First, they can't get me a fax number that actually works. Then when I finally have one and the order goes through, they let me know they will not authorize the service with my insurance because it didn't come from one of their physicians. They expect that a major hospital system will do their work for them to authorize service with their institution because, of course, they won't accept the notes and information from another provider (again major hospital system). Then when I raise the concern about not being told that from the beginning, they proceed to say they told me already with a condescending tone. Why would I waste a week of my time getting something that they know isn't possible to get. I guess the poor ratings here should have scared me off more than they did.

I knew I had to do something and I was looking for a medical solution that wouldn't require pills or surgery. I wanted the problem fixed, not just treated. My mom recommended Chiropractor Todd Smith at Fairview Park Chiropractic Center. She has been seeing him for years because of a work related injury. I've been a regular patient since December 2010. Dr. Smith and I sat down for an initial consultation to diagnose the issue. We created a treatment plan that worked around my jumbled work schedule. After a month of regular treatment, my shoulder felt great and I'm back to downward facing dogs and cobras. When I leave the office, my shoulder feels brand new. Fairview Chiropractic is flexible, professional, friendly, and effective. I believe they take most insurances. They can work with your schedule to treat your injury or issue. Dr. Smith cares about his patients and their well being. Fairview Chiropractic Center also offers medical and relaxation massage by a licensed massage therapist at prices lower than fancy salons.

Mom was in failing health and trying to rehab at the Brookside rehab center very close by. When it became clear she needed to go to the hospital, Brookside did not have transport available so the ambulance had to be called - so we had no choice but to have her go to St Johns. We would have never had wanted or picked to go here. Mom arrived around 6 AM. My brother got there at 7 AM. She was on a gurney in and out of consciousness in a hallway of the ER. There were twice as many people waiting to be seen in the ER than they had room for. She was tucked in next to the blanket warmer with one chair nearby. My brother stayed with her - around 4 PM he called me in Columbus to tell me there was nothing they could do - that she needed to go to hospice. But of course, hospice had no room for her. I packed my bags and got to the ER at 6:30 PM. She was still parked in the same spot. There was not room for us to be with her or we would be blocking traffic. My sister in law arrived a little later then my nephew and his girlfriend. We took turns standing near Mom and had to openly display our grief as we comforted each other and spent time with Mom. My SIL is a nurse and finally had had enough. After almost 14 hours on a gurney in the hallway in ER, my SIL advocated enough to get her sent to a private room. Once settled in the room, the staff was able to clean her up and get her comfortable. There was a breakroom near her room that we took turn hanging out in as it was too crowded for us in the room. My other nieces and nephew-in-law showed up during the night. The next job was to get her over to hospice. While we at least had some privacy to deal with our grief, it still was not as nice as the nearby hospice facility my dad had died at. Around 6 pm, they finally were able to transport her. I highly recommend you go some place else if you have any option. Even if you're dying, this is not a good place to go.

When Dr. Lamendola saw me for the first time it was only about 7 minutes, of which he talked about his vacations and how successful he is as a foot surgeon. This is odd because the office itself is completely rundown. Beyond the scheduling & office issues, Dr. Lamendola doesn't seem to be following best practices. His first line of defense was an expensive custom foot insole, he hinted that I could potentially need surgery. The insole was terribly thick/uncomfortable. The staff told me to give it a few weeks, and then to come back in for a re-fitting. After trying the insole for a week I had enough. I gave the insole back and told them I would not be paying for it or a follow up office visit. I found another doctor who completely fixed my issue in a single visit. He was confused at the path Dr. Lamendola took in my care, saying the medically-accepted first line of defense should have been done
