Fresh hot food. Onion ring were cooked when ordered. It appeared to be a whole onion. Yum! Servings were generous. The small fried fish was three fillets. Hot, tender and flakey. The chicken livers serving was enough for four meals if you are a large eater. Highly recommend and will return and share a meal. read more

My daughter said she had been told Chen's had the best fried chicken in Breaux Bridge. The chicken was tender, juicy, and not greasy. The portion are generous for the price and includes a choice if 2 sides. Sadly, there was a complete lack of seasoning and taste was bland and completely lacking salt. second visit, I tried the fish plate. Again, perfectly fried with great portions but bland!. 3rd visit I decided to try a favorite Chinese dish, Gen TSO chicken with side of fried rice. Both were almost inedible. Chicken was so dried out, hard, and overcooked, I couldn't even chew it. Fried rice contained no vegetables of any kind and only 3 tiny shrimp. Again,a total lack of any kind of seasoning. FABULOUS meal with friends! Chen's was our choice for a first time evening meal together with friends: 4 world travelers, and a famous Southwest Louisiana Restauranteur were in our group. 6 out of 6 meals were awesome!!! My Chen's Combination Seafood Platter of fried fish, oysters and shrimp on a bed of shrimp fried rice was cooked to perfection, crispy, juicy, and so perfectly seasoned! I'm so glad their portions are huge, too! Others had fried shrimp dinners, and a Chinese Sweet and Sour Chicken dinner. Ambiance is super simple and casual, almost like a fast food restaurant. But, Chen's fried seafood is some of the best I've ever had... at about 1/3 the cost of a major city! Six of us ate amazingly well for less than $60!!! Definitely a keeper! read more

Looking for rude employees and owners, cheap,horrible food BUT a lot for cheap this is the place for you. It's not until you order $74 worth of to go food do they say bye bye thank you. They have general tso chicken, sesame chicken, less than mediocre. Lo Mein noodles, spaghetti noodles with onions and shrimp. Everytime my husband and I take a trip to Breaux Bridge we gotta order out at Chen Seafood. There food is so good and they always serve good sized portions so you really bang for your buck. Their customer service is great and their timing to get everything ready is pretty adequate. We'd recommend Chen Seafood 100%. read more

I am writing this to inform others. This is a great place for food. Service is slow, and being that the owners and workers do not speak English as their first language they may come off rude. For the money you cannot beat the portions. Chicken sandwich was awesome as well. Shrimp poboy? You will be eating the extra shrimp by themselves. Good food for a cheap price what more could you ask for. I see others who complain about the customer service. Ummm didn't you notice they speak very little English. Heck for the savings I get there are worth it. In my experience I have always gotten a thank you from any of them though regardless of the amount. Worst part is the wait. When you order there it can take a long time. During the COVID-19 issue they have actually shortened their wait times. read more

I got the grilled seafood patter, quite delightful. The sizes of the ship were okay, nothing to talk about. I got rice, given the options, rice or fries. The rice with well done. The mini "salad" was fine, and the sauces are very good. Overall, a great meal. read more
