Most times their food is rather good. I love your guys hamburger buns today I sat at the order and drive-through machine for about 6 minutes. I drove to the window I seen that the workers were in there. I went back to the drive-through and they just refused to take my order and I ended up at Wendy's. The Host had the dirtiest long fingernails ever seen by me in a restaurant! you could literally see the ketchup and grime around and under his nails!! When I saw him handling fries and dip a cup into the ice machine with those greasy grimy hands, I was glad I ordered bottled water! He over charged me then tried to tell me he forgot to charge me for the bottled waters! He tried to get another 4.26 from me and when I said something he only charged me 1.54 more instead. Not only will I never return here, but I'm also sure I'll never visit another checkers until I die. Tom Terrific here with another honest review. I don't normally do these small fast food places but I was so disappointed in their chicken tenders i just had to do it. The tenders were small, dry and pretty tasteless plus you pay decent money for them. Not a good value, no quality, no flavor. They advertise them as fry seasoned tenders. They're going to need more than that to save these measly tidbits. Their fries and ice cream are good but like everything else the prices have gone up and not just by a few cents. Large fries are in the $3.30 range. That's a 5 pound bag of spuds. The ice cream went from a dollar to $1.39. Their saving grace is their delicious Checkerburger. I used to be a big fan of Checkers and would go there frequently, especially at two establishments which have since been closed in Tarpon Springs and Palm Harbor. In general, the Checkers food has gone downhill and last night we had a very disappointing meal at the Checkers in Holiday. I really like their chili dogs with mustard & chopped onion. It is not the best food, but a welcome change. Hard to find dogs at fast food chains. We recently went & tried their biggest burgers. They were over $5 a piece, so for fast food, not a $ menu. They looked great. First hungry bite cold & disquesting. They tasted like a giant salt lick! First & last attempt at burgers from Checkers! We've been to this location many times over the last five years. Only had one bad experience with a rude employee who we only saw once. The standard visit includes employees who are in a good mood with a smile on their face, your food made fresh when you pull up, and fair prices. It may be fast food but when you roll up to the window and your food is freshly made and people are smiling and joking you know you found a good drive in . I always leave something off on a burger depending on the mood I'm in and they always make it right. The staff at this location is always in a good mood when you drive up. My last trip I got wings and my wife got a order of funnel fries and they were both good fresh and here funnel fries were so good we drove through AGIAN to get a second order.
