Missy and Thyme Catering was punctual, professional, friendly and helpful. Missy and her team went above and beyond what was expected the day of the event. When balls were dropped (on the client's end), Missy herself was there to jump in and rectify the situation. In doing so, she took the stress off the client....."this is your day....relax and enjoy". I don't know any other catering service that would of been so supportive and accommodating. The food was lovely and delicious. Top notch! The buffet was beautifully displayed with a personal touch and creative flair. I attended a luncheon for a friend's book launch a few months ago and the food was really special. There were 3-4 delicious salads, each one better than the next, and completely different from each other. Nuts, crunchy veggies, crumbled cheeses, grains, etc. Not overly dressed. Just delicious. There were also other items like salmon, and small rolls with some sort of yummy beef. It was so good that I contacted the caterer, Chef Missy, to do a party I was planning for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. It was a luncheon at their house, and wow, was it great. Missy is a really warm person who is super easy to work with. You know right away she knows what she is doing, so you relax. She's the opposite of uptight. Very at ease, in control. Her judgement is excellent. She is very organized, and she puts together a phenomenal menu. Her staff are energetic and very experienced, and they all know each other and they work well together. "Hands down-most thoughtful and best birthday gift ever for this tired, outdoor socially distanced menu planner and meal prepper - a gourmet dinner cooked by Chef Missy and served by her and her assistant Max. From the no filler mini crab cake appetizer (amongst others) to the mushroom tasting first course to the freshest halibut and chicken with roasted plums entree....one morsel was better than the next. The salad dressed with the freshest honey balsamic was light and memorable. And the dessert? Pure chocolate decadence with vanilla gelato. My mouth is watering while writing this. Chef Missy proudly explained what we were eating as each item was served and she and Max were neat and clean and left my kitchen immaculate. Chef Missy and Sherry made our "micro wedding" during Covid a special, elegant event! Our guests raved about the appetizers, as well as the delicious soup, salad and meal. Everything was beautifully fresh and prepared to perfection. The menus she prepared were differrent from every other caterer I considered and she customized them further to our liking. Missy and Sherry were very respectful of our guests with all the Covid restrictions as we had some grandparents and a pregnant mom in our group. Chef Missy created a delicious and beautiful meal for our Annual Christmas party! It was our first foray with a personal chef but we could not have been happier. Chef Missy listened and helped me develop a special meal that would satisfy the meat eaters, fish lovers and our vegetarians too! She suggested a wide variety of apps and desserts as well! Serving sizes were generous but there were only a few leftovers; everyone could go for seconds:-) Her staff were warm and friendly and yet I almost forgot they were there as they moved among our guests making sure they were cared for; amazing job Brooke, Lucy and Karen! Chef Missy made the food at our wedding a highlight. She was easy to work with, made great recommendations for yummy seasonal flavors and found opportunities for us to keep our costs low. As you might expect, we had some changes along the way and details to coordinate, she was very responsive and flexible to suit our preferences. Everyone loved the food! Everyone! It was flavorful, served hot and ready when our guests were ready. We had a buffet and the portions were very generous. No one left hungry. She also made a point to work with how our reception flowed ~ allowing us time to have pictures and socialize. Her staff was very friendly and professional.
