I don't understand why people like this place. Queso was average. I was there for lunch and it was overly busy. Ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, house salad, and a loaded baked potato. Salad didn't come until I had finished half of my meal. Salad came with a croissant which was nice. Salad consisted of lettuce, grated carrots, some baby tomatoes, and croutons. Pretty average. This was without a doubt the worst service experience in my life, I'm not kidding when I say I would probably get better service at mcdonalds. First off there was no hostess to greet us when we arrived and it took us 10 minutes to be seated. After that it took 20 minutes to get and the waiter didn't even bring all of our drinks. After another 10 minutes they brought our final drink in a plastic cup without ice and told us that he brought it like that so we could take it to go and at this point we hadn't even put our order in for our appetizer. After we ordered he looked at the waiter and said right in front of us that there was a cheese fry in the back and told him to get it for us. Literally 30 seconds later they were brought out as soon as I bit into them I could tell immediately that they were sitting back in the kitchen for god knows how long. They were cold and soggy and the cheese was starting to get hard nasty. After this we had had enough and walked out and went to the outback next door and had a much better experience. We were a party of four and stopped by Cheddar's for a friends birthday dinner. Needless to say it was one of the worst dinning experiences I had in many years. Two of the four in our party have waited tables before so we know what it's like to work in a restaurant. Cheddar's was slower than slow. It took 60 minutes to get the entrées and when they showed up they were ice cold, on top of that a glass of wine we ordered when we sat down never arrived, even after reminding the server of its absence. There was a 20 minute stretch where our server disappeared completely, so we just sat there until thankfully another server agreed to help get us refills on the drinks we did receive. We arrived and were immediately seated at 8:25 because the restaurant wasn't very busy. After ordering at 8:40 we waited and waited and waited for the food until we had finally had enough and decided to leave without taking a bite of our meals when all 4 meals arrived cold at 9:40. This is the first time in my entire adult life that I have actually returned an entire meal and decided to leave. The manager offered to send us gift cards and comp our meal... which we turned down. The experience was so bad that we all actually turned down free gift cards. Thankfully there was an Outback right next door.... And that meal turned out to be excellent. read more

Just got back from Cheddar's. My first visit. I had the key lime chicken & shrimp. It was pretty tasty. I had the mac & cheese, and broccoli and cheese casserole for sides. I loved the broccoli and cheese casserole. Mac and cheese was pretty nice too. My friend had the ribs and shrimp and she said it was fantastic. My other friend had some sort of fish. She totally did NOT like it. So much so that she sent it back. They were very nice about it. Apologized and brought her another entrée. So the service is pretty great too. They also have unlimited strawberry lemonade! Our server was soooo nice. Will be back!!!! read more

All I can say is..... It's not very good food and overpriced. We were a party of 4 and my brother had the combination of ribs and chicken tenders with 2 orders of fries. He specifically asked the waiter that the fries be "very hot." When he got his order, it was totally disappointing. Everything was cold. He sent it back and it took about 20 minutes to get it back. The fries were hot however we took the ribs home because they were cold. We also ordered chicken pot pie (hardly any chicken in it) and chicken fried steak (the breading was not very good) and they were not very good. For the price, it's hard to top Cheddars. Everything we had was decent and very reasonably priced. They have some tasty mini desserts as well for $1.49 each. The service was good too. Family of four for under $50. We will be back again. read more

We have been to this restaurant before, service is usually pretty good, the food is great. However, tonight we are very disappointed. My husband has been in the food service business for 30 years, and we have NEVER walked out of a restaurant until today. We walked in a decided to sit at the open seating near the bar. We sat down and looked around. No one approached us, said hello, asked us if we wanted a drink, nothing! We felt like two ghosts who had rolled into the place unnoticed. After 10 minutes of being ignored by 4 waiters/waitresses, two bartenders and someone in a pink shirt and bow tie who looked like a manager, we walked out. Terrible customer service. The place is popular, because the food is good, but the service has to be there as well. We went next door to Outback where we received prompt and courteous service. Cheddars on Osceola Parkway, you need to teach your people not to ignore your customers. read more

***WORST SERVICE EVER!***I had ordered to go at the Osceola parkway location and they told me it would take 15 minutes for the order to be ready. I go to the restaurant and the servers tell me to go to the end of the bar. I go there and stand there waiting for someone to greet or acknowledge me. 5 minutes go by and somebody asks if I needed help. I told them the order name and then handed my credit card to pay. After paying and receiving my receipt, none of the servers mentioned how long it was going to take for my order. So I stand there staring at the bartenders, another 10 minutes go by, finally I ask someone and they said it will be ready shortly. Another 10 minutes go by and a lady with a headphone on asked if I was being helped and I said to her that I'm waiting for my food to be ready. 5 minutes go by and the lady with the headphone goes to inquire about my food. She comes out another 5 minutes later and places the boxes on the counter near me(not in front of me) and didn't plan on mentioning that those are my boxes and neither did I receive any bags for my boxes. Then I had called the store to speak to a manager and waited on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up and called again and asked the server on the other side of the phone to transfer me to a manager because their service was absolutely horrible. She said she was sorry and that all managers are busy. After explaining to her that I had to wait an extra 40 minutes for my food which should have been ready in 15 minutes, I told her if I can't talk to a manager I will post a complain on the Internet, and she replied "go ahead." read more

