Dylan customized our menu based on my family's preferences for fresh, clean naturally flavorful dishes and he delivered an epic 5-course dinner that tasted as incredible as it looked. Truly fine dining in the comfort of our Airbnb home. I also appreciated how laid back and flexible Dylan was the entire time - he's a true professional and rolled with the punches. His 2nd chef couldn't make it last minute but Dylan made sure this didn't affect our experience by shopping for half of his ingredients and swinging by to check out our kitchen the day before so that he could maximize his time the day of. The presentation of each course was also perfectly timed, allowing for room to breathe in between and each new course was brought to us hot and fresh off the stove. (Anyone who's hosted Thanksgiving dinner will know it's not easy to time the cooking of multiple dishes at once - I've tried and failed ). Additional bonuses that were meaningful to me: All produce was organic, and the seafood/meat was purchased fresh the day of from Whole Foods (tender grass fed rack of lamb, melt in your mouth sea bass, and truly the biggest scallops I've ever tasted). FYI Dylan is also fantastic with nosy kids who like to ask silly questions and/or get involved in the kitchen. Can't wait to taste his cooking again in the future!

My wife and I spent many hours researching and reviewing proposals from different caterers, and we…read moreare so happy that we ended up choosing COA Catering for our wedding! COA's pricing was very transparent and reasonable in comparison to some of the bigger name caterers we worked with early on in the process, and in hindsight my wife and I feel as though it was the best option we could have chosen given how amazing our wedding was, and how supportive and positive Ted was throughout the planning process. Ted Torres, the chef and owner, was an amazing resource in helping us envision how our wedding would play out, and went above and beyond with his team to ensure that the experience was perfect for us and our guests. In the communication leading up to the event, Ted would always make time to answer our questions, speak or meet with us in person, and after each conversation made us feel great about our decision to use COA given his thoughtfulness and expertise. On the day of our wedding, the staff was very professional and kind, and took great care of us and our guests. We chose a venue that had never hosted a wedding before, so Ted and his team played an integral part in executing our unique vision. There were never any lines at the bars, the hors d'oeurves were a HUGE hit, and the whole evening felt very classy. The set up and clean up was seamless as COA paid attention to all of the little details. The bartenders executed our signature drinks with great care and expertise as well. The most important aspect was that my wife and I did not need to worry at all on the day of the event as things were going great, the service was excellent, and everyone was happy! We both HIGHLY recommend choosing COA catering!

Caveat - he will be attending the Culinary Institute of America in the fall, so he is quite particular. Anyway, I called a few places and Mitzi replied the very next day. I told her what I was hoping for and she suggested that we have a call with Justin. They discussed what he likes and doesn't like and the two of them came up with a menu catered to just him - WOW! The other two places did respond but gave us a "pick list" of the foods he could choose from. So It was a given that she was going to be our choice. Having never had a personal chef come to my house I had no idea what to expect. She came with EVERYTHING except the kitchen sink - she did have to use mine - LOL! They cooked everything on site and everyone - yes, I mean everyone was so impressed by the food. I even received two texts the next morning telling me how much they loved the food. Mitzi is an extremely hard worker who pays attention to detail. I would hire her again for sure! She will not disappoint!

She curated a Caribbean inspired menu that was so thoughtful. We began with papas rellenas, perfectly crisped potato croquettes stuffed with beautifully seasoned curried lamb. They were so flavorful. Next was a vibrant Caribbean salad with leafy greens, dried tropical fruit, prawns, and a delicious honey-lime dressing. It was fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. For the main course, she served jerk cornish hens with rice & peas and mixed vegetables. The flavors were incredible!!! To end the evening, we enjoyed a refreshing dragon fruit and mango sorbet that was the perfect ending. May I also add that Chef Livi was incredibly accommodating, thoughtfully adjusting dishes for allergies and preparing a beautiful vegan substitute for one of my friends without compromising flavor or presentation. Every dish was prepared with care and love. You can truly tell she enjoys cooking for others and takes pride in her craft. I would absolutely book Chef Livi again in a heartbeat!!!
