I recently moved from Plano to Fort Worth and was in search of a cleaning service. I was in the middle of quitting my job and taking care of a 13 year old sister, so I didn't have the time nor energy to make sure this place was neat and tidy before I left. And my apartment is notorious for charging an arm and leg to clean the place up. So, I looked up some reviews and found that this was the best one thus far for the money! I called to make an appointment and the young lady that I spoke with was very clear and flexible with scheduling a time. So far, the customer service was on point and I was eagerly awaiting the cleaning service to come. The day arrived and I had a lot of my sorority sisters come and help me move some of the last few boxes to the moving truck so I had everything out of the apartment at this point. Two young ladies had introduced themselves as Amy and Mary and were very polite. They definitely wasted no time and asked me what I wanted them to focus on. I explained to them that the kitchen needed the most attention. I stayed for roughly thirty minutes clearing out the living room and then decided to go and grab a few drinks and snacks with the sisters that had helped me that afternoon. I told Amy and Mary that I would be back shortly and left them to clean the apartment. I came back to the apartment within an hour and as soon as I opened the door, I could immediately SMELL the difference. Amy was in the kitchen scrubbing out the dark stains from the oven when I had walked through the door and had explained to me that the eco friendly products she was using didn't emit the strong toxic odors like most cleaning products. I met up with Mary, who was in the master bedroom, and looked like she was gathering her supplies to head toward the living room. I looked at the bathtub and couldn't believe how spotless the tiles looked! I had even called the maintenance service to take a look at the mold growing on the tiles and they couldn't do what Mary did! I don't know what she used on those tiles, but the tiles no longer looked like they had a trace of mold. Overall, these two ladies did a wonderful job scrubbing and cleaning out my entire 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment! I was very pleased with the service and my apartment complex told me that they would give me back my full deposit that I had put down a year ago! Made appointment for house cleaning through their website. It seemed pretty straight forward to indicate how many rooms/bathrooms to clean. I left a note to also clean the guest house that is separate from the house and added 1 bedroom/bathroom to order. On the day of cleaning, I called their office to remind them to clean the guest house. They said they would call the cleaning crew to let them known and then call me back to tell me if the crew was able to clean the guest house. But they never called me back. When I arrived home, the main house was adequately cleaned. Except the cleaners left an entire pile of clean clothes unfolded for some reason. But they also did not clean the guest house like I asked. I again called the company to straighten things out. They offered to refund the cost of cleaning the extra bathroom that I paid for ($10) but refused to refund the extra bedroom I paid for ($30) but wasn't cleaned. The operator stated that they spent plenty of time on the main house that justified the extra $30. I told them that I wanted the refund for the extra $40 worth that wasn't cleaned. They refused to refund the whole amount. I told them never mind any refund but I would not use their company ever again. Bottom Line: Easy to order online but its not completely clear what they will clean due to over-simplicity of website. Customer service was inadequate. They are willing to lose a customer over $30. read more

Needed to get some house cleaning before July 4th celebrations and tried this cleaning service out for the first time. I'd heard about this place from my bro who's place was like 2x as big as my place ( 2bdrm condo 1135 sq ft) and they had done a good job so I decided to give them a try. I went ahead and made an appointment for Sunday...since I do nothing on Sundays. A team of two ladies showed up with bucket of green cleaning products, washcloths and they were very professional and courteous. I gave them the run down of how my place was setup and what were some main spots I wanted them to to look at. Then they just got started. I was pretty impressed, not only did it take alot less time then if I had decided to do it myself, but I was surprised at the level of cleaning detail. Dust that had been lying on top of the crown molding on the bottom of the floors had been cleaned off, old food splashguard (imaginary backboard) stains by the trashcan wall had been eliminated, dried food stains between the counter tiles had been wiped down and cleaned. Very noticeable difference in my kitchen. Those were just some of the highlights, that well.. for a single dude were just beyond my scope of vision apparently lol. Kudos to the team that swung by my place, they were really hard working. I am always impressed by work ethic. read more

