This was the most beautiful cafe of all time. I absolutely adored it there! There was ambient music playing, plenty of plants, books lining the shelves, etc. I loved the area where you could sit on the ground with pillows. The menu is mostly Jewish/Middle Eastern food and a lot of tea and coffee options. I chose a large black coffee for 12 PLN and it was excellent. And cheaper than the mainstream cafes like Starbucks and costa. There was free fast wifi and outlets to use. There toilet was clean. Service was nice. I spent a good amount of time in the cafe just hanging out, doing some reading, and enjoying the atmosphere. Would recommend! read more

I really like the place- is located in Kazimierz district but in the part I like the most. Place itself is very nicely decorated and somehow familiar ...:) It brought me some memories. While sipping my milk & honey drink I read the book from the library located in there and also later on took part in special event. All was prepared so well and food - humous and wine and olives were delicious. It was such lovely evening and it was so calm and service was so friendly. I like the idea of having wine testing evening too and also before I was listening to Jewish traditional music and took a stroll around district- all put me in different mood and lift me up a bit - because I am in miserable condition due to other problems- visit in Cheder brought a bit light to me...:) read more

A trendy place in Kazmierz, the old Jewish quarter of Krakow, Cheder is a great option to have a light lunch. We ordered pitta bread with a number of side dishes including humus, tahini, carrots and cucumber which didn't cost that much at all. Despite the light lunch I would see it as more of a coffee shop as they have free wi-fi and lots of people sitting around for prolonged periods on laptops. A spacious but cosy jewish cafe that is easily ignored as you pass by the Jozefa street if you are not aware of its existence, yet quite popular in the Kazimierz cafe scene from wyat I have gathered. Excellent location for some afternoon tea and reading in a well lit atmosphere around the tables during the day. The staff is always welcoming and very friendly. I just wish they had a few more tables as I do think there would be space to accommodate it without ruining the ambience..! read more

A really good place to sit or work, with a super-eclectic selection of music. I once heard a Jewish Cowboy singer singing about Yom Kippur on the range on the stereo. Their spicy Israeli coffee is delicious as is their Israeli Tea with fresh mint leaves. Have a slice of baclava, and chill out on the rugs and pillows with the low tables on the stage. read more

THE best coffee I've ever had. I'm a coffee snob, so that says a lot. I had been staying in the center of Krakow over the summer, which to people who know Krakow, is a super touristy spot. A friend and I decided it was time to get out of the center of Krakow and explore the surrounding neighborhoods. We ended up going to Kazimierz and check out the cafe and restaurant scene. We just happened to stumble upon Cheder--as we were in desperate need of caffeine. Walking in, It has a really inviting and cozy with authentic Jewish charm. We sat down on a bench with a table and comfy pillows. We loved how they were playing 60's pop in the background, which made it an fun place to chill and relax. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the Israeli coffee. Expecting a small up of coffee, the barista brings out a large vintage-looking pot of coffee. It was honestly SO good. It was spiced to perfection. The presentation was incredible too. I enjoyed every sip of it. The baristas there were really nice too. My friend and I could only speak minimal Polish, so the baristas were patient enough as we ordered. Even helped us with our Polish. This coffee shop is definitely going to be a hard one to top in the States. read more
