my ailment. Instead of a blood transfusion for my anemia, he personally injected me with Procrit every month until my condition improved. If you ever have a kidney problem or an urinary tract infection (UTI) for example, check with him. Dr. Borah has a very professional demeanor, but for some unknown reason, he reminds me of "Jack Benny" - the nuance, the stare????

At first, my impression with Dr. Borah was that he was too into drugs as therapy and not open minded to alternative solutions. I come to realize that he is conservative when it comes to drug treatment, but sometimes that's what has to happen to preserve what kidney function I had remaining. He never prescribes meds too early or too much, likes to be very conservative is the impression I get. I had a total hip replacement surgery which could easily crash my kidney and after surgery, Dr. Borah visited me every other day to see how I was doing. We did our best, my kidneys did progressively get worst after my hip surgery and we are now waiting on a donor transplant. Luckily, no dialysis just yet... I seem to holding out very well dispute while waiting on a transplant. I can update this review after my transplant. But in the meantime, I highly recommend Dr. Borah for his expertise with the kidneys.

He had the best side manners when both my wife and I spoke to him about the transplant program. My transplant match exchange came through 2yrs later in 2016 and I've been 8yrs clear and doing well. There was an 18 month up and down period before stabilizing but since end of 2018, it's been been living on borrowed time. I was fortunate to have 3 or 4 friends volunteer to donate a kidney to me but all ended not the best candidates. On after transplant surgery and since that the pandemic, I have been lucky to have follow-up semi-annual video visits with Dr Katznelson on half the visits. He is always so positive at each visit. I just had brain surgery Tuesday and he stopby Thursday to see how I was doing and glad he did. It was a refresh for a very exhausting 2 days. He did remember me, it was nice when he first walked in, gave me a firm handshake and said "finally nice to meet you in person, we've only met virtually." So that made me feel nice when people actually remember you! He sat and gave me a lot of information I didn't have. He even confirmed some false information I was given a while back. So now that I have the real info, I'll be doing what I can with it. He was patient and answered all my questions. Great doctor! Highly recommend him to anyone!

In the end, apparently, all I got was "hot air" instead of AIR - Accountability, Integrity, Responsibility - NONE of which seem to exist at this organization. They don't deserve ANYONE'S business!!!

He was told that the appointment was 330 but he should arrive 15 minutes earlier so that he could fill out his paperwork and go over some forms and documents. We arrived at the location at 2905 Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley at 2:45. When he arrived the medical receptionist immediately had him fill out forms documents copy of ID and medical card etc. She was done with his paperwork by 3 o'clock. Mind you once again that is appointment was not until 3:30 PM and it is now 3:00 PM!! I am sure that there were other patients ahead ofHim and we understood this since he was early! We understood and understand that just because you arrive at the doctors office early the doctors and nurses still have other patients that can be scheduled before you since you did arrive early. Mind you once again that we arrived at 2:45 PM it is now 430 and my husband has literally been sitting in the doctors office for over an hour and the doctor has not seen him. I don't know if he is out skiing, at the casinos, on a coffee break, in a meeting with someone, forgot about my husbands appointment but its really bad for business on a first person visit that a doctor would hold you up for one hour without seeing a new patient or an Old patient for that matter. I will be making absolutely sure that he never comes here again and if your time is money I would suggest that you look for another doctor as well. Not is it only rude, it is 100% ridiculous to waste any persons time like this. If you can't see a patient until 430 then dammit make the appointment at 4:30.

Dr. Mrgudich is my PCP, he referred me to the nephrologists. I refused because I believe no Drs could work better than Dr. Mrgudich for my situation. He spared no efforts to help me ,encourages me to fight my diseases. He's so patient, warm, very carefully consider my prescription. Finally, my microalbumin of urine decreased from 1800 to 200, eGFR and serum creatinine are improved as well. His manner and excellent service is always greatly appreciated.

I've been going to Dr. Lynch for about 10 years as well. When my general practitioner (Dr. Gross) retired we were referred to Dr. Lynch. Man rocks the house. This doctor is awesome. He has always made time for me and everyone in his office is FANTASTIC. They are courteous and timely and just fantabulous. For someone I see once a year (supposedly... erp.) totally worth the trek over from the East Bay. Even when I didn't have insurance I would come and see this man and pay good money. Late last year, I learned I needed prostate surgery…read more One of my other physicians recommended Golden Gate Urology to perform the surgery. I selected Dr. Daniel Oberlin, of the practice. I can not recommend Dr. Oberlin highly enough. He is very considerate, kind, and very sensitive to the specific needs of his patients. Dr. Oberlin took as much time as necessary to thoroughly discuss available surgery options and provide valuable insight regarding the appropriate procedure for each of his patients. Dr. Oberlin recognized my anxiety and did everything possible to minimize it, both before and after the surgery. Because the need for surgery occurred late in 2023, I was unable to get an appointment for the procedure until this year. Crystal, one of the staff who is truly an angel sent to Earth, saw to it that my catheter was changed frequently for cleanliness and to minimize the risk of infection. Everyone in the practice, from Dr. Oberlin, his assistant Danielle Shanahan, Crystal, the wonderful front office, and the scheduling team actually made me look forward to appointments. This includes post-surgery follow-up appointments. Huge mega kudos to the entire staff of Golden Gate Urology, Inc. Should you require the services of a urological practice, I can not conceive of a finer team who work as well together as Golden Gate Urology Inc.

However the patient himself only states that he gets up once or twice at night. In addition, the patient is not terribly bothered by his nocturia. The daughter does not wake up with patient when he has to go to the bathroom. ... that is not actually bothersome to the patient." (I showed my hand count 6 times on 10/8/2025 to Dr Barme, I stayed up to 3am, and count the rest with baby monitor alarm.) What's is the definition of bothersome? If it doesn't bother my dad, he doesn't need to get up. This is totally ridiculous to me. If my 92 years dad need my help to got to bathroom every single time at night, he should use diapers instead. He's still good mobility that's why he should seek for help. Finally, I paid for the subscription with video recordings and daily counts. I changed to SutterHealth Urology at Fremont (an hour drive). I showed the recording to new office and explained the situation. I only see PA. They trusted me. They made medication changed and add generic (low cost, not $600 Gemtesa) overactive bladder medicine. About 3 week, he get up 4 times recently and only REAL twice last night.