The cleaning crew who came in today did a AMAZING job. I was just blown away by the level of care that they delivered. They also had a very positive attitude and I could tell they were there to do a good job. They brought their own cleaning tools and were very detail oriented. They vacuumed both of my upstairs bedrooms and de-cluttered and cleaned them.. as well as and cleaned my bath tubs and the areas behind the toilets and made my bathrooms feel like a whole new space that felt very clean. Even touching up and removing dust from my pc that was sitting on the ground as well as my blinds. I was VERY impressed by that, as it is an area that I spend a lot of time at. They did an excellent job in the kitchen as well, washing my dishes, disposing my trash, de-cluttering and organizing my counter tops. Highly recommended. read more

A few weeks ago, I made an appointment with Check Maid to give my house a good cleaning that it really needed. The appointment process was easy, I was able to find a time convenient for me and schedule it through their website (very cool). The maids (two of them!) arrived precisely on schedule, and were extremely friendly and professional. They brought all of their own equipment and supplies, so I was not worried about providing my own rags and mops or anything. I'm very pleased with the work they did in my house, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Dallas area looking to have their place thoroughly cleaned. Online booking process was very smooth and easy to navigate. The services for each level of cleaning they offer are made clear, and picking extras a la carte was simple. I really enjoyed the quality of their website and user interface. The cleaning crew contacting me just before the appointment to let me know they would be about 15 minutes late. I appreciated the heads up. Checkmaid seems to do a good job of communicating with their customers. The cleaning was very good quality. I found no spots uncleaned except some very hard to reach places that one would only really if he or she were a resident. I highly recommend Checkmaid if you want a quality and reliable experience. The only reason I am giving them 4/5 stars is for their price point. I think it is a bit expensive from a relative value standpoint (for the services they offer). There are cleaning services that are a better value, but I chose Checkmaid because they had consistently good reviews (except for that Negative Nancy Savy C. - note that 3/4 of her reviews are 1 star; Checkmaid did vacuum and mop our wood and tile floors). If you don't mind paying a little extra for reliable service, I highly recommend Checkmaid. read more

The only annoying thing was that I kept getting an error message when trying to book an appointment online but I called and it was fine. Jonathan and Katelyn did a great job this time and made sure they got the areas that were overlooked last time. They even asked me to give the apartment a once over and everything looked great. Solid experience with Check Maid last week. Booked them to clean my 1200 sq foot home before the holidays and they did a great job. Maids were prompt and very nice, and didn't require any assistance or direction aside from my basic requests. They finished it up quickly and I was pretty pleased with the results. This is the first time I had utilized a cleaning service, but with a busy schedule, I had not choice than to turn to someone for assistance. After reading the reviews, I settled with Check Maid and made the call. Scheduling an appointment went smoothly. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to know that they were available to come out the following day. The ladies arrived promptly at the scheduled time with cleaning products in hand. I welcomed them into my home, they introduced themselves and quickly went to work. I did not even have to provide them direction. I left for about an hour and when I returned, as I entered my home I could not get over how clean it smelled! I first entered the kitchen, and they had cleaned corners that I hadn't touched in about a year. I then walked to one of the bathrooms and I must admit, it sparkled! They were in the process of dusting, sweeping and mopping the bedrooms, and when they completed the job, they were immaculate. The ladies were courteous, professional, hard working and focused. Needless to say, my first experience welcoming a stranger to clean my home was great. I will definitely use their services again. read more

