I have previously popped in to check out…read moretheir glasses selection and deals, which all seem that the selection and prices are similar to other companies in the area, although glasses can be expensive generally. Being with Boots, though, I trust the brand. Most recently, I have had issues with older glasses (that I had bought elsewhere) with the screws coming out. When I was in a bind with one of my lenses falling out when I was at work and I needed the screw to be put back in, the staff were lifesavers to get me a new screw and put it back in for me! I really appreciated them being there for me when I needed them.

Luckily I found Auerbach & Steele. Over the telephone, A&S guided me through the process of obtaining a copy of my very unusal prescription from my US-based Ophthamologist and had a sample pack of my contact lenses ready for pick up within hours. Throughout multiple calls and finally the in-person pick up, the staff were professional, helpfula and kind. I cannot recommend anyone more highly than A&S.

So, I had a hell of a time finding a place that could do it locally. I happened to find these guys after scouting the optometrists in the area. Fortunately, they could do the service, which was a lifesaver as I didn't want to go back to Paris just for that! The staff here was amazingly helpful and patient as we sorted out what I needed. By the way, they also seemed to have a great selection of frames. I will definitely be back!

I ordered a frame online, automated purchase message said "we'll let you know when your order is on…read moreits way". A week later I messaged their customer service to get an update, no response. I tried the chat function on their website, no response. I sent a message on their facebook page, no response. After my second email to customer service they responded by saying "we'll let you know when it's on its way". I emailed back to ask them to specify if I should wait a day, a week or a month but of course nobody bothered to reply. There's no option to cancel the order so I'll have to talk to my credit card company to get my money back. I'm sure they're lovely people in the store but their online customer service is non-existent.

I came in here to buy some glasses with a pre-existing description. Was met by a lovely lady who…read morelet me browse but made it clear she was around to help. When she went off and I decided on my frames, this useless fella took my order. As is always the case the total cost came out a lot higher than I was expecting and it took the guy a while to break down the cost for me. He seemed fairly inexperienced, but the way he moved through the computer system made me think he's been there a while. He took my face measurements without telling me what he was doing, and signed off without telling me when my glasses would be in/how I would be contacted. All in all, not great customer service, although I think it might be down to the individual.

Yes, 40. and they say it is because they have a backlog. Like that is my problem. ! There are a lot of hidden costs that they don't tell you about. They say your lens test is free. It is not! It's for £35. it is only free if you are going to sign up for their direct debit scheme. Firstly, they make you wait because of their inefficiency, then you have to pay for such crappy service. The same lenses they prescribe are available cheaper in a lot of other stores. Will never go there again.
