If I could give ZEROS on Yelp, I TOTALLY would. This one would top ALL of my other reviews that I would give ZEROS to.
I came in here to borrow something short-term. I did my research, looked up the location, found the hours of operations, and made my way out there.
Yes, I would be annoyed too if someone came to a business 10-15 minutes before it closes, but you can't blame anyone if you close at 6pm WHEN NORMAL PEOPLE WORK UNTIL 5pm. Commuting from just getting off of work, then traffic, then finding the business is hard to do all in the ~45 minutes you allot for yourself.
Anyhow, I came to this business at 5:45pm. I parked and noticed there was a women in the car next over smoking in her car. I already thought that was odd and weird at the same time. Then, I approach this business to "enter" and came to find that the door was locked. I don't think walking from my car, which was parked possibly 6 feet away) ate up an entire 15 minutes. I don't walk slow like a turtle either. I tug at the door, locked. I looked up at the neon sign glowing open, but still locked. I called the BF to double check the time on their website and was confirmed that I still had the ~10 minutes. Out of NOWHERE, the lady smoking in her car approaches me. She asked me if I was wanting to enter the store and after I answer, she says "I work here, hold on, give me a minute" SO THAT SHE CAN FINISH SMOKING HER CIGARETTE. (trying to calm down now) WOOSAHH So now, I'm waiting for this lady to finish her cigarette and checking my phone seeing that I have 2 minutes left before the business is closed. We finally walk in and she blurts questions out to me like she was calling a dog to come to her. Granted there was no one else in the "store" but still, have some dignity. I was about to be "done" with this place, but I figured that I didn't do all of this for nothing and we really need to borrow the money at that time. I'm filling out my application at a table 5 feet away from where she was sitting and again, she BLURTS out to me questions that are personal (SSN, Work, Phone, etc.) When I approach her to hand in the application, I could smell the cigarette stench from her breathe. That's one thing I absolutely dislike.
All-In-All, I did not have a good experience and never came back there again. I even asked for the District Managers information so that I could complain (that would be my first business complaint ever in my life which I never did) I do NOT recommend coming here to anyone. Make the extra drive to the other location in Hoffman Estates as you WILL be treated as a customer there.
