HAVING A NICE LUNCH AT CHEERS ON PLAINFIELD WITH FAMILY. Lots of delicious food and fresh salad bar with warm cookies for dessert. The Menu will change daily M-F. New owner and Chef, give it a try! We've avoided cheers for the last couple years, but what a nice surprise to come in and have a great meal and great service

ABSOLUTELY the BEST burger that I've had!! My MIL had an amazing taco salad.. the food here is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I can't wait to come back!!

My husband and I hit this location for an impromptu date night and we had a wonderful time. The facilities are clean for the most part, I give the 4/5 for this as the bathroom could've used a little TLC. Service receives 5 stars, food also receives 5 stars as well since on the bar scale, it was awesome! We had a great time at karaoke with a great crowd of people, so we give 5 stars for entertainment, and 5 for ambiance. This brings this location 5/5 stars on the bar scale!

    Meatloaf dinner to go!

Very average food and beer selection. Service is fair. The decor is okay, but rather outdated.

We've driven by Fred's many times but never visited until recently. Fred's is your classic "Grand…read moreRapids Italian" spot, which means it's a sports bar with some Italian dishes (similar to Uccello's etc.). We stopped in on a weekday around 7 pm and there was plenty of open seating in the large bar area. Our server was pretty busy but very kind. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and Nate got the wet burrito. Our food did take a bit of time to come out, but when it arrived, everything was hot and fresh. The chicken parm was a huge portion and it came with an entire loaf of garlic bread, so I had plenty of leftovers. It was super saucy (which I liked) and cheesy. It was also really salty! I had several bites of Nate's burrito, which was flavorful and tasty (also very salty). Overall it was a good visit, the bar was large and clean, and I'm glad we got a chance to check it out.

The meatballs do $1.50 could be a meal on their own and are perfectly classic. The Sicilian handheld and the Focaccia Chicken were plentiful portions equally delicious. Great service and a classic sports bar atmosphere-we are already planning our next three visits back!

It was clean inside, bathrooms were freezing and the inside itself was small. The parking sucked and for handicapped people would not be good at all. They did have a ramp but no close handicap places so we had to walk across a very slippery parking lot. The parking was very limited. This alone would not be a reason for returning. The mushrooms were huge and lightly breaded. They were good but I would prefer the smaller size. Personal preference and again they were good. The Reuben sandwich was very good (husband had it) and up sized to fries which were also good. I had the pot roast sandwich with waffle chips. The sandwich was amazing (I added onions & gr peppers). The waffle fries were evidently the bottom of the bag because they were all small pieces which I couldn't even hold onto to dip in the French onion dip which I paid extra for. The wet burrito was very good (son in law had this). The pasta carbonara was not good (daughter had) and the garlic bread came with a large black hair across it. The employees were very apologetic and of course by the time she got her new pasta we were all done eating & freezing. It was her birthday meal so it was disappointing. They did comp her meal so there is that. All in all it was good not great and did I mention FREEZING? The server was very slow in coming around and we had to track her down to get our check. She was pleasant as were the other employees we came into contact with. Because of location & parking we will not return but the sandwiches would be worth it if it were not for that.

I had the perch , which are some of the best around lightly battered and tasty , so many places over batter their fish but this was just right ! My wife loved her burger , large beer was only 7:50 for an Oberon light , while the tall Tito's and diet for my wife was priced right too. We can't wait for their steakhouse to open Next door .... We will be back

Service was top notch from start to finish. Plates were cleared between each course, we were checked on often but not too much and felt super taken care of. The tart strawberry mocktail was one of the best I've ever had, refreshing and perfectly balanced. We started with the truffle arancini- it sits on top of a bed of black pepper aioli which was to die for. The gem salad was fresh- loved the addition of crispy prosciutto&mandarins. I had the double waygu burger with fries(highly recommend asking for a side of the black pepper aioli for your fries!!) while my husband had the hanger steak frites. Both were cooked perfectly and SO flavorful. We were stuffed, but had to finish with the tiramisu. It came in a chilled glass- so appreciate the attention to detail. I'll be thinking about this meal until I can come back for more!

Food is fresh, service is excellent and the ambiance is cool too. My waitress was on it with her recs! She helped me find a gin drink to my linking and talked up the scallops. I got them and loved it! Dishes were a bit garlicky, but I like garlic! The bed tartar was wonderful and I enjoyed how they "chunked" the meat instead of making it a mush. My friend got a steak on top of the gnocchi and really enjoyed it! Overall I think this restaurant is worth the hype and canto wait to dine here again! It's important to know that if you want to dine here, plan to reserve a table ahead or plan to wait for a table. They hold 50% of table s for walk ins. Parking DT is always a challenge and once they build the soccer stadium, I imagine it will be craziness. It just takes a bit of planning.
