Those of us that live out here full-time are always complaining that we don't have enough QUALITY dining options. I am here to testify that we have a very hospitable carry-out and catering operation amidst our homes. In the past two weeks I have had fully prepared dinners from here that were simply perfect for a quick warm-up at home. They included Grilled Wahoo accompanied by yellow rice in a low-salt chicken stock and medley of grilled zucchini, onion and squash. On another night I had lovely pork loin with broccoli and my companion enjoyed her delicious Baby Back ribs paired with mac n' cheese and campfire-tasty baked beans. They offer two dinner options nightly and conveniently prepare the menu's a month in advance. Call them and they will be happy to fax or deliver it with their meal delivery service. For the lunch crowd try the BBQ or the Steak and Cheese on grilled-bread. Veggie-eaters can enjoy various salads or veggies and rice and for Gluten-Intolerant diner's Mom (the owner) whipped up a delicious fresh grilled chicken breast over an equally sumptuous (and freshly-prepared) veggie salad for a guest of mine. Jim, Krissy and Mary also provide a very capable and professional catering operation serving physician's to football fans. Staffed bar and full food- service is enjoyed by all their clients. We need to support businesses like this GEM or we will be reduced to burger-joint and 7-11 microwave burrito's!

I had a disappointing experience with SofloChefs when I decided to cancel an event within the…read moredesignated timeframe, as per our contract. Despite following the proper procedures, SofloChefs not only refused to refund my deposit but also ceased all communication once the refund was requested. It's worth noting that our contract clearly stipulates a full refund of the deposit if the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the event. Frustrated with the lack of response, I had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card company. Fortunately, I succeeded in the dispute, and the credit card company refunded my deposit. Regrettably, based on this unsatisfactory encounter and the apparent deviation from our contract, I cannot recommend SofloChefs to others. Update: In response to the owner's reply. I attached the contract.

SoFlo Chefs is one of the best caterers in Miami! I have been graced to attend many events where…read morethey were the caterers. My earliest memory of SoFlo Chefs was in 2018 I believe having their chocolate cake at a baby shower (mind you I hate chocolate cake). When I tell you that was the best cake I've ever had!!! The last time I used them was this year for my birthday. My guests were over the moon with the food and service that was provided. They do catering, staffing, drinks, anything you need, they will strive to make it happen. Definitely a staple at your event!

The only thing which was off putting; I saw 2 of the female servers were eating appetizers right off the trays. I didn't say anything because it was not worth the stress but they could have snuck a snack after or behind the scenes. A little more discretion goes a long way. We also really enjoyed the spa suite directly across from the venue. The bride and our small gathering of bridesmaids had massages and facials. The outdoor ceremony can be a bit interesting...without any shade. Think of Florida heat..Other than that its was a good venue.

I had a pretty terrible experience with your catering service. The caterers were nowhere to be…read morefound when they needed to cut the cake, it took us forever to find someone to cut it, when they cut the cake they cut all of it at once and terribly. After the party they threw out all of the cake. We didn't have a tea or station or coffee or cups at all and we had to scramble and run to get coffee and cream and sugar and cups. They threw all the bread out on top of the tables at the end of the night. We gave them aluminum pans because we had extra food and those guys just threw it out. Appetizers were never brought to us as we discussed while we were getting ready for pictures and instead they gave them to us after all the food was brought out. All the plastic boxes were piled up on the dance floor next to the DJ for everyone to see and we had to wait thirty minutes for them to put stuff away so we can walk onto the dance floor so the bridal party could be announced and before we could seat to eat. Before the party they threw all the garbage on the grass right outside of the tent and we saw piles of garbage as we walked outside in the morning. Overall very disappointed and I feel like I was not provided what was discussed and paid for and the service was terrible. The company responded when I told them about all this and said they were basically not responsible for the staff because it was a different company but I would have to come in or since I'm out of town have a phone conference with them (and waste more of my time) and they will take it out of their paychecks but that I shouldn't punish the dishwashers. How dare they make me feel guilty about their screw up!? They said in the email that they would send me a check but over a month later still no check and no response to emails or phone calls. If they say they took it from the staff they contracted and since they didn't return it to me, looks like they might have just kept it.

I have spent the last month dealing with renaissance catering. After going over the large menu for…read moremy wedding we had a tasting at the restaurant.. Everybody there was helpful and kind. HOWEVER two weeks after our tasting we had trouble communicating with the catering end. When we finally heard from them they said they had to talk to the Private Venues owners and would call us back. Very reasonable- A week after not hearing from them we called and spoke to Jessica. She was completely rude on the phone telling us she had some notes about our event , after she seemingly found the "notes" she informed us they DIDNT HAVE THE WAIT STAFF to help us. Since they use a third party to serve and "people have other jobs" and couldn't do it that day. The date , size and location of my event was the same when I had my tasting , and when I started this process. I have now wasted an entire month going through the menu , and trying food they won't even serve for us?!? Obviously she had gone out of her way to write notes about how they couldnt help us , but failed to actually CALL US and INFORM US of said notes so we could find other more reliable sources. If they couldn't accommodate a party of this size on a certain day , why were we not informed before even going for a tasting? If there are notes about the reasons they aren't going to perform a service for us why were we not informed immediately ? Please note this was a 45 person party , not a 200 person gathering. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional.