Disappointed is all I can say after my first experience with this restaurant and chain. Friday afternoon around 3 pm should have been a safer time to try restaurant open about 30 days...wrong! My husband's meal was a disaster. Ordered steak and shrimp but server brought out chicken tenders. Told server order was wrong but she left plate without saying a thing. We moved plate to end of table. After ten or fifteen minutes another server asked if there was a problem with meal. We explained...still no manager. After a five or ten minutes I stopped another server an asked for the manager. This time a manger showed up with the meal that was ordered and an apology. Total time lapse 30-35 minutes to get correct meal. So how was the meal? Steak was well well done (should have been medium) rest of food was okay or average restaurant stuff. The New Orleans pasta I ordered was average but not anything I would order again. Don't plan to return anytime soon! read more

The first time I visited food was good. The second time, it left me with little desire to go back. I went with a friend to dinner and to our surprise while eating right next to our table there were roaches walking. Our server was great that's why I felt really bad to tell him about the roaches so we quickly asked for the check and left our food half eaten. Our conclusion: If there are roaches in the dinning area I can't imagine walking into the kitchen. read more

We visited the first time and will be the last time. My wife and I were curios about the place we had received mixed reviews. We had the mix appetizer. The potatoes skins were alright nothing out of the ordnairy. The cheese nuggets were find. The chicken tenders were so covered in what seemed like corn flakes and that did not let the flavor of the chicken come through. My wife order the pasta dish from New Orleans. People be careful. This dish is very very spicy. My wife tolerates spice. And she could not eat it and she turned it back. This item on the menu needs a better description. And some type of symbol that shows that it is very spicy. Come cheddar people. Not everybody is from he New Orleans. I guarantee. My half rack of ribs were so covered with burnt sauce that I could not taste the meat on the ribs. You want a kicker. I asked for a piece of the bread for my entree and the waitress said that I had to pay for it. Okay? Finally,the supervisor or the manager on duty came to us and ask us what was wrong with with my wife's plate. We explained that the spice heat was overpowering. Her response was was well some people can not tolerate spice . There is were she is wrong there menu is labeled wrong. My wife does tolerate spice. By the way, my wife left the restaurant were her palate was num. the manger or supervisor wrote off the dish. But her attitude was very poor in regards to her customer. She was very obnoxious. Came here with high hopes. By the end of the meal they were shattered. Appetizers were awesome. Entrees were not great. I had the philly cheesesteak and comparing the cheesesteak i had from Genos in Philly, it was not pleasant. My wife had a hair in her burger. We would've told the waiter however he was nowhere to be found. Which segways this review to service. It was quite lackluster. The woman in the front was not engaging at all and looked as if she suffers from resting bitch face. Not a quality one should possess in the service industry. Phenomenal meal! Whole family enjoyed it. (Mom, wife, 5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old!) took a while to get the food to the table, but it seems they make everything from scratch so it pays off! Never been a fan of this place but my grandparents enjoy it so we go. Not after tonight. 15 minutes to receive our drinks, 45 minutes to receive a strawberry daquiri (which the server claimed he made himself when he finally brought it over), 70 minutes to receive all appetizers. And then 5 minutes after that, our entrees came out. Server whom was heavy set, young, dark features was lost. Messed up 1 meal completely and that meal did not come back out until everyone else at the table was finished eating. Also ordered the ice cream and cookie dessert with no nuts and it was brought out with nuts. What if there was an allergy? Really bad service. At the end we spoke to a manager because server did not compensate for anything. Manager said daquiri was very strange- not in the correct glass and probably had no alcohol in it. Then had no idea why the late entree wasn't taken off and took it off the bill along with daquiri. Manager was extremely nice. I will be 100% honest with this review, this restaurant when it first started off was great! They served a lot of food and was very presentable and overall had good taste. I have gone a total amount of about two times recently and have left completely dissatisfied. Today I gave it another chance thinking the last 2 times were probably bad because we went on a weekend but no today it was the same exact thing. Order a 6oz steak with shrimps and received a steak that looked like it 3oz and literally only received three really small shrimps. Steak had no flavor and was very hard to chew on, the three little shrimps were tender but had absolutely no flavor. My wife ordered a chicken tender salad and they gave her one chicken tender cut into five little pieces. Aside from the little chicken tenders they forgot to bring the croissant with honey butter. Waiter was ok but was also not the best seemed like she was getting frustrated from working but if I do not receive what I ask for and I am dissatisfied I have to let them know. I will no longer give this restaurant another try it has proven to me that the quality is no longer there. read more

