My mother and I started a tradition last year that every time we went to Europe, we would do some sort of cooking class or workshop. We started off with a Macaroon workshop in Paris, and now the waffle workshop in Brussels. Not only is this workshop super affordable, but it's a blast and doesn't take up too much of your day. Prior to making waffles, you listen to a short presentation about waffles, including history and facts. Very interesting. You can choose to make a smaller or larger batch of batter, but who wouldn't want to make the larger?! The waffles were easy to make, following along with the recipe. Once they were done cooking, we could choose from a variety of different toppings including chocolate, strawberry, and cocoa sauce, peanut butter, Nutella, Biscoff spread, fresh strawberries, nuts, and more. This may be controversial, but these waffles were not as tasty as the ones you can find on the street. Don't get me wrong, they were delicious but they were missing something compared to the classic street waffle. Our instructor was absolutely precious and very helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Each person is served one drink to enjoy with their waffle. Aluminum foil is provided to take extra waffles home. It was my first time in Brussels and I wanted to eat fresh waffles . However I couldn't find a good place that sells waffles. I happen to find this class and sign my mom and I up . It was a ton of fun! They even able to teach me vegan recipe for my Dietary needs. Our waffles came out amazing. I was only able to eat 2 waffles but the experience was great! read more

Andreas was knowledgeable and passionate about waffles and Brussels. We started the tour with a quick and fun discussion about waffles around the world then a walk through alleyways to view waffles (and a quick stop at Mannequin Pis) on our way to the workshop. My family of 4 made a big patch of mix, baked on a high quality grill and topped with lots and lots of options! I ate 3 and skipped dinner!! ;) We shared the workshop with a young French couple which was fun. I'd recommend this workshop if you enjoy waffles and want a little hands on experience and fun knowledge to take home. read more
