I went to pull it out of the box and it was way heftier than I was expecting. Probably the bet hot dog I've ever had. I also ordered cheese fries. The fries were fresh and homemade, the cheese sauce was okay- not the most amazing cheese sauce I've ever had, but still good. Portion was decent as well. The wait was a bit longer than I expected for a food truck, the food line (after orders) was about 5 people waiting. I would love to see some type of daily special.

We arrived late, the owner of the food truck was getting ready to leave; however, when we expressed our interest in placing an order, he kindly waited for us. He is extremely polite, respectful, and friendly, and shows how much he appreciates his customers! The food was equally impressive! My husband and I had the Billy Cheesesteaks - they (including the sides) were absolutely delicious! Our friends got the spicy humus (habanera humninus) with chips and the cajun chicken and we were all licking our fingers by the time we wolfed down our meal. The dishes 'screamed' of fresh ingredients and well thought out planning. Absolutely delicious - we will become frequent flyers, and encourage you all to try it, as you will surely love it!

There are few relationships more meant to be than a beer and a tasty burger. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu. There was lots of options to build your own burger with a variety of cheeses and topping, but we decided to order one of their signature offerings. I can't say no to a patty melt and I was intrigued by their twist of sriracha thousand island dressing. The burger was cooked well and placed on top of a texas toast style bread. I missed the traditional rye that comes with patty melt, but only for a second. The flavors were really great, and the onions were cooked perfectly. The slight spice from the sriracha was a brilliant addition! We also ordered a side of seasoned crinkle cut fries. While they are just frozen fries, they are really well seasoned and came with a little cup of ranch dressing. Our entire meal was really tasty, and the third pound burger and fries were perfectly sized for my husband and me to share with our beers. What was even better than the food was the service. They were friendly when I ordered and the owner made it a point to bring our food to our table. Throughout the evening he roamed the tables to make sure their food was great. He clearly cares about the quality of the food he serves and the experience that it offers. I will certainly keep my eyes out for this food truck while out and about!

The calendar is on the web page. But why chase bad BBQ. This wood pellet (Traeger) grill smoked BBQ is dry. The smoke flavor is light to the point of being almost non-existent. The rub is okay, but when a brisket is this dry it's just not worth eating. The other meats are okay. The pork is probably the best thing, and it's just good not great. The ribs were okay too. The sides are about the only reason this has two stars instead of one. The mac and cheese is tasty and well made. The beans are good. Look, I don't write any reviews less than three stars and few less than four stars unless I have visited a place multiple times. Any place can have an off day, and I hate giving lower reviews to small businesses. But this is just NOT good BBQ. And, yes, I know a bit about BBQ, with deep roots in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Italy. I've cooked many briskets. Many. With wood. Cooked many pork butts and ribs. Tons. And so has my family (I have two relatives in the Dallas area who cater BBQ). So, this is not an area where I have no experience. Oh, and don't snicker at Italy in the list. How did your whole goat cooked in a dirt pit turn out? How about that whole pig you cooked? Yeah. Thought so. Sorry, Lloyd's. This is not great stuff. Dang. I wish it were.

I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.

That said, their chicken wing rub was very sweet and I was expecting a spicy rub. The pork ribs were good. The bologna tasted like hotdogs honestly. The sourdough bread wasn't really sour, it just tasted like regular white bread. Of the sauces, our favorites were Tennessee Red and Spicy mixed together; and we found that by mixing them together, it tasted closer to what we were used to. They still had a bit of an aftertaste that we couldn't quite place. I loved their cute store and their service was amazing! I told them about my egg allergy while ordering and was promised everything would be egg free. We had gotten the bacon burger with sauce that looked very similar to thousand island dressing, and the restaurant made it right by making us a brand new one, while profusely apologizing. We understand that there may be a little bit of cross-contamination, but the dressing on the burger was more than cross-contamination. The lady who took our order told us there was nothing on the burger except for burger, bacon and cheese, and then asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the side. I asked specifically about the condiments and she said they don't put any condiments on their burgers. The bathrooms and store overall were very clean and very well kept. It felt like good small town America. If it weren't for the egg allergy sauce mixup, they would've gotten four stars.
