We technically can't even rate it 1 star. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and once we got to our table we continued to wait 15-20 more minutes for no one to show up to our table. They were not busy there were a couple tables around us being attended to but whoever our server was they decided they didn't want to take care of our table so we walked out! Although it was very busy since I waited over 30 minutes before getting a table for a group of 3, the food was reasonably priced for the large portion sizes. I wish the chicken fried steak was a bit more tender but it was fine. The mashed potatoes and the cole slaw were decent. Ordered blackened white fish and was given salmon. They brought me out salmon that had multiple bones in it, and I did not discover it until I started chewing something hard. I then ask for the manager. The manager was condescending and dismissive of potential harm that bones in fish could have caused. despite the manager admitting that salmon should not have had bones in it. She did not want to take the salmon off the ticket and said that she had a business to run. The manager also insisted that I leave my entire meal as a condition to taking anything off the ticket. The managers attitude was confusing, especially after admitting that it was the restaurants fault that not only did they bring out the wrong meat, but they brought out salmon with multiple bones in it that could have sent someone to the emergency room. read more

My appetizers were cold.. my food had hair it in.. kind of wish I had taken a picture before I had the server replace the dish. I hate posting a negative review but this restaurant (which use to be a staple in our books) has gone soooo downhill. And the replacement dish took so long that we didn't even feel hungry anymore. Just disgusted.. Don't come here if: 1. You don't want to wait 15+ minutes after being seated to be addressed. 2. You don't want to wait 45+ minutes for appetizer. 3. This by far is one of the nastiest meals I have ever attempted to eat. The broccoli taste like it wasn't washed and for some reason my croissant is drenched in butter and soggy. When I called, the manager said that "they wash the broccoli when they portion it out", but how do you as a manager know that is happening each time? It definitely didn't happen this time. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious. I always order the Monte Crisco. I keep thinking I'm going to order something different but I just can't get away from it. The friends we were with ordered the chicken pot pie and he said it's the best one he's ever had at a restaurant and he's 80. The croissants that they bring you at the first are wonderful. Took a larger party in to celebrate a birthday. Got seated, after 20 minutes or so had to try and find somebody to see if we had a server. A manager came out to inform us someone would be with us shortly, watched people seated after us get service. Waited another 10 minutes or so. Finally said forget it and got up and left. I will go with three stars - My chicken strips didn't have a lot of meat (had a LOT of breading on them, I don't know how they get that much to stick). My mom's roasted chicken as very dry and she was unable to eat even half of it. Dad's ribs were too difficult for him to eat. I think Mom ordered cheese bites but we never received them (and she didn't want to stress anyone out and nobody asked). Seems like there were a lot of teens on duty or some of them were on lunch break(?). NICE - croissant rolls were amazing! Mashed potatoes were good. My husband order the Ribeye and I ordered Cajun noodles with chicken and shrimp. They didnt give me enough shrimp so the waitress had them cook me more. I never got the shrimp. The cook gave it away . The whole meal just wasnt that good, it was mostly noodles for a $15.00 meal. Not worth it all all. My husband's steak was disgusting. It almost tasted spoiled. I couldn't finish chewing it. Had to spit it out. It didnt have flavor at at. The manager did give us a discount on the steak. This was our first time coming and we were disappointing. I came here after a soccer game looking for some delicious, filling food. And I wasn't disappointed! The food was amazing! Think Cracker Barrel-type food with an Olive Garden-type feel. Our server was friendly and served us well. For a large group coming at 4:00, the wait was half an hour, and for a group of 3 coming at the same time, the wait was about 15 minutes. I almost NEVER leave reviews but the customer service at this location was SO terrible that I will NEVER come back, and will let everyone I can can know to avoid this location. We called a day in advance to let the restaurant know we had a group of 15 coming to celebrate my 40th birthday the following evening. They informed us that reservations are not available but that they have a waitlist system and recommended joining that about 45 minutes before the party. Tonight my husband called about 45 min before our arrival to let them know we would be coming. The person who answered the phone asked what time and said "okay, just check in when you get here," leaving us under the impression we were on the waitlist. We checked in at arrival and they let us know that several large parties arrived before us and it would be a significant wait. We I asked about our call ahead, they told us "that didn't count, because you have to be here to join the waitlist" (which by the way makes no sense because you can join the waitlist online supposedly). Frustrated but resigned to the fact, I did let the hostess (Joanne) know that they may want to let the person answering the phone know that they should make this fact know when we called ahead. We could have sent someone over 30 minutes before and have them already waiting had we known we weren't on the waitlist but we were not given that impression whatsoever. We had young children in the party, which makes waiting for long periods of time already very difficult, combined with the fact that it was later in the evening. Joanne proceeded to shake her head at me and in a very snarky way reply "yeah, I'll be sure to do that." SO RUDE. Because the wait was so significant some of our party members ended up having to leave. I am just so frustrated that a fun night out was ruined by poor communication and an extremely rude host. We haven't even sat down to eat yet (at this point, I'm fairly sure it's been longer than we were even quoted) and honestly if we could get in somewhere else on this short of notice, we would just leave but at this point we've already waited so long, but I guess we will just stick it out. Went there with Family from out of town on Sunday, May 21, 2023, and wound up leaving before even ordering any food. Why? Because the restaurant and the bathrooms were filthy, plain and simple. Cheddars has really gone down hill. We gave them another try last night after having not eaten here in a few years. Our last time eating here was mediocre, but this was so much worse. To start off the hostess was going to seat our small party of three including a toddler in the bar when there was ample seating elsewhere in the restaurant. Next one of our sides was incorrect when our food was brought out and we also didn't receive our salads before our main course. Our salads were finally brought out with browning lettuce that you definitely wouldn't see in the grocery store for sale. My cheese fries looked and tasted like like they had been microwaved for about 5 min. They were one solid mass of hard cheese and tough to chew. Finally my husband received his correct side dish when we were wanting to leave. To top it all off, while sitting there trying to salvage our meal we were asked to get up from our table, because someone behind us in the booth had dropped their phone?? We came here to Celebrate 2 birthdays and an Anniversary. We made a reservation the night before and when we got there we had to wait to be seated because they weren't prepared for us or have our table ready. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. She seemed a little overwhelmed but stayed up on keeping an eye on us and if we needed anything. The food was decent. The baked potato was hard and didnt taste right but the rest of the food was great. The potato soup was delicious and the pot pie was very filling. They brought out 2 deserts for our celebrations which was nice. We had a good time. The only thing I would change is the Hostesses could have communicated a little better. We just sat there and waited as they sat and talked until we had to ask what was holding things up. read more

