Worst customer service ever!!! We went with Horizon Bank since they were local but had so many…read moreproblems throughout our loan with customer service, misinformation, and billing for fees they did not communicate about. Lafayette branch manager BB was extremely rude regarding the additional fee that was "tacked on" to our loan after our last payment but we were NEVER billed for. He refused his manager information and hung up on me. When calling Horizon at their 800# the lady stated that BB should have referred me to their loan dept. instead of trying to answer my question. She stated he was just branch manager. Needless to say, I received a completely different answer from their loan department regarding their "extra fee." They did state there was an error in the original fee process and that they paid the fee for us upfront so we needed to pay it now. She stated this was in one of the 100 loan pages we signed and we "should" have been told to pay this while completing paperwork. Since we weren't asked "Horizon" decided to pay this fee without communicating with us at the start of our loan, never asked us to pay it at that time, and our bill never reflected this extra amount anywhere on our billing statements. We were billed .16cents for our final bill but then they took an additional $175 out the next month that we were never billed but they stated we owed. I was frustrated regarding their service and WILL never go to Horizon Bank again. Highly recommend to steer clear of banking and loans with them. The bank was more concerned about justifying why they think they were right vs. admitting their communication and billing mistake in order to make it right with a great paying customer. If 0 was a rating that is what I would rate.
