She listened to our dietary needs and designed fantastic menus for us (I really wanted potatoes and she came through for me!). My favorite dishes that Guillemette made were the "rustic galette" and "super green risotto." The food is tasty, healthy, and nourishing. Very generous portion sizes. Guillemette's prices were also very humble. We have tried other private chef services and Guillemette is not only a better chef, she is also priced better. The best thing I did for myself after having a baby was hiring Chef Guillemette! The 4th trimester is beautiful but also so hard, and having her cook for us has made a huge difference. I don't have to worry or think about cooking and that has been a lifesaver. Eating healthy food was my top priority, but there's no way I could have managed it on my own without her. She makes warm, easy-to-digest meals, which is so important when your body and digestion are still recovering after giving birth. She's also really lovely to have around--easy to chat with for a few minutes while my husband and I are busy with the baby. Chef Guillemette is absolutely amazing. Her food is delicious, comforting, healthy, and convenient. Being able to rely on her during my postpartum journey has been a dream come true. The meals she provides not only nourish me, but my whole family. When I am pressed for time (which is always), it's nice to know that I only need to heat up dinner that is fresh, full of veggies, and tastes amazing. Aside from the convenience and necessity of her services, Chef Guillemette is a delight. She understands the demands of parenting and just "gets it" when you are over tired or stressed. She is a calming presence to be around. Okay, the food. Chef Guillemette sends a menu for approval ahead of time and it always has a perfect variety of foods. She is also very flexible with the menu if you need to change a dish or request a favorite from previous weeks. I have so many favorites, like her Green Green Daal; Rainbow Thai Veggie Stew; Crispy Sticky Tofu with veggies; Mushroom, Farro, Miso & Kale Soup; Mushroom & Pea Risotto; Roasted Cauliflower Soup; Pearl Couscous Salad with Roasted Tomato Sauce & Roasted Veggies; and so many more that I just can't list them all. (We're vegetarian, but I know she has a lot of delicious looking non-vegetarian meals as well.) I also need to mention her Dark Chocolate, Date, and Tahini Dessert Bars. You need these in your life. Chef Guillemette is amazing. She came to my house the morning of our planned session with ALL the supplies and spent the next few hours filling my home with the most delicious smells. I decided to have her come just before baby was born and it was perfect. I had a few meals to eat in the days leading up to birth, and then still had ample food frozen for postpartum. Guillemette is an amazing chef and we have hired her 3 times already postpartum and plan to continue to hire her. It is truly a blessing to have her come and cook delicious and healthy recipes postpartum when you don't have any energy to do anything let alone meal plan and cook. I found out about her on a private facebook moms group by chance and since then I have recommended her to my mom friends and our doulas. She asks you for your food preferences, then prepares a suggested menu and after you ok it, she comes to your house to cook everything (about 4 hours).
