It's very conveniently located between the two Hammersmith tube stations at the end of King Street. The staff were very pleasant when I arrived and I waited a few minutes before being seenn by the optician. He was jovial and good-humoured and the test was relaxed. This is good as I've had a problem in the past where I've been intimidated by the formality of eye exams and uncertain of how to answer and found myself trying to answer their questions with what I thought they wanted me to say rather than actually what I thought. My eyesight has actually improved. Boom! There was no problem using the voucher at the end of exam, again the staff were friendly and helpful. The range of frames is quite good, but I think too expensive as you can get better deals elsewhere - although the £50 voucher (again online) does make it considerably better.

I had gone to Boots Opticians last year and the experience was subpar. This was such a contrast! It's a family-owned business and they truly care about their clients. The team is highly responsive to follow-up questions as well. I had a very thorough optical exam that identified and addressed a somewhat dramatic change in my vision. The store looks good and is fairly clean, it has a nice selection of many of the items you would expect to find in the Boots, including beauty, cosmetics, toiletries, and a selection of over the counter and prescribed medications. It also has an Opticians which is pretty handy. It would be nice if they had more staffed counters, they really seem to be pushing self-service too, not great for the elderly! 4*

I walked past this shops so many times I forgot it was here and was drawn in by the promise of a discount. The lovely Indian couple who run the shop were extremely understanding and helpful - I kept returning with various friends before I finally settled on a style of frame and booked my appointment (I am sure you are supposed to have your prescription ready when you start looking for glasses ). I was extremely impressed that they remembered my name and very embarrassed that I don't remember theirs. I felt in good hands and pleased that I wasn't rushed through the examination. I now own a beautiful pair of glasses which I actually enjoy wearing. A rare fiend of a place where you still received good old-fashioned and very personal service. Highly recommended