Whoa! This restaurant is sooo loud! This meal was actually alright, but overall, I find even the name insulting: Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. In what way are they scratch? Did they take a package of fresh spinach and the dip they served me? Uh, no! Did they freshly fry the tortilla chips and serve them to me warm? Ditto. In other words, using the term scratch in their name is simply a lie or an advertising ploy to make people think they are eating healthier than they really are. Get fresh honey butter croissants within 5 minutes of sitting down! We had a party of four sat at a table barely big enough for a party of four and the electronic babysitter took up too much space so we moved it to give ourselves, and our plates room. Our server walks up, "Where's the computer?" Flat, honestly kinda rude tone, mostly kinda silly. Whatever. We point out how we moved it in plain sight but off the table, and she puts it back on the table...just so we can move it when appetizers come. We get our food and it's pretty good...the first time I ate it. I have never had this happen at Cheddar's in the past, and this isn't a normal occurrence, but apparently something changed recently. I ate the country fried chicken, as is described with green beans and mashed potatoes. Nbd, I can't count how many times I've had this dish in my life. The absolute worst acid reflux I have ever had. I woke up in the middle of the night, not with heartburn, oh no, straight up stomach acid trying to escape my mouth. It was awful. Tums and other antacids couldn't touch it. All over six ounces of fried chicken and some potatoes...10/10 don't recommend until they tweak that frier oil. read more

Stopped in here while on the road for work in Kansas and it was pretty good. I had great service at the bar and they had a really good craft wheat beer on tap which was great! I ordered the white fish dinner and it came out quick and it was delicious, with very generous portions. I would definitely recommend this place. read more