Went on a Wednesday night. First time trying Chedders. Heard good things so we took the family. The wait was decent. They told us 10-15 mins we were seated about 20 minutes. Server took another 10-15 minutes before greeting us. Took our drink orders and only came back with the kids drink and my water. We got the nachos and they were great. She said sorry for the wait. I watch our drinks sit at the bar for about 20-30 minutes. She kept walking by them. The other servers sat there and talked while my pina colada was melting and husbands margarita got watery from the ice melting. I asked her to get our drinks because they were sitting there for a while, but asked her to remake them since they were melting and got watery. She brought me the melted one but quickly brought the remade one. We got our our food and my loaded baked potato was cold. My fried shrimp was over battered and was mushy. Ribs were a little dry. The corn was ok. My daughter got half rack ribs and they over did it with the fries because the bowl of coleslaw was on top of the fries. She forgot my sons mac and cheese but quickly got it. Husband got the monte cristo but not enough sauce and a bit too greasy. She got my fried shrimp remade and it was not over battered the 2nd time but didn't get sauce for them. The server would ask if we were ok but walked away before we could answer. She did that a lot tonight. Overall it was ok. The service wasn't that great. read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant, which just opened a few weeks ago, for the first time last weekend with two other couples. The food was very good as was the service, despite the fact they were quite busy. The prices are a little on the high side. There is one thing they do that I really don't like: they print on the bottom of the receipt a "suggested gratuity". In this case, their suggested gratuities are 18% - 20% - 22%. Most restaurants that do this start at 15%, which is by far and away the most common gratuity most Americans leave for "regular, usual service" (according to neutral websites that publish these statistics). Starting at 18% is an attempt to intimidate their patrons; for all intents and purposes they're telling them that if they don't plan to leave a minimum of 18%, they are not welcome at this restaurant. I realize this dining establishment is in the tourist corridor, and a lot of Europeans and other foreigners may not be familiar with American tipping customs, so I understand leaving a gratuity reminder on the bottom of the receipt. The part I have a problem with is that it starts at 18%. The restaurant industry in general is trying to make a 20% tip the "new normal". This server was waiting on 10 people: our table of 6 and two other couples. I left her $ 6 (which was 15% pre-tax). That's more than enough compensation from 2 people for someone who is dividing their time with 8 other people. read more

We have heard good things, so finally decided to check it out. Called 30 minutes prior to heading over, they don't offer call ahead Friday-Sunday, however didn't have a wait. By the time we got there, there was a 35 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar, and were a bit disappointed that seats were being taken up by children (under 7 years old), but were grateful that another couple offered to scoot over, leaving us two seats together. The bartender was prompt, and our food came out quickly. The Spagana and New Orleans Pasta were both decent, nothing to really write home about. The New Orleans Pasta had an ENORMOUS peice of chicken bone in it; and the couple next to us also found a small bone. The manager promptly greeted us, and apologized by saying they purchase all boneless chicken anyways, and the dish was comp'ed. Decent food for a good price, and the service was very prompt. We will be going back, but not with great expectations. read more

Our server Nick was phenomenal. So great that we always come here and request him as our server. I would give 5 stars ONLY* because of him; his amazing ability to provide quality customer service. Unfortunately I will only give one star because of the hosts. I was here with my parents, I requested to be seated with Nick, as we always do. We were told by the hostess it would be a 30 minute wait which was fine since we understand the restaurant can get busy. We waited for more than an hour, only to see someone else sit at the table we were supposed to be sitting next, in Nick's section. These people weren't waiting for nearly as long as we were. Needless to say we thought that was very rude and unprofessional off the hostess' part, and even if those people "specifically requested a table", (like the manager said when we asked to speak to her) then they should've been on the waiting list... Like everybody else. I've worked in the restaurant industry so I know what it's like. I would of appreciated at least an apology or admitting they messed up. Neither of those things were communicated. They have proven to me (and the countless other customers that have written one star reviews) they have no clear understanding of what true customer service is. read more

the food is AMAZING. the service is AWFUL. ive been there multiple times and legitimately EVERY time we've had crappy service. not even redeemable service, just pure awful service. its always crowded but for a good reason. the food and prices are so good you cant beat it. but I would recommend NOT making it a regular spot to dine at because the service will eventually turn you off completely like it did for me. read more
