Chef Teri is the best chef Dallas area has to offer. We hired her for our vow ceremony in 2017, and…read moreI keep going back. I still think about the food she prepared 5 years later. She is a must to hire.

Great experience on short notice!!…read more I emailed Chef Teri 2 days before my husband's bday to request a private, in-home dinner for two. Since she had such glowing reviews, I was certain she would already be booked for that day and would laugh at my deadline. In the meantime, I contacted other chefs who replied back with less than desirable menus for foodies like ourselves. Thank God she replied on a Sunday with a complete menu! We went back a forth on a couple dishes but ended up with a 4 course meal with 3 different wines that would appease our picky palates! Pricing depends upon what you choose-ours ended up being a little over $500 including alcohol. Chef Teri arrived before we got home from work to prepare. She had our dining table decorated with flowers in tiny vases, candles, typed up placecards with the complete menu, and flowers in vases in our entryway and bathroom! She was warm and friendly and happy to educate us on food sources and her background. I included a pic of our menu, so I will not type up info on the dishes; however, I will say that the food was great! She truly pulled it off, without sweating, even though I gave her short notice! I can't imagine what the food would taste like with a month's notice-she is truly a gifted soul! Chef Teri clean up everything after we were finished eating and even stored some leftovers in our fridge. The chocolate leftovers were great for breakfast ;) I would recommend her to anyone needing to cater a party or intimate dinner. She was a delight to do business with, and we anticipate that we will utilize her weekly meal planning services, as well.

The process was super simple. I found her on yelp. She hit me back probably w/in 15-20 minutes. I wanted a nice meal made for my wedding anniversary. Year 11 married for Hubby and I. I knew I wanted steak and potatoes. She came up w/the chimmichurri (which I knew I loved), zuppa tuscana and infused strawberry shortcake. She and her assistant/sous chef came over a little bit early (I was a little late ) and she was just awesome! Very warm, personable and knows what she's doing. They were ein my kitchen working their magic and the smell of mouth watering food filled the house. The soup was done first. Hubby basically melted into the chair after his first bite. Seriously! It was flavorful and light abs presented in a very simple but comfort food way. 10 out of 10! A bit later the steak, loaded potato abs brussel sprouts came out. BOOM!! Looked good as f*ck and tasted out of this world! The steak was seasoned well w/out being salty or over done. There was a slight non spicy zing from the chimichurri. Also need to note the chimmichurri tasted so fresh, and flavorful I wanted to eat just the chimnichurri w/a spoon or slather it on EVERYTHING!! I definitely ate at least have of my brussel sprouts w/this magical, fresh, herby sauce.... because it was that damn good! Eating this had me thinking up schemes... ahem plans to get Layha to stay and cook more... or everything . I can and end very much enjoy cooking... but now I feel like I can't go back to my own cooking (woman womp). Oh well. I already booked Chef Layha for New Year, my birthday and Mother's day before the meal was completed. She also made these cute and small bourbon infused strawberry shortcakes. Real strawberries. Simple delicious, and juicy flavor. NOT SOGGY at all. Not overly sweet. Flippin awesome ! She also made some rotelle nachos for my kiddos when they get out of school later. I'll be tasting that very soon. Probably right after I hit the post button . Either way Chef Layha has some real talent. She made my day as well as my husband's. Her food was impeccable. She cleaned up my kitchen after the meal and there's plenty extra food. We're going to enjoy this food the rest of this weekend. For real!! I'm so looking forward to our next meal(s) from her. I hope others catch on to her talent... but a tiny selfish side of me is hoping I get to keep her to myself. Sorry not sorry

All of the dishes tasted so fresh, flavorful, and like they were made with love. The service was impeccable! The waitstaff was attentive and the chef came to explain every dish. The atmosphere was cozy and felt like you were at a friend's house. We chose to do the wine pairing with the meal and it was fantastic! I'm including photos from both of my experiences here!

Our driver didn't want to risk it so she parked a few blocks down and we took a little walk. This is a converted house that had a real nice homey feel to it. The service was outstanding from start to finish. They had fresh bread with butter and a strawberry jam already out for us and this was a nice start. The 4 course dinner was $70.00 and is a set menu chosen by the chef, they use Clover and I noticed there was a $2.80 card fee too. 1st course was head on U-9 shrimp with risotto. This had a homemade olive oil sauce and a Thai chili sauce to go with it. This was delicious, the risotto was perfectly cooked and the shrimp were hot and full of flavor. Noticed the heat but not too spicy. 2nd course was a strawberry mixed greens salad, that had a creamy sauce on the bottom of the plate with shaved almonds. Was not sure if I would like this combination but it was also very tasty. 3rd course was Filet Mignon with a port demi, roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were creamy and mixed well with the steak and veggies. 4th course was a key lime mousse that had a graham cracker crumble. This was good but probably my least favorite thing of the night. The flavor was good but kind of one note on the texture even with the crumble. I really liked the table, tree section that had been finished. Make note though that there are some holes in the table (I accidentally spilled some red wine on Max's white polo, sorry Max!). The place is BYOB, everyone brought wine but since I do not drink wine I brought Whiskey. I will note that the house was a little warm temp wise but I run hot too. All in all this was a fantastic experience and the food killed it for the most part. I would gladly go back anytime and would highly recommend giving it shot!

You need to have reservations because Chris the owner and Chef " invites" you to her house for dinner. She has several tables in three different rooms. We were at a beautifully appointed table in a room by ourselves. I recommend the prix fixed meal on Friday and Saturday nights. Last Friday we started with Gazpacho Soup with garnishes, fresh baked from scratch Crab Tart, a refreshing Green Salad, Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Asparagus and Potatoes and an Orange Soufflé for dessert. All the courses were perfectly prepared and paced so you could enjoy them. Dinner was $30 each and did I tell you it is BYOB? When you make your reservations Chris will tell you what is on this week's menu so you can bring wine to pair with the food. The food is wonderful and it is a great value. Seasons is also open for lunch, week night dinners, Sunday brunch and Sunday afternoon for an English Carvery buffet. She is has a formal Tea monthly.
