This might be the first review I've left for a non restaurant business but had such a good…read moreexperience with United that I felt compelled to share. I'm not a big car buff and regular maintenance, inspections etc always lead to me being slightly unsure about what the service entails, what it should cost, wondering if I'm being overcharged etc... in the few auto shops I've been to over the years, there seems to be an unwritten "no questions" policy -- apparently we're all supposed to be auto experts. All the above is why I was so delighted by my experience with United. I was able to schedule my inspection with a quick and pleasant call. They took me in on time, conducted the whole thing in under 10 minutes and had me on my way. They were pleasant and kind and didn't seem so in a rush like other auto shops I've been to. They're family run which is nice too. Go check them out, you'll be in good hands!

No matter how desperate you are - do NOT take your car here for an inspection…read more Owner 'Matt' agreed to squeeze us in. They barely looked at the car And it passed with flying colors. We drove around the block and parked for restrictions. While we were sitting there -less than 10 minutes after driving it away from this garage- someone pointed out our tire had a bubble! A very dangerous undrivable condition. When I went back to Matt, he said that was not an issue, and he was correct to give us the inspection sticker. Obviously it's not. I would have been better off finding someone not squeezing me in so we could drive the car today. And Response was so offensive he doesn't deserve our patronage.

I am glad to do research on Yelp and find this place to fix my 2017 Mini cooper. I prepared to…read moredrive to Westchester dealer store to fix my car without right rear turn signal, reverse lamp and right brake/tail lamp from Queens on Saturday morning. I read reviews on the place then I decided to go here on Thursday afternoon. and they replaced my broken parts on next Monday. I highly recommend because these reasons. 1. receptionist very professional and sweet. she made an appointment and confirmed with a text message. she will remind you the day before appointment. (All staffs in the office very organized) 2. machinist very professional. I forgot ask what his name is, but I think all machinists all doing good job. He fixed my lights after Thursday afternoon check and suggested me need change all lights. 3. price. I don't know if it is good price. but they order from my car brand company. and list all parts price very clear. they charged only replacement parts price at first time then you will pay rest of money when they finish all work. I appreciate that they give me a pleasant experience when I so frustration to deal with my car problems. I will definitely go there if I need help.

I brought my car in, and they tried to charge me $460 to take a look at my car door and my AC unit…read more They then said that they couldn't determine the issue and tried to charge me an additional $300 to test the AC unit. I told them I needed my car back and when they said it was ready to be picked up, the door panel was still removed from the car. I took my car to the dealership to get serviced because these people didn't, and they showed me the door panel was damaged by these mechanics and duck taped back together! These people tried to overcharge me then used duct tape to repair damage that they did to the car. They leave the car outside in an unsecured lot and my car was scratched while in their care. Do not think you'll save money here; this place is a scam.

Despite being quite busy, the time was made, problem diagnosed and I got home with peace of mind…read more Good, kind people. I asked what I owed. Expectation was a few hundred. No charge.

Pretty decent experience here--had an issue with my car stalling, and they took a look at and…read morereplaced my battery, which I expected and was at what I'd consider a standard or reasonable price --not an amazing deal, but not a ripoff--fair price for work done. They did further recommend that I replace my tires--I can't tell if that was upselling or legit--I had a recall and asked the dealer to take a look; they said I should replace them relatively soon but that also it could wait a bit. The other thing I found irksome was that I got a parking ticket notice in the mail a few weeks after the battery replacement that was clearly received while the car was here and parked on their block. I will say to their credit that they acknowledged it right away and paid it without fuss (or to be specific, reimbursed me, as by the time I received the notice the ticket was close to overdue, forcing me to pay it immediately online), but I still found it to be a nuisance. Whether the ticket was a rare occurrence for them or just a built-in expected cost for parking on city streets, I feel like they should have been aware and paid the ticket without my having to get the notice and call them to deal with it, wait to be reimbursed, etc. They did follow up a couple of times to ask if repairs were acceptable and car was running well. So I'm legitimately torn. Many positives here--it feels hard to find an honest and efficient mechanic--I will probably return the next time I have an issue, but I wouldn't say I'm fully devoted yet, as one would like to be for their car repair, and would pause and consider another option if I can find a better local rec.
