Everytime I booked an appointment I had to wait at least 10 minutes because they were unable to handle the lunchtime rush. All three times that I went in I needed to be informed of when my glasses/contacts had arrived at the store and they didn't contact me once. When "a few days" became two weeks I couldn't get through on the telephone to enquire, which was just another hassle. I won't be going back unless I have to!

Like many of the other branches, this branch offers a 30% discount for students (bring your ID card), though you need to get a pair worth above 75 pounds for the discount to apply, which was okay for me as I was looking for one in this range anyway (scratch-resistant treatment on the lens and all). The selection of glasses is reasonable, though if you tend to like a lot of choice, you may prefer to try a large branch elsewhere (especially for designer brands).

It's impossible not to be impressed by their service. They're just great - so friendly and professional and forthcoming and helpful, really incredible. They always call me half an hour before my appointment to remind me, which is good, because I'm the kind of person who'd forget. They're reasonably priced compared to other opticians (so my optician friend tells me). Also, being an independent, family-run business they are not forced to use particular brands of e.g. contact lenses, which is common for the big branches. That means they really will get you what is best for you.

Making an appointment was quick and easy and I didn't have to wait long. The optician I saw was very friendly and professional, and I felt that my treatment was in good hands. The store is easy to find and conveniently located with disabled access to the consultation rooms. I would be happy to visit again.

On my most recent visit, all the staff were really nice and very helpful, and very thorough. In the past, I have had a few problems over payments, but these have been resolved. Their glasses are not the cheapest, but my current partner has lost me for years, which has to be taken into account. Overall, I am very happy with the service here: if I had to make criticism, it is that each year the staff seem to change, so you do all the different person each time.

And no glaucoma screening. But my optometrist at Specsavers in Clapham Junction was great. And the eye exam price was incredibly competitive. The service of the rest of the staff was a bit "meh." I still haven't purchased glasses as the "up front" pricing was £90 less than the lenses my prescription requires. And that 2nd pair free offer? Yeah, doesn't include lenses. :( That and, even though I spelled it out to the gal at the register, both my first and last names were spelled wrong on my documents. Which is really ridiculous. Anyhow. I've had better. And I've had worse. I'm waiting for my trial contact lenses to arrive. Probably will go with the cheap frames I saw that I sort-of liked just to have a pair. paying nearly 4x the cost of frames to get lenses that aren't coke bottle-esque.
