My mother and I started a tradition last year that every time we went to Europe, we would do some…read moresort of cooking class or workshop. We started off with a Macaroon workshop in Paris, and now the waffle workshop in Brussels. Not only is this workshop super affordable, but it's a blast and doesn't take up too much of your day. Prior to making waffles, you listen to a short presentation about waffles, including history and facts. Very interesting. You can choose to make a smaller or larger batch of batter, but who wouldn't want to make the larger?! The waffles were easy to make, following along with the recipe. Once they were done cooking, we could choose from a variety of different toppings including chocolate, strawberry, and cocoa sauce, peanut butter, Nutella, Biscoff spread, fresh strawberries, nuts, and more. This may be controversial, but these waffles were not as tasty as the ones you can find on the street. Don't get me wrong, they were delicious but they were missing something compared to the classic street waffle. Our instructor was absolutely precious and very helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Each person is served one drink to enjoy with their waffle. Aluminum foil is provided to take extra waffles home. Highly recommend this class. Loads of fun!
