Sticky Toffee Heaven, a cheese that resembles a fudge. Cranberry, Orange & Cointreau Cheshire, one that definitely has apple and cinnamon, all right in time for Christmas. Every market I got to lately, I see these cheerful cheeses, and I'm never disappointed. These guys are the mad scientists of cheese. They'll put things you'd never expect in your fromage, and it tastes all the better for it. I've purchased Raj, Sticky Toffee and Black Bob, I've tried Jerk and all the Christmassy ones, and nothing disappoints. I bumped into these lot not only at the Manchester Christmas Markets but also during a recent trip to Buxton where they were holding a Winter Wonderland market, and our friend's post office shop near that. But if you can't find it at any stalls, just order it from their online shop! I'm sure some lucky person will love to find it in their Christmas hamper, or if not, just treat yo' self and gobble it all up. It'll be pricier than your average cheese simply because of its nature, and this isn't mass produced supermarket stuff. It's something you buy to spoil someone, and the folks at the stalls will always give you great suggestions regarding what to eat them with. This cheese will put a grin on your face, that's for sure. And their slogan reads along the same lines too!

This is somewhere where I've wanted to try for awhile. I…read morebooked a table just to be safe as it ended up being smaller than expected. We were greeted warmly and shown to our reserved table which consisted of a squishy sofa with a low coffee table. We did ask if we could be seated elsewhere as it seemed impractical to eat food there . Graciously we were taken to the back with high tables much better! The food is fantastic if you love cheese (as the place name suggests) meat, and nibbles. There were a few starters or for £15 each you could choose a platter with x2 cheeses of your choice. We ordered ours separately as my fella isn't a stinky cheese fan haha While we waited (which was a while) I was served a tasty zombie cocktail and himself a tasty flat white. The platter looked great when it eventually landed. Homemade pork pie, scotch egg, chicken, beef, Italian meats, various fruit, olives, crackers and bread .oh and the cheese. It was all beautifully presented and tasted excellent . The malbec served was also gorgeous. Overall it was a nice experience, cosy, lovely staff and food with quirky mouse artwork. Only thing I would suggest is the type of seating as another couple walked in and asked the same thing aka to be moved from a non squishy sofa to eat and the service a little slow but will be back for sure

I popped in here to catch up with an old school friend and we only wanted a light snack, so I got the 'nibble' cheese platter which was around £6.95 if I remember correctly and comes with a coffee or tea. The big platters are around £12 so I didn't expect to get much cheese- I had a choice of three from the deli counter. Went for a French Brie, creamy blue Brie and this incredible horseradish cheese, which is really tasty if you like horseradish. They brought loads- for just over £6 it was an amazing deal and plenty for one person. The platter came with a stack of crackers, chutney, grapes- it was a steal! My friend Holly had the coffee and cake option. It was insanely good value for money! The decor is a bit simple and basic but the staff are fantastic and the cheese top notch. I believe they have a BYOB system so you can bring your own wine to have with the cheese!!

Not just any cake either...wedding cake! I guess it's a brilliant alternative for those who are looking for something a little less traditional or for those who love savoury over sweet! You'll certainly make an impression with it. They have all sorts here, my friend splashed out for a cheese hamper for his Dad's birthday, they're quite expensive ranging from £15-£40 but this is speciality stuff so if you want to impress, or just want the best cheeseboard in the land to go with your wine (they also sell chutneys and biscuits so that nothing lets the side down), then Liverpool Cheese Company Ltd. is a winner!

The two owners are so passionate about cheese, you will go home loving all types of cheese even if you're usually the sort of person who says "I only really like cheddar". The range of products is SO diverse from a cheese selection box, through to a cheese wedding cake! Madness! Everything is local, and the cheeses are matured in the grade II listed dairy. I couldn't find anything to grumble about!
