Fun times riding ATVs with Chavos Motor Sport Rentals
    Steven R.

I was in search of an outdoor adventure in Ensenada and I am glad I found Chavos. The young lady that helped us was very helpful and spoke English very well. I forgot her name, but she mentioned being the owner's daughter and graduating from SDSU. My group and I opted for the 4 hour Hot Springs tour. We were assigned a tour guide, Sergio. Sergio was very helpful from beginning to end. He helped us adjust our helmets and took us to eat fish tacos at the end of our excursion. The off-roading part was adventurous. It was fun driving the ATVs through hills, creeks, and best seeing the Mexicans get stuck in the sand trying to off-road with their low-riders. When we got there it was very beautiful, there was lots of trees, natural hot springs and mud pools. The female in my group was ready to jump in the hot spring naked, but I had to stop her. I told her: "Hello, you not in Baker's Beach in San Francisco, a cartel member might fall in love with you and kidnap your Asian ass." She agreed to put her clothes on, thank God. I recommend Chavos Motor Sports Rentals when you visit Ensenada. I was also told they offer zip-lining and wine tours.

4 wheeling track at Las Canadas on a Chavos rented ATV
    Adam R.

We were in town for the day on a cruise. I had communicated with them previously about renting a 4 wheeler for the day. I found them on Facebook and they would always immediately return my Facebook messages. It was very helpful. We were told they would be at the cruise terminal that day, but their stand was empty. No biggie, we asked around and took the shuttle bus into town and where the shuttle dropped us off, we payed a lady in a booth for the Chavos rental and then they took us on a golf cart to Chavos. If I had to do it all over again, I'd just walk to Chavos. It's super close to the cruise terminal. That way I could deal directly with Chavos, and not have to deal with a third party. The price was the same though, it all worked out. They spoke English, gave us both helmets, a map and a full tank of gas. My wife and I rode together on one ATV. We were on our way. No guide, just us. I recommend riding the 45 mins out to Las Canadas and doing the zip lining. You can ride the ATV's on the streets in Mexico all the way there, some areas are pretty rough (poverty, not the roads), but it was a manageable ride. $100 total for the day. Las Canadas has a 4 wheeling track you can use for free afterwards. We got back in town, hit up a fish taco stand that was the bomb, Tacos El Fenix, and then turned the ATV in and walked back to the ship. Fun day.

    Horrible manager and experience.

My point was to deliver no stars ...this was the most horrible experience ever ....service was horrible and the manager had a baby in her lap very disrespectful and dogs and animals in the business room don't take your business here ever it's not worth your time money or emotions...

I said that he is obliged to keep the compact car as per the reservation. If he doesn't have compact car, he must give me any available car to meet his obligation. He insisted that i must pay $120 for the new car. He refused to honer the reservation despite he had the car. He told me told me contact hertz.I didn't have time to waste as my cruise had only 5 hours. My family of 4 had many plans for Ensenada Mexico. All of them shattered because of breach of contract and unprofessionalism. We didn't expect this from Hertz franchise. SCAM: Within seconds of returning your vehicle, the uniquely misshapen tires of your vehicle will be pointed out and incur a fee greater than the cost of the rental. The tires are intact and completely functional, but just odd looking in a way that only the employees know about. ADVICE: Take detailed photos of your car on the rental lot and again when you return it to prove there are no changes. We've been told by locals that Alamo is a much more reliable rental agency in Ensenada. SHAME: It may not be Hertz's fault as they simply lend their name to a local institution that they may or may not regulate with frequency, but they should strongly consider removing their association with these operators.