This service can't even get out of the gate. I called to book the service - its pricey compared to other services - but what killed the deal - even if I am booking two weeks out - they wanted to charge my credit card at the time of the booking. That is a no-no, and a no-go. There is not another company in Dallas that charges before services are completed. If they cancel - they've got my money and I don't have service. A very bad policy. When the work gets done, then payment should be made. No one pays an electrician before they arrive and do the work, a plumber, or anyone in the service industry. (The maid service I had been using needed me to call to schedule. This was more efficient.) The cleaning was very high quality and detailed. They were very efficient and professional. Did not vacuum or mop any of our wood floors or tile. Put the dirty sheets in a pile on top of our clean sheets. Broke a large plate and tried to hide it from us. Crumbs all over kitchen counters and kitchen tables. Did not offer to do a walk through, just indicated they were leaving. Treated very poorly by "Sam" at the Check Maid offices. They refused to return any phone call, saying they had phone issues, and would only speak about these issues through email. Below is an excerpt from an emails: "I spoke to Kate about the broken plate and she said she takes full responsibility for it and she never once tried hiding it from your husband as she accidentally dropped it and he then came downstairs. She said as soon as he walked downstairs she showed him the plate, apologized, (THIS IS A LIE, HE ACTUALLY HAD TO ASK WHAT BROKE, AS THE PLATE WAS ALREADY CLEANED UP BY THE TIME MY HUSBAND GOT DOWNSTAIRS. THEY TOOK OUR TRASH WITH THEM SO WE COULD NOT TAKE PICTURES TO "PROVE" THE PLATE WAS BROKEN) and told him it would be taken care of as they then discussed prices of how much the plate cost. (THE COMPANY HAS INDICATED THAT THE PLATE WILL TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO REPLACE, EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED THE DIRECT LINK. THEY REFUSED TO JUST OFFER A REFUND FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE PLATE.) She also said that her and her partner walked through the house after the cleaning with you husband (LIE) to go over everything before they left and everything was fine. (COMPLETE LIE) At this point in time if there were things not cleaned or not up to expectations they could have been brought up then, that is the point of the walk-through; it is made for the customer to tell the maid if they missed anything at all so before they leave they can take care of it. (IS THAT THE POINT OF A WALKTHROUGH? I MUST BE A MORON!) Of course they should know what they are doing and the floors are something that should be done no matter what, but as I said Kate said they did do a walk through and all was okay before they left. (HAHA) Not sure if there was a miscommunication or the floors were not noticed before the cleaners left but it is definitely something they would have taken care of before they left if it was brought to their attention at the time of the cleaning. (SO, WHAT IF WE WERENT HOME? IT WOULD BE NICE IF WE COULD RELY ON THE "CHECKLIST" PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY) Needless to say, it's really fun being accused of lying by a cleaning company! Sam refuses to contact me by phone or provide his/her supervisor's phone number. Absolutely ridiculous. Will attach pictures of our "clean" home. read more

After my review here Check Maid contacted me to offer me a free cleaning. This time they honored the appointment and two people came, cleaned for couple hours. The cleaning was good but not stellar. The crew was nice. All in all they are good but not excellent. Since then I have found another company to clean my house. Booking the service was quick and simple, and the maids arrived at the exact time that they said they would. The maids were very friendly, and went beyond my expectations with their cleaning. They did not need any extra cleaning products or equipment since they brought their own, and they completed the cleaning faster and more thoroughly than we anticipated. The floors were spotless, they dusted all of the furniture, and made every room smell nice and look beautiful. I have absolutely no complaints about Check Maid Cleaning Services, and I will not hesitate to use them again for any of my future get-togethers, or even if our place just needs a quick touch up. Check Maid's service is impeccable. The website couldn't be easier to use and scheduling is a cinch. They're available for service at a wide variety of hours 7 days a week. We chose the move out option and really couldn't have been more satisfied. The apartment felt even cleaner afterwards than when we first moved in. I do keep up with routine cleaning every week but there were some trouble spots that would never be clean but Check Maid miraculously got rid of the mess. The bathrooms sinks were not cleaned at all... I had asked the oven to be cleaned and they sprayed the cleaner inside the oven however they did not clean inside the oven.They were suppose to come back and finish the job but they never did. I was told they had noone to come back and finish the job correctly. It was overall a poor job for what was quoted. read more
