Our niece and her fiance are pescatarian, so Private Chef Charleston designed a delicious menu to delight them as well as our guests: beautiful shrimp, deviled eggs, seared tuna, pasta salad, grilled asparagus, delectable cheeses, brownie bites, key lime tarts, hot crab dip, and more. They offered a top-shelf full bar, but also set up dispensers of iced tea and Pimm's Cups, which were so refreshing for a summer party. They arrived at 3 pm to set up and my husband and I actually got to relax, get dressed, and enjoy the party! The cleanup was just as amazing--they packaged all the leftovers in our refrigerator and washed and dried every single platter, dish, and utensil. We are still receiving rave reviews from our guests and we can't wait to work with them again! We give Private Chef Charleston our highest recommendation!

Private Chef Charleston - Chef Patrick came to our home to cater Valentine's Dinner. Our meal did not disappoint as the steak and sea bass was seasoned perfectly.

Charleston Upper King Street Culinary Tour Guide: Georgia…read more 4 stops is pretty low for a food tour, especially since the last one was gelato. Our 3rd stop was a chicken quesadilla and tortilla chips with salsa and queso. I would never call that a "culinary experience". The mussels on the first stop was good but it was shared and some people are gross. A woman I was sharing with used the fork she ate off of to pick mussels out of our shared bowl AND double dipped her bread in the mussel juice. Individual small portions would've been better especially considering I traveled alone. I chose this company because it was local, when I typically use the same one, thinking it would've been the best. I was fooled. This was my least favorite food tour of all my travels. The others might be better. Stops & Food: 1. 39 Rue de Jean- mussels, bread, truffle fries, and brussel sprouts 2. Uncork Charleston - meatball (golf ball sized) 3. El Jefe Texican Cantina- chicken quesadilla, tortilla chips with queso and salsa 4. Tinto Café & Provisions- gelato

We have a couple of foodies in our crowd, and no one was disappointed! Two completely different menus were both delicious; and cooked to perfection with wonderfully complex flavors complementing but not overwhelming the high quality, fresh ingredients. As if that wasn't enough, Jessica is not only a talented cook, but also totally organized, making the preparation, delivery, and clean up look effortless. Highly recommended!! We had two under-sixes in the group as well, and dinner with JLOKitchens was so much more fun than hauling them out to a restaurant. Treat yourself! You'll be glad you did!

This was going to be my special gift to my best friend because she loves yoga and cooking. It was perfect. I made tank tops for all the bachelorettes to wear during yoga with cute yoga sayings on them. I went out of my way to get tables for the cooking class and everything. Two days before the event JLoKitchens confirmed that we would start at 930AM and then out of no where she cancelled the entire thing on me - yes, two days before the event. She stated she had been sick since Sunday but yet, didn't tell me then and therefore left me with no time to make plans. This was going to be the highlight of our weekend - she ruined it. She had told me that she was cooking, but a woman Tarah would be the yoga instructor. I said, I expect Tarah will still be there and that she can bring the food with her (and we'll just have to cook for ourselves). She wouldn't explain to me why Tarah was also suddenly available. As a professional, responsible business owner she should have had a back-up plan in place especially if she wasn't feeling well earlier in the week. Also, she never explained what happened to Tarah which leads me to believe she just dropped the ball and didn't book this despite us having been in communication for several months. She said sorry and refunded my deposit promptly but didn't fix the mess she created. It's not even about the money - I'm heartbroken that I won't be able to give my best friend this special gift and that we have such a bad experience associated with this weekend. If you're going to work with JLoKitchens you better have a back up plan.
